    Handicraft websites are often full of knitted furniture for Barbie, but the description leaves much to be desired. This master class shows in detail knitted furniture for dolls with a description of the work and step-by-step photos.

    What is needed for a knitted sofa:

    • skein of thread;
    • piece of fabric 20*7 cm;
    • foam rubber 19*6*6 cm;
    • hook,
    • needle,
    • sewing threads to match the knitting threads.

    Making a knitted sofa:

    We select the length of the foam rubber air loops with knitting threads. In our product there are 47 loops;

    We knit a flat fabric in single crochet columns 13 cm in height (our product has 24 columns);

    We sew the fabric to a knitted piece of fabric and cover it with foam rubber.

    We collect 13 loops on each side and tie the foam rubber on the sides.

    The next step is making the back of the sofa and armrests. In a semicircle, as in the photo, we cast on loops in this way (13 loops on the sides, 47 chain loops (this will be the back) and another 13 loops on the other side). We knit 24 single crochets and fasten the last loop.

    On the inside of the back, on the 1st row from the bottom, we cast on 73 loops and knit 4 rows of double crochets, attach them to the base of the sofa and then knit 12 rows of single crochets. Connect with the second layer. In the process of joining the two parts, it is necessary to fill it evenly with padding polyester or other lightweight material.

    Sew evenly along the back of the sofa in 3 places, thereby decorating the sofa.

    2nd row: knit in both half loops. 1 ch, 1 tbsp. without nac. in the first 9 stitches, ch 1, skip next. p., knit 1 tbsp in the back half loops. without nac. next 5 sts., ch 1, skip next. p., knit 1 tbsp in both half-loops. without nac. next 9 sts., ch 1, skip next. p., 1 tbsp. without nac. next 5 tbsp, turn.

    3rd row: knit in both half loops. 1 ch, 1 tbsp. without nac. in the first 5 stitches, ch 1, skip next. p., 1 tbsp. without nac. next 9 sts., ch 1, skip next. p., knit 1 tbsp in the back half loops. without nac. next 5 sts., ch 1, skip next. p., knit 1 tbsp in both half-loops. without nac. next 9 tbsp. to turn.

    Rows 4-14: repeat rows 2-3 alternately. Break the thread.

    Sidewalls of the base.

    1st row: work is carried out in the left half loops of the initial chain in 5 sts of the front part of the base. (see knitting pattern). Attach the thread using st. without nac. in the first st. after the missing p., 1 tbsp. without nac. next Art., turn.

    2-9 row: 1 vp, 1 st. without nac. in each st., turn. When finished, break the thread.

    The second side is knitted in st. 36 rows. Repeat rows 1-9 of the first side panel.

    Cut 1" thick foam rubber into two pieces measuring 3" x 3 1/2"

    Sew the base according to the pattern ris2.jpg. Insert one of the resulting pieces inside.

    Back

    Start knitting with a chain of 25 vp.

    2-82 row: work is carried out in the rear half-loops. 1 vp, 1 tbsp. without nac. in each st., turn. When finished, break the thread.

    Pillow

    Start knitting with a loose chain of 22 vp, closed in a ring. The chain should have a long tail.

    Row 1 (circular): ch 1, st. without nac. in the first paragraph, 1 tbsp. without nac. in each stitch, close the row into a ring in the first stitch, turn. (22)

    Rows 2-16 (circular): work is done in the rear half loops. 1 vp, 1 tbsp. without nac. in each st., turn. When finished, break the thread, leaving a long tail.

    Cut a piece of 1/2" thick foam rubber into two pieces measuring 3" x 3 1/2". Insert the foam rubber into the pillows and sew up the open ends with long tails.

    End of work.

    Wrap the back around the base so that at the front corners of the base (see Fig. 3) there are back ribs formed by the front half-loops of the row. Sew the back to the base along the perimeter of the base as shown in the picture. Fold the back pieces left at the front back and sew the first and last rows of the back together.

    Sew up the top and bottom of the back. Unscrew the top corners of the backrest by 1/2" (1.3 cm), unscrew it again. Secure them in this position. After that, unscrew the top part of the backrest about 1" (2.5 cm) and secure it in this position.

    Put down pillows.
