• DIY cardboard tank drawings. DIY paper tank. Making a tank out of cardboard with your own hands

    14.02.2024

    You can create a model of any vehicle with your own hands from scrap materials. In this master class we will show you how to make a model of a tank from packaging cardboard. You can collect it together with your children. They will enjoy this kind of fun, and once you have mastered the basic principles, you will be able to create other models.

    Materials

    To make a cardboard tank model with your own hands, prepare:

    • cardboard;
    • scissors;
    • handle;
    • ruler;
    • glue;
    • scotch.

    Step 1. On cardboard you need to draw and cut out the main components of the tank. It is better to do this gradually so as not to get confused in the details. To start, cut out two strips of cardboard 19 x 1 cm, two more strips 9.5 x 1 cm and eight circles. Cut circles from squares with a side of 1 cm. To do this, simply cut off the sharp corners.

    Step 2. The prepared parts are the components of the tracks. Take the long strips and fold them into an oval, securing the ends with tape. Spread the sides of the ovals with PVA glue and glue them to strips of shorter length. Hold the pieces until they set, and after the glue has hardened, cut off the protruding corners from the side strips.

    Step 3. Glue the circles to the caterpillars. Grease the contacting sides with glue and insert the circles into the ovals. Place them at the same distance from each other.

    Step 4. Now we need to cut out new components for another part of the tank. As a result, you should have two 5 x 7 cm rectangles, two 5 x 0.5 cm strips and a strip of cardboard with sides 5 x 1 cm.

    Step 5. Grease the long sides of a large rectangle with glue and glue the tank tracks to them, stepping back a little from the center line. Glue a wide strip at the back of the tank, and two thin strips at the front, as shown in the photo.

    Glue a second large rectangle on top of the entire structure.

    Step 6. To create the top of the tank, prepare one 5 x 5 cm square, one 5 x 1 cm rectangle and three 5 x 0.5 cm strips.

    Step 7. Glue three identical strips around the perimeter of the square. Attach the resulting structure to the existing tank base with glue. Cover the remaining open part with a wider strip, laying it at an angle, as shown in the photo. Glue up the empty triangles formed on the sides. Cut out the blanks for this from cardboard and adjust them to size yourself.

    Step 8. For the tank turret, cut out one rectangle with sides 4 x 1 cm, 3.5 x 2.5 cm, 3.5 x 1 cm, two rectangles with sides 2.5 x 1 cm, as well as a trapezoid from a rectangle with sides 3, 5 x 1 cm.

    Step 9. Glue the trapezoidal part to the large rectangle. On the sides, at an angle of 90 degrees, glue two identical strips. Cover the open parts of the tower with the remaining pieces of cardboard; for this purpose, adjust the long strip to the shape of a trapezoid.

    Step 10. Glue the turret to the tank, turning it slightly at an angle. Glue two strips on top of the tracks - the so-called protectors.

    Step 11. Cut out blanks for the barrel of the tank. You will need two strips 1 x 0.3 cm and one with sides 2.5 x 0.3 cm. Glue the small strips on both sides of the long one, laying them across. Glue the barrel itself with the resulting base to the tank turret.

    Step 12. Now make small details that will complete the overall appearance of the tank. This is a sapper blade and a hatch, consisting of a circle (2 x 2 cm square) and a long strip. This is an automatic machine gun, also consisting of a small circle (1 x 1 cm) and a strip, and two tanks.

    The cardboard tank model is ready!

    Parents of boys know how difficult it can sometimes be to engage a toddler in some useful activity. In this case, a proven technique comes to the rescue: playing with cars or military equipment. And if you have the time and desire, then you can try to introduce the boy to an entertaining hobby: making paper car models. First, you should try making a tank out of corrugated cardboard.

    Features of the craft

    Corrugated cardboard is much easier to work with than many other types of paper.

