Initially they offered us a sundress from the kindergarten bins, like it was in green tones. Well, well, it’s a pity I didn’t take it off.

The fabric is curtain type, the pattern is like oriental cucumbers, everything is gray-yellow-brown-greenish. Moreover, the length is up to the middle of the calf, it cannot be shortened. The width is the size of a water barrel, it could be wrapped around my madam more than twice. In general, something had to be done.

As a result, here is such a small suit - a top, a skirt, a cape for a skirt made of leaves and a hat.

The fabric is a slightly different color, the photo is distorted. And, sorry, I only saw in the photo that the skirt was wrinkled, sorry) and for some reason the photo “pulls out” some kind of stain, it’s not there in real life.

How many green threads did I use? I embroidered the veins on the leaves with a zig-zag and sewed the very edges of the leaves. When I came to the store to buy a third reel, the saleswoman asked, “I remember, they don’t often buy this color—why do you need so many?” I answered and thought about something - for cabbage. Then she really explained that I was sewing a cabbage costume, but she probably decided that I was a little crazy)).

The cape on the skirt is removable, and individual leaves are sewn onto the ribbon.

I made a hat from a child’s hat, glued individual leaves like a head of cabbage onto a hot gun (not my idea, I saw it online), the outer leaves with wire and fishing line - so that they would hold their shape a little.
