    Useful tips

Whether you are passionate about the art of origami or have just become acquainted with it, you will love this master class on making a paper hand.

This hand looks not only interesting and funny, but for some it may even be scary.

You can use this paper toy for different purposes - as a toy, just as a DIY project, or as an addition to a gift for a friend.

Assembling a paper hand is not very difficult.

    paper hand

    1. Prepare a square sheet of paper. The thinner the paper, the better, because... it will be easier to bend.

    2. Bend the paper square diagonally to form a triangle. Now bend along the other diagonal.

    3. Unfold the workpiece and bend it lengthwise and then crosswise.

    4. Make a double triangle using pre-prepared folds (see video).

Straighten the edges of the triangle and fold it in half. (It looks like the base of a paper water bomb)

    5. Now fold the corners to the right.

    6. Bend the corners to the right again and straighten (go back 1 step).

    * If you bend the corners to the left, you will begin to make a left hand.

Now you need to make an accordion from the triangle. To ensure it is even, follow the following instructions.

    7. Bend the top corner to the opposite edge. Straighten it - you have a fold going down the middle of the triangle.

    8. Bend the same end to the fold in the middle.

    9. Also bend the opposite side towards the fold line.

    10. Bend the edge of the bent opposite part towards the top.

    11. Bend the corner on the other side as well, but downwards.

    12. Turn the figure over.

    13. Now you need to bend the edge where the vertex of the triangle is to the middle of the figure.

    14. Repeat the same technique for the opposite edge.

You should end up with a triangular accordion.

    15. Unfold the entire shape so that you have a triangle again (check the side if there are 4 ends).

    16. Bend the bottom corner up. You can use the uppermost vertical fold line as a guide.

    17. Start making the harmonica again. The fold lines are already there, so it will be easy.

    18. The ends now need to be pulled apart. There will be five of them - each end is a separate finger of your paper hand.

We can say that the most difficult path has been passed. Next comes the final stage, in which you will give the figure a more realistic look.

    * You can make claws by slightly bending the tips of the finished paper fingers.

    19. Adding volume to the fingers. To do this, you can start by bending each limb of the paper arm in half. Bend the end of your thumb inward, and then bend your finger in half.

    20. Start making joints for each finger.

    Paper hand (video tutorial)

Here is another video tutorial on how to make a paper skeleton hand.

How to make a paper hand. 3 more options.

    Option 1

This paper hand was created by Peter Callesen (Danish architect). He uses only paper, glue and scissors, and creates interesting figures from them, which can safely be called works of art. For this work, he cut out a palm from paper, and then created a brush from pieces of glued paper.

    Option 2

This paper hand is very easy to make. Take a careful look at the picture and you will understand everything. You just need to cut out all the elements of the paper hand (palm, parts of the fingers), and then connect them using glue, tape or thread.

    Option 3

Here's how to make a paper hand from folded pieces of newspaper, cardboard, glue and a little papier-mâché.

You can use your own hand to make newspaper tubes of the desired diameter and length.

Cut out a palm from cardboard and glue newspaper “fingers” to it.

Bend the fingers of the paper hand slightly to give them a more realistic look. You can use glue to secure the folds.

Today we will make a hand, which in the future you can use for different purposes: as a keychain, as a toy for a cat, as a decoration for the interior of a room (for example, attach it to the wall and let it scare everyone). Or you can hang it on the mirror in your car, hang it around your neck, and even scare your friends and other acquaintances with it. That is, you can somehow find its use.

(consider an example of creating a skeleton hand - crafts from Jeremy Schafer). First, a short instruction, and then a video. Or if you are too lazy to read the instructions, you can start watching the video. Although it’s still better to read it, especially the first paragraph. Using this method, a paper hand is made quite simply and therefore everything should work out for you.

    1. You will need a square sheet of paper. It is advisable to use paper that is not particularly thick, otherwise it will be difficult. The thinner it is, the easier it is to bend. The best option is to use medium-weight paper. Creating a craft will require an average of 10 minutes of your time.