    It is hardly possible to imagine a male being indifferent to military equipment. Moreover, it does not matter at all how old the representative of the strong half of humanity is: both at 5 and at 35 he will be equally enthusiastic about modeling a modern tank or all-terrain vehicle. This homemade toy has many advantages compared to factory-made analogues. Since, firstly, you yourself are responsible for the quality of its manufacture. Secondly, made from corrugated cardboard, it will serve your little warrior for quite a long time - corrugated cardboard is a durable material, which nevertheless is easily glued and takes the desired shape. In addition, tank models can be made in different sizes - this will not affect their strength in any way. In general, crafts made from corrugated cardboard can not only be a great pastime for a child, but also turn into an entertaining hobby in the future.

    Materials and tools for work

    To make a tank you will need a minimum of materials and tools

    Before you start making a toy model of a tank, you should prepare the necessary materials so that nothing distracts you from modeling. And, of course, the most important thing is to purchase corrugated cardboard. This material has a significant advantage for those who like to model from paper: for all its strength, it bends very easily and takes the desired shape without extra effort. And this quality is especially important when it comes to crafts for children.

    This is interesting. Corrugated cardboard first appeared in Great Britain in 1856. Moreover, the material was used as... a lining for hats. And only a few decades later, manufacturers appreciated the properties of such cardboard to create additional conditions for protecting a wide variety of goods from damage.

    Another important preparatory stage is the choice of glue. Regular PVA is considered universal. But if you have the opportunity, you can purchase silicate glue or use a special industrial one. Just keep in mind that such compositions contain many harmful substances, so do not let your child work without gloves and do not leave the young designer unattended.

    You will also need scissors. It is best if it is a stationery knife, as its sharp edge is convenient for cutting out small parts. But such a tool is quite dangerous, so if you are not sure that the child will be extremely careful, it is better to give him ordinary scissors.

    In order for all the details to be smooth and neat, they must be correctly calculated and drawn. To do this, you cannot do without a ruler and a sharpened pencil.

    Instructions for making a tank from corrugated cardboard

    The most durable models of military equipment are obtained, in particular tanks, made with elements of quilling techniques. That is, the parts are twisted strips of cardboard. We will need

    • sheets of corrugated cardboard in two colors (for example, blue and green);
    • scissors;
    • PVA glue;
    • ruler, pencil.

    The tank manufacturing technology consists of a sequence of 11 steps:

    1. We cut blue cardboard into strips 1.5 cm wide.
    2. We twist 4 strips - these are small caterpillar wheels.
    3. We glue a couple of strips together and make 2 more twisted circles - these are large wheels.
    4. We cut out two strips 3 cm wide from green cardboard and glue each into a circle.
    5. We stretch the circle a little and glue 4 wheels into it - 2 large on the sides and 2 small in the center. We've got tank tracks.
    6. Now we cut out a rectangle from green cardboard and make 3 cm folds along the wide sides.
    7. We glue the tracks along the long side so that the folds can be secured to them.
    8. We cut out 2 strips of 4 cm wide from blue cardboard, fold them in half and stick them on the tank platform.
    9. Between these parts you need to place the tank turret, which is made according to the wheel model.
    10. We glue a cannon onto the tower. To do this, fold a piece of cardboard of the required length into a tube.
    11. We also twist wide strips (about 2–3 cm) into 2 fuel tanks. The craft is ready.

    Step-by-step assembly of parts in the photo: master class

    If you don’t like quilling, then the tank tracks can be made simple. All parts should be well glued
    Wheels can be cut out by drawing a circle of the desired diameter
    All cuts must be made carefully

    Static model: how to make it yourself

    Making another model of the tank will take you a little less time, but the car will turn out to be static, since it is glued to a sheet of paper. For such a tank you will need the same set of materials. Only the scheme will be slightly different:

    1. Cut out two strips of cardboard about 1.5 cm wide.
    2. We roll the strips into a circle, glue them together and stretch them slightly.
    3. We attach the resulting ovals to paper.
    4. We cut out a rectangle, bend it inward ¼ of the length and make a small outer bend on these folds. It is needed to glue the platform between two tracks onto paper.
    5. We cut out another rectangle 1.5 times smaller than the previous one and make the same bends - this is the tank’s cabin. We fix it on the platform.
    6. Now it's just a matter of small things: you need to make a cannon. To do this, cut out a strip of cardboard and draw 3 vertical lines on it so that the distance between the segments is the same.
    7. We bend the figure along the lines, coat one of the sides with glue and bring it together with the opposite edge. The result is a long, voluminous triangle.
    8. We make small cuts in the corners of the figure and bend it outward. We glue these tails to the tank's cabin.
    9. You can paint a red star on the body of a combat vehicle. The craft is ready.

