    Introduction

    Modern trends are such that today the clear line between facial cosmetics and decorative cosmetics for face care and decorative cosmetics is blurred and contains ingredients that are the basis of cosmetic preparations as components that provide care, nutrition, hydration and protection of our skin. In the formulation of makeup products, you can see hyaluronic acid, sunscreens, silicones, and vitamins. All this speaks of the high quality of modern cosmetic products designed to decorate our face.

    If we turn to history, then even before the famous recipes of Cleopatra, people actively used the gifts of nature as a means to improve them. appearance and attracting the attention of members of the opposite sex. But not everyone knows that the first wearers of makeup were men, not women. At first they were hunters who used dyes for camouflage during protection or attacks on animals, then only specially trained shamans who were the first makeup artists, since only they were given the right to decorate the bride for marriage rituals. Later, decorative cosmetics became popular as camouflage in warfare (which is still relevant today). And only then did women begin to use iris juice as blush, lead white as bleaching powder, green and black kohol for eyeliner, as well as cosmetic drugs own production made from dairy products, herbal infusions, powdered ground nuts and shells, vegetable oils, clay, etc.

    Of course, technological progress, the powerful development of the chemical, medical, perfumery and cosmetic industries have made such a huge step forward that today there is practically nothing in common with what people of past centuries had. But there remains an inexorable desire of all women to always look young, beautiful, desirable and attractive, regardless of age, time and location. And in this they receive great help and support from unique decorative cosmetics, the range of which is growing every day.

    Today there is no shortage of funds, today there is a problem of choice: what you need to have, as a rule, use it, how you should apply it.

    If a couple of decades ago in our country, women stood in lines for hours and bought any cosmetics, if only they got it: it didn’t matter whether it was suitable or not, today no one will be surprised by the abundance of goods on the shelves of cosmetic departments and stores. And if then it was enough to apply blue shadows beloved by all women and line the eyes with burning “arrows”, and there was one make-up for all occasions, then today's fashionistas manage to do two or three make-ups a day, focusing on the style of clothing, the place and time of the meeting, and make-up appointment.

    In modern make-up, every detail of the face must be drawn, which requires a large assortment of decorative cosmetics. Makeup products include foundation; masking agents; powder; blush; eyeshadow; mascara; lipsticks; lip pencils.

    The choice of cosmetics is made individually in accordance with the type of skin, taste inclinations, style of clothing and purpose of makeup. So, daytime makeup should be less saturated colors, muted and matte. In contrast, evening or formal makeup will be more active, bright and allow for various additional decorations: false eyelashes, glitter, rhinestones, etc. But in general, it is necessary to proceed from the individual characteristics of a person, taking into account all the nuances and details of his appearance.

    Tonalfunds

    Primer, makeup base, tone, base - all concepts refer to the same cosmetic product - foundation. Today, the role of tinting agents cannot be underestimated. Well and properly selected and applied primer gives the impression of flawless, smooth, even, evenly colored, healthy skin.

    The new generation of tonal products differ from the tonal foundations of previous years: they have a delicate, light texture, are invisible on the face, are easy to apply, do not clog pores, and do not give a sticky feeling. This is an indispensable base for make-up (make-up lasts much longer and lies more evenly). The bases perfectly prime the unevenness of the skin on the face, create a beautiful background for the overall color scheme of the make-up. Thus, tonal means create an impeccable base for make-up; mask skin imperfections; correct the oval of the face; are a transitional stage from facial skin care to the application of decorative cosmetics.

    They moisturize and nourish the skin of the face, as they contain ingredients that meet the requirements for facial skin care; protect the skin from the harmful effects of the external environment, as well as UV radiation.

    The tonal base is a multifunctional tool, the use of which does not impede the processes occurring in the skin, but, on the contrary, contributes to their flow.

    By consistency, the bases are liquid, creamy, compact, by texture - matte, satin, with shine, and by purpose they are divided into daytime, evening, for photo and video filming. The basics, differing in their purpose, also provide for the division by skin types.

    liquid tonal the foundation- the most common type of tonal products. Represents a daytime tone cream, liquid in consistency, light, matte in texture, with medium coverage and a small amount of coloring pigment. It is well applied and absorbed, leaving no greasy marks, but does not mask noticeable skin defects. Designed for all skin types except dry and uneven.

