    Hello, friends.

    Last year, I made a classic pleated skirt for my niece. In the process, it turned out that she liked ties as an addition to her school uniform.

    I wanted to please the student not only with a skirt and sew a distinctive one.

    On a note: The construction from the MK video will help you make cuttings not only for a child. The base is perfect for cutting men's or women's ties. It is enough to increase the values.

    The skirt and tie are made from suiting fabric, the base of which is wool fiber. It was a pleasure to work with such material.

    A few facts about a tie

    Tie pattern for a schoolboy

    In my case, almost all the material “went” to . There was a small piece left from which the tie was sewn.

    I created the pattern based on the ties of my son and husband, and also based on the interests of the little customer.

    I had to deviate a little from classic sewing and cutting. What won't you do for the joy of your loved ones?

    Note: Due to the lack of main fabric, I assembled the tie in three parts. You can cut out one whole piece from the base material. Or assemble a tie from 2 parts. Look for the option that best suits your conditions.

    I cut it straight and sewed the tie from two parts.

    Important. I duplicated the top of the main wool part with a part made of lining fabric. This method is radically different from classic sewing.

    The second, narrow piece is completely lined.

    In the process, I added two pieces to decorate and secure in the loop of the narrow end of the tie. I wanted to do "for real" Beautiful.

    Sewing a tie

    IMPORTANT! Before stitching, do not forget to insert a loop of lining fabric, retreating 10-12 cm from the bottom.

    Assembling a tie

    To assemble the tie, I fold the sections inward along the short edge of the main part and iron them.

    I do the same with the tip.

    I assemble the tie by placing the second piece inside the main piece along the short edge and inside the tip, stitching on top. The width of the two parts must match.

    I lay out the loop on both sides of the tie, iron it and carefully sew it with hidden stitches. I tie a knot.

    The tie is ready. Together with the skirt it turned out to be a great set. You can add different models of blouses, shirts and look new every time, even in school uniform.

    Making a kanzashi tie is not that difficult. It will be a great addition to your school uniform. Depending on the design and materials used, the accessory is suitable for both girls and boys at school on special occasions. You can make a tie in several versions, differing in technology and required accessories.

    Lace kanzashi - manufacturing algorithm

    One of the most beautiful options is a tie made from ribbons decorated with lace, rhinestones, beads and other stylish accessories.

    It’s easy to make it without a pattern with your own hands at home. To make the product you will need:

    • satin ribbons of contrasting colors (width up to 4 cm);
    • white or black lace;
    • threads, needles, scissors and other craftsman's tools.

    They start by preparing the tapes. To do this, cut off exactly enough from one so that the length of the workpiece is no more than 22 cm, the next four ribbons are cut into 20 cm, one - 15 cm, two - 10 cm, one - 7 cm. The colors alternate.

    The longest tape is folded in half and secured in the edge fold area using a regular glue gun. Do the same with ribbons 20 cm long and one with a length of 15 cm. As a result, you should get six blanks for the next brooch tie.

    At the next stage, prepared lace is glued around the perimeter of the largest piece. The same is done with the smallest workpiece. The edges of the 10 cm tapes are glued together.

    If everything was done correctly, in the end one 7 cm ribbon should remain unused. A tiny tie is made from it, cutting the edges towards the center at a slight angle. Just like the rest of the blanks, lace is glued onto its surface.

    The finished tie for a girl or boy is assembled. Start to the basics. To do this, fittings are sewn to a large blank. The smallest piece should be at the top. The final step will be to attach a decorative element in the center - a large button or brooch.

    Master classes on making ties from grosgrain ribbons

    To make ties with grosgrain ribbon you will need the following set of accessories and tools:

    • grosgrain ribbons in black and light colors with a width of 1 and 0.9 cm, respectively;
    • decorative elements;
    • hot glue;
    • needle and thread;
    • scissors;
    • lighter;
    • ruler.

