    Knitting pattern for knee socks

    These knee socks are crocheted according to the pattern below. Pattern for socks, the higher you tie them, you can get knee socks or even stockings.

    But for beginners, a more detailed description of this scheme:

    We cast on a chain of the required number of chain stitches (for example, for leg sizes 35-37 I cast on 12 in stitches + 3 chain stitches in the first row) and knit in the round. In each row, starting from the first, we make increases in two places (on the sides of the sock): 1) 2 additional sts. double crochet on both sides 3 ch. lifting (at the beginning of the row and at the end) 2) 2 additional st. with a double crochet in the opposite loop, 3 ch. lifting (i.e. in this loop we knit only 3 double crochets). And so on for several rows, the number of which depends on the width of the foot. Next, we knit the upper part of the instep with an openwork pattern, and continue to knit the lower part with double crochets. You can start openwork knitting only from the boot. You can knit the bottom of the sock with single crochets, as in this example of openwork crocheted golf socks. We knit the foot in the heel area NOT in a circle, but by unrolling the knitting. We knit the back wall of the heel (the rise to form the heel) like this: We attach from the side of the foot to the right edge of the required width of the heel (from the middle column of the foot we count, for example, 4 double crochets and attach - it all depends on the width of the heel, you may need to count more ). We dial 2 v.p. rise (replaces the first double crochet stitch), knit the number of stitches required for the width of the heel. double crochet (for example, 7 pcs + 2 ch, replacing the first stitch, i.e. in this case, the width of the heel in the lowest row will be 8 double crochets). Having knitted 7 sts. with a double crochet, we fasten with the help of a connecting post to the desired place of the previous row, we make a couple more connecting posts along the foot posts. To lift each next row instead of 3 v.p. lifting we knit 3 connecting columns (black circles in the picture), to widen the heel we add 1-2 tbsp. with a crochet for heel width, etc. according to the diagram. You can knit the heel lift without simultaneously attaching to the foot (diagram below). And then connect the instep with the foot with a separate thread (arches along the edges - schematic connection lines). We knit the openwork part in a circle according to the basic pattern. We knit the bootleg according to the pattern to the desired sock height: To switch to knitting an elastic band, we knit an additional row of double crochets. We knit the elastic according to the pattern, alternating a convex and concave double crochet. We finish the elastic with a row of single crochets.

    Beautiful snow-white knee socks, crocheted from delicate openwork patterns, will look great on your legs, emphasizing their slimness.

    You will need: 150 g of white yarn, hook, elastic band.

    Description of the process of knitting knee socks

    Dial a chain of 72 chains and close it in a circle. Continue knitting according to pattern 1, gradually decrease the air loops in the pattern towards the ankle, in the arches - up to 5. Having knitted 54 rows according to pattern 1, continue knitting half of all loops according to the same pattern, for the second half, knit a chain of 36 chain stitches and based on it, knit the bottom of the foot, alternating 1 half double crochet and 1 single crochet. Knit 16 rows in this way, decreasing 1 tbsp. on both sides of the bottom of the foot.

    For the toe, knit rows of st. b/n, evenly decreasing 4 tbsp in each row.

    For the heel on one side of the left hole, knit 36 tbsp, then knit 24 rows of dc, divide the work into 3 parts of 12 sts and knit 24 rows of dc on the central loops, with the last st in each row knit together with st. side parts. Sew up the resulting hole with a needle.

    Thread a thin hat elastic along the top of the golf course.

    The second patterned knee socks are knitted similarly, but according to pattern 2.

    Knitting knee socks according to a pattern with description

    With the onset of the first cold weather, people begin to urgently insulate themselves. Warm jackets, knitted hats, scarves and, of course, knee socks are used. After all, it is warm knee socks that best protect women’s legs from the cold. Especially if their owner wears a short skirt instead of practical jeans or warm trousers.
    In this educational step-by-step knitting master class we will talk about how to knit a beautiful stylish model of women's knee socks. It will appeal not only to experienced, but also to novice craftswomen who for the first time decided to try their hand at such an important task as knitting warm knee socks.

    Master class on knitting warm golf socks

    In winter and late autumn it is very cold outside. Therefore, all fashionistas have to warm themselves up, while giving up their favorite shorts and short skirts. If you don’t want to give up minis during the cold season, you need stylish knitted knee socks. They will not only perfectly warm you up in the cold, but will also complement your look, making it more stylish, original and bright!

    Knitting such an unusual model of women's knee socks is very simple. Even novice craftswomen will be able to do this task! In order to make beautiful elegant knitted knee socks with your own hands you will need:

    • thick wool or cotton yarn;
    • knitting needles – 5 pcs.;
    • scissors;
    • hook;
    • two circuits that will be demonstrated in this article.