    2. Bend the square sheet diagonally. You should get a triangle.

    3. Bend the bottom corner towards the top.

    4. Then turn the figure over.

    5. Fold the bottom corner (which is opposite to the corner bent in point 3) towards the top.

    6. Move the figure apart from the middle of the figure using a gesture.

    7. You should get a double triangle. Straighten its edges and fold the figure in half.

    8. Repeat the steps from point 7.

    9. Turn the figure over so that the acute angle is looking at you.

    10. Wrap the acute corner to the base of the other two corners.

    11. Bend the acute corner and fold it again along the line formed after the 10th point.

    12. Fold the base of the triangle to the same line (from point 10).

    13. Fold the folded top corner to the top.

    14. Also bend the base of the triangle to the bottom vertex.

    15. Then turn the figure over.

    16. Bend the top of the acute angle to the middle of the triangle.

    17. Do the same for the bottom edge.

    18. Then expand the figure.

    19. Bend the top corner to the base along with the entire side.

    20. Expand the triangle.

    21. Bend one of the lower corners to the other. The bend line should not reach the middle of the triangle.

    22. Next, fold the side of the folded corner back. Now you can start “pulling out” all sides. You should have a hand with 5 fingers. At this stage, the hardest part is over. The following steps will help complete our figure.

    23. In order to give the figure a more impressive look, you need to bend the tips of the paper fingers a little. This will create the appearance of claws.

    24. To make your fingers look voluminous, you need to bend each of them at the sides.

    25. If you want to bend several fingers or one finger, then you need to straighten their sides before bending. If you bend your fingers in several places, the hand will have a stunning contour.

    26. Adjust the folds on your arm to your liking.

    27. Now the terrible paper skeleton hand is ready.

As you can see, everything is quite simple and you don’t need any glue, tape, or scissors. All you need is suitable paper, a little time and knowledge of how to make this craft.

How to make a hand out of paper (two more examples):

    1. Peter Callesen (Danish architect) uses only paper, glue and scissors in his works. He creates various works of art from paper. The following picture of a paper hand is his work. He cuts out a palm from a piece of paper, and a skeleton hand is created from fragments of glued paper. You can try it too.

    2. You can also create the hand shown in the picture below by cutting out the corresponding elements of the hand - the palm, parts of the fingers, and then connecting all the parts (for example, using glue, tape, thread).

Try making a hand out of paper and you will definitely succeed! Good luck!

Hello friends! At the end of October, many countries around the world celebrate Halloween- a holiday with rich traditions and mystical roots. And although in Russia the attitude towards this holiday is very ambiguous, in recent years it has become increasingly popular among the younger generations of Russians. After all, Halloween is a great reason to have fun, joke, slightly scare each other and, of course, make fun crafts for the holiday with your own hands. :)

And today, Ekaterina Shkodovskaya and I invite all lovers of Halloween fun to make one of these crafts - a movable skeleton made of paper using the quilling technique. The thing is simple, even a child can handle it (unless adult help is needed when connecting individual “bones” of the skeleton), and we hope that the process of creating it will be interesting.

    Materials and tools:

    white quilling paper,

    quilling tool, ruler,

    PVA glue,

    metal rings of small diameter.

In order for our paper skeleton to be movable, we will connect all its “bones” together with small metal rings. Such rings are usually used to create jewelry. But first they need to be prepared, that is, opened with scissors (we put the ring on the closed blades of the scissors and open it).

If there are no ready-made rings, you can make them yourself from thin and fairly soft wire. For all the “joints” and articulations of the paper skeleton, as well as for the hanging chain, you will need about 40 of these rings.

Let's start preparing the skeleton parts with manufacturing skulls. To do this, we wind a tight roll of strips of white quilling paper. The number of stripes is approximately 15-18 pieces.

Having reached the desired diameter of the skull, you need to take the open metal ring, apply it to the skull and pass a paper strip through it.

Symmetrically to this ring, on the opposite side of the skull, we attach the second ring in exactly the same way. We make a few more turns for strength.

Let's slightly adjust the shape of the skull to bring it slightly closer to reality =). And then we make the neck. We wind a small tight roll and also attach two rings on the sides - one opposite the other.

Let's start production shoulder bones. To do this, we make several tight turns of a paper strip around the ruler, having previously lubricated its tip with glue.

We remove the workpiece from the ruler, glue it inside and continue wrapping it with a strip until it runs out. Glue the tip.

After this, you need to attach 3 rings to the resulting part - 2 for the arms and 1 for connecting to the neck. The fastening method is exactly the same as in previous cases: we take another strip and wrap it around the part, inserting rings, as shown in the photo. It is necessary to make several turns for strength.

Let's make an additional small roll with one ring to connect the shoulders and ribs. Glue it to the shoulder piece.

Now we will do skeleton hands. And we will use the following method for this: we wrap a strip of paper, for example, around a pencil, to make a ring.

In total, you need to make 4 such blanks, as well as 2 small tight rolls that will be performed with your hands.

