Christian, being at that time a fairly well-known fashion designer who worked at the Lucien Lelong Fashion House, opened his own perfume laboratory in 1942. According to his idea, this smell was supposed to permeate the entire mansion on Montaigne Avenue and beyond. Even the street leading to it should have been fragrant. Each guest was forcibly sprayed with perfume upon entry. At least a liter was spent on everything. But after February 12, people started talking about “Miss Dior” loudly. And this was exactly what the fashion designer himself expected. You didn't have to like the perfume, the main thing was that everyone in the city started talking about it.
Not all the ladies liked him. But after just a short time, his popularity was almost limitless. He is called a legend of two centuries, the twentieth and twenty-first.
The name did not appear immediately. There were many options offered, but none suited me. And a random exclamation addressed to his sister: “Oh! Miss Dior! ”, turned out to be that very find.
For about half a century, this fragrance remained invariably in demand; it began to be called a classic, although the shape of the bottle sometimes underwent changes. At first it was an ancient Greek amphora, reminiscent of a female body in outline, manufactured specifically for this purpose at the famous Baccarat factory. Then it was replaced by a rectangle with a beautiful silk bow, representing Hot Couture.
By re-releasing it in 1992, they hoped to make a splash, like 45 years ago. Hopes were not justified.
But time passed. For the new generation, the Dior girl was no longer an ideal, and the development became something like a thing from a grandmother’s chest. But the variation of perfume released by the company in 2005 was liked by young girls.
Curious facts about the famous brand
In the first year alone, a little less than three hundred bottles with the coveted aroma were produced - graceful amphoras, similar to ancient Greek ones, made of glass in the colors of the French flag. Any of them is like a true work of art. And many considered them as such.
Such a wonderful idea about creating such a fragrance came to Christian’s childhood friend, Serge Eftle-Louis.
In fact, the official “fathers” of this composition are Jean Carl and Paul Vache. Karl is the best among the masters of Roure-Givaudan, which was engaged in the development of a wide variety of aromas and perfume bases, the true composition of which no one was supposed to know, they were classified. But the compositions themselves were sold quite willingly. Yours turned out to be the one who built the famous fragrance based on this base. And Christian Dior is the author of the main concept of the legendary fragrance.

Moreover, testing the perfume on many women he knew: fashion models, relatives and even cleaning ladies, Christian Dior received mostly negative reviews. However, the designer insisted on his own - the fragrance went into series, and now it has been one of the most popular for 70 years (in 2017). How he got people to try new Miss Dior? Oh, this is a separate, quite funny story. At his first show, Christian Dior installed female models at the entrance who forcibly sprayed everyone who came. the scent of Miss Dior! However, the scent of the late 20th century is now extremely rare, and it cannot be guaranteed that perfumes were produced with different inscriptions at the same time for different markets.

Despite the apparent simplicity of the formula (the stated composition contains only three ingredients: bitter orange - gardenia - musk), the composition turned out to be very original and gained many fans. The bottle is distinguished by the word “L`Eau” in the name and the greenish liquid:

In 2010, Francois Demachy reissues a version of eau de toilette -
significantly increasing the floral-fruity component, as well as adding gourmand notes. The bottle, while maintaining the general style, changes slightly, the inscription “Eau de toilette” is now located higher, immediately below the inscription “Miss Dior Cherie” on the “label”:

In 2011 it was republished. Strawberry appears in the initial notes, and the base is now more sensual and complex. The bottle becomes more modern, and the inscription on it is much smaller:

A separate Miss Dior line includes fragrances with the phrase “ Blooming Bouquet" Pay even closer attention to the names of the fragrances: they can be very similar, and differ, for example, only in the presence or absence of the word “CHERIE”. But this is a significant difference! The recipes for such fragrances vary. So, Miss Dior, what are the “Blooming Bouquet” variations?
So, 2008, among other things, is marked by the release of another variation on the Miss Dior Cherie theme - a fresh and even lighter version appears (the word Cherie is present). The version was developed for the Asian market, and the popcorn and cherries were removed from the recipe. Floral notes became dominant:

Despite the fact that the fragrance was intended exclusively for the Asian market, fans of the fragrance were able to obtain it in other countries. Dior was literally inundated with letters asking to release Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet for Europe, and in 2011 the brand launched a modified, let’s say, Europeanized perfume with the same name. Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet(the name matches completely, the word Cherie is still present). Europe added rose and patchouli to the recipe, which were not present in the Asian version:

To be honest, I have never held the Asian Miss Dior Cherie Blooming Bouquet 2008 in my hands, and from the photo it is quite difficult to indicate the differences in the bottles. This version is very elegant, velvety and soft, which Francois Demanchy achieved by surrounding the pink-peony heart with apricot peel and peach aromas. The bottle resembles the “Couture Edition”, but has a dark bow at the “neck”:

Miss Dior Le Parfum - Miss Dior Le Parfum Edition d'Exception. This variation has the inscription "Le Parfum" on the bottle, like the previous version, but is decorated with a different bow (see photo), as well as Francois Demachy slightly changed the recipe, replacing Bulgarian and Turkish roses in the heart of the composition with Damask roses. Did this change the composition? In Paris, opinions were divided, but in Russia it is now almost impossible to find this variation.

2014 was marked by the appearance of the Dior Les Extraits collection - a reissue of five popular Dior fragrances in perfume extract concentration. Francois Demachy reimagined Poison, Diorissimo, J'adore, Miss Dior and Miss Dior Original. The final two scents on the list interest us.
First of all, not only the concentration has been changed - it has become almost maximum - the recipes have also been changed. Miss Dior Extrait de Parfum(absolutes of orange blossom, Egyptian jasmine, May rose and Indonesian patchouli) and is completely presented as an “alter ego” of the original. It's easy to guess what the second scent is called (patchouli, galbanum, oakmoss, May rose and jasmine sambac absolutes).
For all the fragrances in the collection, exclusively natural, high-quality ingredients were used.In order not to get confused, it is important to know two points: firstly, the expensive bottles of the collection, although made in the style of the originals, do not completely replicate them.
