The skirt for a 6 year old girl (height 125) consists of 3 layers.
- 1st layer: top 1.5 m * 15 cm of crepe-satin (as a result, I think it was necessary to make it longer, 20 centimeters, otherwise a lot was bent by the elastic), middle 4 m * 11 cm, bottom 10 m * 11 cm. The ruffle for the lower tier is 20 m * 5 cm, the edges of the rolls are processed using an overlocker, gold Madeira thread was used on the upper looper, it is very good, easy to sew, our 1000 m spool costs 300 rubles, it took 2 spools in total. The ruffle is gathered in the middle and sewn at the bottom of the lower layer, approximately so that the edges of it and the layer coincide.
- Layer 2: top 2m*15cm, middle 4m*22cm, bottom 2 pieces each 8m*11cm, respectively 2 ruffles 16m*5cm, sew on each of the bottoms.
- 3rd layer is the same as the second.
We collect all 4 lower tiers with sewn ruffles together, gather the top edge and sew onto the 2 middle tiers layers 2 and 3, also folded together, so that all their lower edges coincide. Then we gather these two middle layers and sew them directly to the top 2 (2nd and 3rd together). The petticoat is ready.
Layer 1 (upper skirt), gather up the bottom tier (10-meter), sew to the middle tier. On top we add a ribbon of the color we need, mine is gold, covering the allowances, because... the mesh is transparent. We assemble the top of the middle tier and sew it to crepe satin. Seam allowances upwards.
We pull the upper skirt onto the lower one, placing folds on the lower one (it is 0.5 m wider), bend the top as standard for a drawstring under the elastic, mine is 3 cm wide. That's all.
The top is decorated with clever store-bought star rhinestones.