We coat the paper rings inside with glue and flatten them (the same way as we did with the shoulders). We will attach 2 metal rings to each of the resulting “bones” of the paper skeleton. And for the rolls symbolizing the hands - 1 ring. Like this:

Ribs. We make them in exactly the same way as the shoulders, wrapping a paper strip around a ruler. Only we will insert only 2 rings and not at the edges, but in the middle.

We bend the ribs a little, giving them a more “anatomical” shape.

Taz. For the pelvic bones we use a tight roll larger than the skull. To connect to the legs, you need to secure 2 rings (as shown in the photo).

In addition, we will glue a small roll with 1 ring to the large roll. With its help, the pelvis will be attached to the ribs of the skeleton.

Legs we do it on the same principle as the hands, with the only difference that the “bones” should be longer (accordingly, the paper rings need to be wound with a larger diameter), and for the feet, instead of rolls, it is necessary to make 2 tight “drop” elements.

Once all the “bones” of the paper skeleton are ready, you can proceed to the final and most interesting stage - assembly. That is, we simply connect the corresponding rings to each other.

The most difficult thing in this process is connecting the rings between the ribs. I recommend using tweezers or small pliers.

So, we collected all the limbs, connected all the parts of the skeleton to each other, and this is what came out:

All that remains is to finish drawing the eye sockets and mouth with a black felt-tip pen or marker.

The paper skeleton turned out not scary at all :). But such a goal was not pursued. But it may well take its place among the Halloween decorations. If desired, it can be used as a fun pendant in the car.

To increase the durability of the skeleton, I advise you to cover it with a layer of varnish. If there is no varnish, you can cover it with a layer of PVA glue, let it dry thoroughly and spray it with hairspray.

    Fun creativity!)

Any holiday is an excellent occasion to transform your room, fill it with an unusual atmosphere with the help of original decoration items.

Many people's favorite holiday, Halloween, is approaching, which means it's time to think about how to decorate your room in an unusual and interesting way to surprise your friends and family, as well as please your loved ones.

In this article, the News Portal “site” has prepared for you several interesting and original ideas on how to easily and simply, and most importantly not expensively, decorate your room for the approaching nightmare night, Halloween!

    Paper skeleton

How to make a paper skeleton with your own hands?

And the first element of decorating your room can be a cheerful and funny skeleton!

To make it you will need black thread or a thin black elastic band, straws (cocktail tube or empty pen refill), white paper and a black marker.

On white paper, draw a skeleton: head, body, arms and legs. Then use a black marker to draw in the details.

If you are not an important artist, you can use ready-made stencils.

Now all the parts need to be cut out.

On the back side of the body, glue two tubes with double-sided or regular tape; it is to them that the arms and legs of the future skeleton will be attached.

Thread elastic bands into the tubes, the ends of which are glued to the arms and legs with tape.

This design will make your skeleton “alive”, because any breath of even a slight draft will set it in motion.

    DIY spider web

How to make a web from threads with your own hands?

For a homemade web you will need: 3 dry branches and threads.

First you need to fix the branches together. Arrange the branches crosswise, and then use a thread to tie them in the center.

Now you can start weaving the web (see photo).

To make the craft look lively and interesting, we recommend making a small funny spider, and then placing it on a homemade web.

This interior decoration element will look great in the corners of the room, wall or cabinets.

    Bringing with your own hands

How to make a ghost with your own hands?

What would Halloween be without a ghost? And that is why at least one ghost is simply obliged to live in your room!

To make such a spectacular room decoration object you will need: white threads, a metal hanger and black adhesive paper.

The hanger must be bent (see photo) and then white threads must be tied to it. The more threads you tie, the more voluminous your homemade ghost will look.

Cut out eyes and a mouth from adhesive black paper and glue to the threads.

This craft will look especially cool on the porch of a private house or on a window with the window open. Any breath of breeze will set the homemade propulsion in motion and will look very intimidating.

How to make a ghost out of paper?

If you don’t have a hanger and a lot of thread, then the ghost can be made from plain white paper.

Roll up neat balls from white paper. Wrap the tip of the bag in a bagel.

Surely everyone has a couple of black clothes hangers in their wardrobe. They will become the basis for creating bats to decorate the room.

From black construction paper, cut out the silhouette of wings, as well as a round muzzle and ears.

Glue all paper parts to the hanger with double-sided tape.

The eyes and nose can be made from buttons.

These bats will be a wonderful decoration for a chandelier, cornice or bookshelves.
