The product is knitted in one piece; the threads should be knitted - they stretch well and are considered wear-resistant. Shorts with white inserts will go well with the swimsuit bodice, and the fine texture of the yarn will provide ventilation to the skin.
The work begins like this:
We measure the waist circumference.
We knit a chain of air loops, the length of which is equal to the measured parameter plus 2 cm.
We close the chain with a connecting post.
The work will go in a circle, we can choose any pattern.
We knit until the fabric completely covers the buttocks.
From any point on the edge we knit 15 air loops and attach them symmetrically to the opposite edge. We now have two holes from which we will form the trouser legs.
Raise the row with three chain stitches and continue knitting the same pattern that was used for the top.
When the first leg is finished, do the second one in the same way.
Take a thread of a different color, attach it to the top edge and knit a belt.

How to knit shorts for beginners
Shorts with knitting needles, patterns and descriptions of which readers will find here, begin to knit from the bottom. First we do the front. Each pant leg is knitted separately. The required number of loops is determined as follows: take ¼ of the hip circumference, and add 11 loops to this value to knit the gusset.
An important point is that the first row should be free, there is no need to tighten the loops. To add fluffiness to this row, you can knit it in two threads or then additionally crochet it.
The gusset for each trouser leg is knitted entirely, then both parts are assembled into a single structure. As you work, 11 gusset loops will go away.
About 12 cm is knitted in a straight line, after which decreases begin in each row: 3, 3, 2, 1, 1. When both legs are knitted, they are strung on one knitting needle. Ideally, the pattern repeats should match. The front of the shorts will be solid, the vertical seam will be on the side.
Let's start knitting the back of the product. As with the front, each leg is knitted separately, but here you need to add 18 stitches to ¼ of the hip volume to knit the gusset. The work is done in exactly the same way, only the decrease pattern is slightly different: 5, 4, 2, 2, 2, 1, 1, 1. The height of the front and back parts should be the same. The work ends with an auxiliary thread.
Now all the parts need to be strung on circular knitting needles. We will knit a belt, which we will make with an elastic band. At the bend of the belt, you need to knit 1 row with facial loops, and then continue again with an elastic band. The folded edge is sewn from the inside out, and a regular elastic band is threaded into the resulting drawstring.
