Kylie Jenner lipsticks are currently at the peak of popularity and I couldn’t pass by without buying one of them to try. But at the same time, before purchasing, I came across fakes a couple of times and therefore I want to not only tell you whether the lipstick (and the pencil from the set) is good, but also give some tips on recognizing a fake.

I decided to buy this lipstick (more precisely, a set, but the main thing in it is the lipstick) succumbing to the influence of everyone's admiration for her (and Kylie Jenner...). But now I understand that her popularity is not due to super-quality, but to good PR and a role model for many girls (at least American ones, but our girls immediately pick up this fashion).
Since sets are often sold out, in Russia they are even more difficult to obtain than in the West, and due to delivery and the need for an intermediary, its cost increases and... the set becomes even more desirable. But at the same time, both sets and lipsticks separately have already become adept at counterfeiting in China, and therefore there is a high risk of running into a fake. At the end of the post I will tell you how to reduce the likelihood of this happening.
So, the packaging of the set is - for me - beautiful and interesting. The lips immediately attract attention, grills make them even more interesting, and the succinctly written name completes everything.
The lipstick and pencil are separated from each other by a partition and do not dangle in the package.
About the pencil:
The pencil looks stylish, I really like the silver lettering, it looks similar to MAC pencils (black outside and inside, the color of the bottom matches the color of the pencil), but the quality is not up to par. Soft, easy to apply on lips, but does not lie quite smoothly. Because of its softness, it will be used up quickly and you will have to use the lipstick (looking ahead, I will say that it is quite economical) with another pencil.
They suggest applying the pencil over the entire surface of the lips to obtain a more durable coating (and this is true, I apply all lipsticks, not just matte ones, on a pencil base for greater durability.
The color of the pencil is slightly different from the lipstick - it is a little more red (and for me this is a minus).
I will not use the pencil separately, only in tandem with lipstick, but even then not often. I like the way the lipstick sits on top of a pinker liner.
About lipstick:
The packaging is both cute (due to the font and “smudges”) and stylish (because only 2 colors are used - black and the color of the lipstick inside it)
I expected perfect results from this lipstick, but my expectations were not entirely met.
The texture of the lipstick is very similar to Cailyn matte tints - liquid, but not watery. The sponge is small but convenient.
The smell is simply amazing! This is a real cream soda. The smell disappears after application, but is felt later when, for example, drinking water :)
The color is on some people a light muted pink, on others (including me) it is a warm, slightly reddish pink.
The lipstick is easy to apply and dries completely in a couple of minutes. This is where its shortcomings are revealed. The matte finish is clay-like, and the texture of the lips is very emphasized. And if the same Cailyn emphasizes the folds beautifully, then Kylie does it much more harshly. But the worst is yet to come.
The lipstick feels similar to Sleek on the lips.
The staying power of the lipstick is average, it will survive water, but no more. When the lipstick wears off in the center of the lips, it can be easily touched up. And partial layering will not be noticeable.
It is very difficult to wash off lipstick with micellar water; you need to use richer textures.
And the next day after using the lipstick, expect a surprise in the form of very flaky lips (although mine are not at all prone to this, they don’t even react like that to using other matte liquid lipsticks for several days in a row).
This is precisely the main drawback of the set, in particular of the lipstick. Of course, I understand that liquid matte lipsticks tend to dry out the lips, but this is the only one of my many similar lipsticks that has such an unpleasant property.

Verdict - both the lipstick and the pencil are quite mediocre and it’s not worth chasing after them, given that there are more accessible and cheaper analogues. But lipstick also has a significant drawback.