    Video: Making a tank from corrugated cardboard

    Corrugated cardboard opens up truly incredible possibilities for creativity. Try to get your son interested in this activity, and you will probably soon have many models of different combat units in your home. And most importantly, such crafts are unique, and this means that the little warrior will become the owner of toys that no one else has.

    Master class on the topic: " Tank".

    I want to continue what I started topic: February 23 - Day of Defenders of the Fatherland! To decorate a corner dedicated to this significant date, you can make a tank too. After all, when introducing children to different branches of the military, it is necessary to mention tankers. Tank We build on the same principle as a ship. So we will need the following materials:

    1. Black cardboard, corrugated cardboard, colored paper.

    2. A milk carton and a small tea box.

    3. Old felt-tip pen, the lid from the jar of vitamins and toothpaste is small.

    4. PVA glue, glue gun.

    5. Scissors, awl, stationery knife.

    First, we cover both boxes with green paper and glue them together.

    We are preparing parts for mounting the wheels. Cut out 8 large and 4 small wheels from thick and black cardboard. We pierce them with an awl in the middle.

    We mount the wheels to tank. We insert a furniture nail into each wheel. Then we use an awl to make punctures in the body tank and insert the wheel on the nail there, having previously lubricated it with glue.

    Prepare 2 corrugated strips cardboard.

    Glue the tracks around the wheels tank on both sides.

    We cut a hole for the hatch with a utility knife. and glue the cover onto the hatch.

    Glue to tank 2 fuel tanks - you can take 2 old hot rollers. You can glue shells from plastic dowels, you can make tankers out of traffic jams.

    We paint all plastic parts. Available in black, green or metallic. I took bronze acrylic paint.

    Last step: making a stand for a tank and design the composition.

    Congratulations! All is ready!

    Most boys enjoy playing with military-themed toys. They develop cunning plans and try on the role of commanders. As a rule, these toys are purchased in stores, are very expensive and constantly break in children's hands.

    If it is normal for a child to lose or break a new toy, then make a tank out of paper. But here the question arises about how to properly make a tank with your own hands.

    In the photo of a homemade tank you can see the main elements that should be present on it.

    Materials for the tank

    The instructions on how to make a tank are quite simple and easy to follow. You need to follow a few simple rules to create a craft.

    To create a paper tank, you do not need to spend a lot of money. For the preparation you will need plain paper. Making a tank is not difficult.

    But here the question arises: “what can a gift tank be made from?” When working on a toy, you will need the following materials: glue, sharp scissors, a simple pencil, paper of various colors and a long ruler.

    We make tracks

    Then you need to cut two strips from this sheet. The width of the strip should be 30 millimeters, and the length should be 220 millimeters. From these figures you need to make rings, and then glue their ends using PVC glue.

    Creating a body

    Take a green sheet of paper, on which you need to draw a rectangle using a ruler and pencil. The width of the rectangle is 80 millimeters, the length is 140 millimeters. It is necessary to retreat 5 millimeters in height and draw a line from top to bottom.

    Next, you need to take a step of 30 millimeters closer to the middle of the sheet. You need to draw a line there. All lines made with a pencil must be crumpled. Thus, the body of a toy tank is formed.

    Building a tower

    We take the green leaf again and cut out a figure measuring 80 by 100 millimeters. Then, one by one, we draw lines relative to the outskirts. Initially, these lines are 5 millimeters from the edge, then 20 millimeters. We bend the bends again.