    The process begins by cutting the ribbons and obligatory processing of the ends with a lighter. Next, glue the edges with glue. Light ribbons are connected to dark ones of the same length, dark ones are combined with the resulting cross until a bow is formed.

    Strips of 6 cm, pre-cut at an angle, are glued to the inside of the main element. The decor is fixed onto a new blank with small holes. The last ribbon is decorated with metal fittings and attached from the inside out.

    Festive tie-brooch

    Despite the restrained tones, a brooch-tie made of grosgrain ribbons and lace is ideal for school uniforms, both casual and festive. To make it you will need:

    • ribbons of two colors with a width of 4 and 3 cm;
    • lace of any color;
    • cabochon and blank for a metal tie.

    The ribbons are cut in this way: two dark 4 cm long, 32 cm long, one dark 30 cm long, two light 20 cm long. The lace strips are prepared in the same way - there should be three 4 cm long ribbons. The blanks are sewn together.

    Ties are sewn for school, starting with a bow made of light ribbons, on which a dark one and another light one made of ribbon 2.5 cm wide are placed. The blank is attached to the base.

    The next stage is a tie. The dark element is folded in half, the ends are treated with fire. The next layer of material is placed on top, secured with hot glue.

    A metal clasp is attached to the center of the tie (from the inside) and decorated with prepared decorative elements.

    Frill tie - how to make using kanzashi technology

    Even the simplest school uniform will sparkle with new colors if you decorate it with a homemade frill-style tie. Just as in previous cases, you will need ribbons, thread and needle, scissors, hot glue, and a lighter. To make the product elegant and harmonious, it is better to use ribbons of contrasting colors.

    A dark ribbon will be needed for the round petals; the bow is made from lighter ones. Using the kanzashi technique, two bows are sewn together from a 20 cm ribbon and 18 cm pieces. The elements are not only sewn together, but also additionally secured with a glue gun.

    Pictures of young ladies in these cute ties have been haunting me on the Internet for months now, and a few months ago I... Today I present to you a tutorial on how to make your own girlish tie.

    So, in order to sew your own girlish tie, we will need:

    A piece of fabric, preferably natural, approximately 50x50 in size (I used a sleeve from a large men's shirt),
    - matching thread and needle,
    - a small beautiful button,
    - (optional) if you have thin fabric, you may need adhesive interlining, which is glued with an iron
    - a Chinese stick/brush/knitting needle for turning the tie,
    - nail scissors to cut a buttonhole.

    1. The tie consists of 4 identical parts - strips approximately 32-25 centimeters long, 2.5 centimeters at the narrow end and 6 at the wide end. The pattern looks something like this. You should try to cut the parts so as to match the pattern, but this is not necessary.

    2. Place the pieces facing each other and sew a short seam to create two long pieces. Do you see where the pins are in the photo?
    I sewed everything on a machine, but you can just as easily do it by hand with a simple stitch.

    3. Place these two long pieces face-on (so that the inside of the seam is facing you on both sides), pin along the perimeter, marking a piece (4-5 centimeters) that you will leave open so that you can then turn out the almost finished tie. The seam allowance (the space from the edge to the stitch) should be left very small, approximately 5 mm.

    4. Cut corners from front to turn inside out neatly.

    5. Carefully turn right side out through the hole left. I usually use a chopstick or a wooden brush tip for this.

    6. Iron the tie. Just a little left!

    7. Sew up the hole through which you turned it inside out using small stitches over the edge.

    8. Mark on both sides where the button and buttonhole will be.

    9. Sew a button. Mark the other end of the tie with pins on both sides and carefully cut a buttonhole with nail scissors. Carefully stitch around the edge (I was lucky, my machine makes buttonholes, so the whole process of making the tie took about 20 minutes).

    (this is a test version of the button, in the end I decided to sew on a larger one)

    We wear it with pleasure with shirts, shirt dresses, cardigans and polo shirts.