    Before you start creating women's socks according to the description, create a small sample to determine the knitting density. This will make the work much easier for novice craftswomen. The following abbreviations will be used throughout the job description:

    • n. - loop;
    • persons – facial;
    • purl – purl4;
    • R. - row;
    • chrome – edge.

    We are starting a training master class with a detailed description of all actions. For knitting, a pattern called “Speck” is used. It consists only of faces. R. To knit a beautiful product that fits tightly to your legs, you must first take measurements. You need to measure the distance from the heel to the top of the shin, the length from the heel to the top fold and the width of your shin. The number of loops depends on these measurements. But, it must be divisible by 4, since we will be knitting golf socks on 4 knitting needles.
    In this step-by-step master class, exactly 80 stitches will be cast on the knitting needles. This number of stitches must be distributed over 4 working knitting needles, so that each has 20 pcs. You cast on the loops based on the measurements taken! We knit according to the first pattern. We work based on the size of the shin. Having reached the part where the product narrows, that is, having knitted about 10 cm, we decrease the loops according to the pattern. Having completely formed the narrowing area, we knit again using the pattern for beginners. Having knitted the product to the heel, put 2 and 3 knitting needles aside. We continue work 1 and 4.
    We create the required height for the heel. We combine all stitches with 1 and 4 knitting needles. It’s probably no secret that the heel of knee socks wears out much faster than other areas of the product. Therefore it needs to be compacted. To do this, you need to knit the heel according to the following pattern: chrome. we remove the p., we perform one stitch, we remove 1 p., we knit 1 and so on until the end of the row.
    We knit the next row, that is, the wrong side of the product according to the description. n. We do not remove the hinges. Using this simple description for beginners, we knit the entire height of the heel. That is, about 4-7 cm.

    At this stage of the master class, we need to divide all the loops between 3 knitting needles. If you cannot divide by 3, transfer a little more stitches to the middle needle. We start knitting stitches from the central part and 1 side. We knit the last loop together with 1 stitch on the second side. Turn the product over and continue knitting using the same pattern.
    Gradually, the shape of the knitted heel will become similar to a voluminous box. According to the description, we decrease stitches until there are no loops left on the side knitting needles. After the heel is ready, we move on to forming the sole.
    On the side of future women's golfers we knit additional loops from edge loops. When knitting the upper side sts, we make decreases according to the second pattern. According to this pattern, you need to knit part of the product up to the little finger. Then the loops are closed: 2 pcs. in every row.
    To seal the finger area, it must be tied using the facial method. We told beginning craftswomen about it in more detail at the beginning of this training master class. To prevent knitted knee socks from slipping off the top of the product while wearing, you can tighten the elastic band using a hook.
    Knitted knee socks are ready! We hope that this simple master class helped beginning knitters master the technique of knitting women's knee socks and now they will be able to please themselves and their loved ones with beautiful new clothes!

    I'll start with crochet knee socks. Here's the diagram.

    As far as I understand, this is a diagram of half a golf course.
    I started to figure it out yesterday, I realized that it was difficult for me and decided to redraw it as it was more convenient for me. Maybe it will be useful to someone else.

    This is the diagram Ilifel shared, for which I thank her very much!!!

    Through trial and error I came up with this - we collect a chain of ch, equal to 3-3.5 cm. I found this to be optimal for any size. I have 11 ch. For a larger size you can dial more, in the diagram 14 ch. Next, we knit according to the pattern with additions until we reach the desired width of the sock. I will knit using a golf shirt bought in a store. My width is 7 cm. After the 5th row, I didn’t add any more. Please note that when switching to openwork, expansion also occurs in the upper part. Since I had already reached the desired width, I left not 3, but 4 loops between the bunches of the first openwork row.

    I knitted the desired length to the heel:

    Next you need to attach a new thread to knit the heel. The diagram shows a cross in a circle. We don’t break our working thread!!! I don’t like these attachments of a new thread, so I moved to the right place with connecting posts. The last diagram clearly shows how to knit a heel, but I still took a few photos for beginners. I ended up with 21 double crochet stitches on the bottom. I divided it for the heel like this: 7p - 7p - 7p. That is, for the central part I attach the thread to the 8th loop from the edge, make 2 ch, knit 5 double crochets and 1 single crochet, 2 connecting stitches (I apologize for the bad photos, it’s dark in the room in the morning. I’ll try to change it to better ones when I knit second golfer):

    I unfold the knitting, knit 7 double crochets, skip from the column of the bottom row and do it with the joint of the column (in the 5th and 4th columns from the edge):

    I unroll the knitting again, knit 7 double crochets, also skip 2 stitches of the bottom row and knit connecting stitches in the 3rd, 2nd and 1st loops of the bottom row. I unfold the knitting, knit the last row of the heel from 7 double crochets and attach it with a connecting stitch to the outer loop. In reality, everything is much simpler than in words... I don’t know if I explained it clearly. Basically, an ordinary heel... If you ask anything. This is how the heel turned out.