    You will need another instance of the rectangle. It will go into the production of a muzzle. The size of the figure is 60 by 100 millimeters. You need to take a rectangle and fold it in half twice. Using your fingers, you need to give the figure the appearance of a triangle.

    Collecting a toy tank

    At the next stage, we need to assemble a single figure from the created elements. To do this, we take the barrel and glue it to the tower. To do this you will need to make three small cuts.

    Each cut should not exceed 0.5 millimeters. The joints of the tower must be coated with glue and then attached to the body. We wait a couple of minutes for the elements of the tank to grip together.

    The second step is to put the paper tracks on the tank body. In order for a toy paper tank to be durable, it is necessary to use extremely thick paper. An alternative to this can be thin cardboard.

    A star with five points, which is strongly associated with our army, can be especially chic. To do this, you need to take a sheet of red paper and cut out a shape from it. Next you need to glue the star onto the toy tank.

    Corrugated cardboard tank: blanks

    Another way to create a toy tank is to use corrugated cardboard, scissors and glue.

    It is necessary to cut strips of blue corrugated cardboard, the size of which corresponds to 10 by 250 millimeters. From this strip you need to twist the wheels in the future.

    We take green cardboard and cut out a figure 30 by 300 millimeters. Coat the figure with glue and wrap 4 wheels around it.

    Corrugated cardboard tank: making the base

    Original ideas for tanks for gifts say that creating a toy from corrugated cardboard would be unusual.

    We are creating the basis of a future toy tank. To do this, you need to cut out a rectangular shape from corrugated cardboard. This will become the platform for the future tank. We glue the tracks to the platform. To do this, you need to step back from the edge by 10 millimeters.

    Using blue cardboard, you need to make two strips, whose width will be equal to 15 millimeters. The strip should be folded in half and glued to the tank platform.

    A tower should be glued in the middle of the platform. It rolls up in much the same way as wheels. Corrugated cardboard fuel cans should be secured behind the platform of the toy tank.

    Roll the cardboard into a tube. This will be the cannon of our armor-piercing tank. It needs to be fixed to the tower. That's it, your tank is ready.

    So, whatever your method of making a toy tank, you will be pleased with the final result. You will receive an exclusive toy, have fun together, and learn how to create interesting crafts from plain paper, which can be easily purchased in stores.

    At a child's birthday party, as an entertainment program for little guests, you can conduct a master class on how to make a tank with your own hands. Little children will remember this for a long time and will bring them real pleasure.

    Outside February, which means that the most masculine holiday will soon come - Defender of the Fatherland Day.

    For the manufacture of « Tanka» us will be needed:

    -corrugated cardboard

    Color cardboard

    PVA glue

    Glue "Moment Universal" transparent

    Pencil

    1. Let's start manufacturing with the tracks of our future « Tanka»

    For this we need strips corrugated cardboard width 1.5 centimeters.

    (8 pieces).

    For each track you need to twist 2 washers from one strip and 2 washers from two strips. It is better to coat the strips with glue.

    I started using PVA glue, but it takes a long time to dry, so it’s better to use glue "Moment". While the glue was drying, I tied the finished washers together with rubber bands for weaving bracelets.

    We form the caterpillar wheels from the finished washers and glue the washers together. It is better to glue with a glue gun. Glues a strip to the wheels corrugated cardboard - the caterpillar itself.

    2. Proceed to making the case « Tanka» .

    We'll need a colored one cardboard 9*11 cm. We make a bend on each side of our rectangle, retreating 1.5 cm from the edge.

    Glue the body to the tracks.

    To make a head, we twist a washer from 8 strips 1.5 cm wide - the base. Glue the washer to the body, cover the top with a circle of colored cardboard. Glue the tower itself onto the base; twist a washer of 5 strips corrugated cardboard width 1.5 cm. Lightly squeeze out the finished washer.

    4. Twist the cannon. To do this, we wind up cardboard for pencil, glue it together, remove the pencil. We glue the launcher to the head with a glue gun

    5. Decorate tank fuel tank and stars.

    the craft is ready!