    Skimmed tonal the foundation(oil-free) can also be used as a daytime foundation, but contains more talc or powder and does not contain fatty substances. Ideal for combination and oily skin as it has a mattifying effect.

    Tonal mousse- an uncommon type of tonal product, since it practically does not mask or even out anything, but only emphasizes the tan or performs a protective function and is used as a makeup base. It is a tool similar to foam (mousse) for hair. It has a very light consistency, low masking ability. Suitable for all skin types except very dry, uneven and imperfections.

    Corrector often has the form of a compact powder or stick. Contains a high amount of coloring particles; perfectly masks imperfections on the face. The cream is dense in consistency, quite oily and forms a very thick opaque layer on the face. Ideal for photo and video shooting, evening make-up, for dry and uneven skin, but requires careful even application and removal of excess cream with paper napkins. Otherwise, the face will look untidy, and the makeup will seem “dirty” and careless.

    Cream powder(2 in 1 product) is a combination of foundation compact cream and compact powder. Apply with a wet or dry sponge immediately after moisturizing day cream without using foundation.

    Makeup- dense fatty mass, similar to theatrical make-up, is produced in the form of a "cake". In dry form, it acts as a powder, and in liquid form, it acts as a foundation with good coverage. It lays down a very dense layer, it is recommended for problem skin.

    masqueradingfunds

    Concealers are a type of cosmetic product that is a compact tinting agent with high coverage and is designed to thoroughly mask skin defects on the face, such as age spots, bruises under the eyes, acne marks, smallpox, all kinds of redness, scars and other skin imperfections. . Due to their more viscous and thicker consistency, they perfectly hide these imperfections and are indispensable helpers for creating an even skin tone.

    Concealers - ( concealers) come in a variety of shades and are used depending on the purpose.

    Concealers yellow color applied to areas of the face where the skin has a bluish tint, and are intended to mask bruises under the eyes, dark spots in the corners of the eyes, etc., lilac - to hide age spots, skin tone yellowish and brown.

    Green-colored concealers are designed for all kinds of redness on the face: burst capillary vessels, excessive blush, capillary hematoma, bruising.

    Ivory concealer is a great way to hide any dark circles in the eye area, darkened eyelids, deep and fine wrinkles, traces of acne and pimples.

    All these products, due to their color scheme, are also called neutralizing agents, since when certain shades are applied to each other, they lose their intensity and brightness, and defects on the face no longer look so terrible and are not striking.

    Powder

    Powder is one of the products that are very popular. Like foundation, powder is a versatile product. It fixes the underlying layer of primer (base); creates a matting effect; gives the skin healthy look; corrects the oval and details of the face and blends failed blush and shadow transitions.

    Powder is a homogeneous mixture of mineral and organic products, can be of plant and mineral origin. Vegetable powder contains starch. It does not irritate the skin and lays down well, but it has a small drawback - it quickly decomposes, unlike mineral powder. Mineral powder is made from white clay, zinc oxide and talc. High molecular weight alcohols (glycerin), lanolin and petroleum jelly are added to the powder for dry skin.

    According to the state of the particles, the powder is friable, compact, liquid, spherical.

    · crumbly powder more preferable than others, as it evenly falls on the face with a thin, transparent layer. This powder is used by all professional makeup artists, because it is suitable for all skin types and is easily distributed over the face. Loose powder is applied with a large round or flat brush.

    Compact powder convenient for maintaining and correcting makeup; especially recommended for those with combination or oily skin types. In this case, the powder is applied with a sponge on the t-zone (forehead, nose, chin) to eliminate oily sheen. But do not abuse the compact powder, so as not to create the effect of a "plastered" face.

    Liquid powder is a suspension of ordinary powder in a water-glycerin solution with minor additions of alcohol and fat-like components. Before use, the bottle with liquid powder should be shaken well so that the settled powder and the separate liquid form a homogeneous mass.

    · WarikovaI Pblow - multi-colored balls in one box. Such a powder was first produced by the Guerlain company, justifying its invention by the fact that our skin is also colored unevenly. White balls make the face open, fresh, voluminous. Yellow, on the contrary, attract color, pink - rejuvenate. Thus, the entire gamut of colors is distributed over the face with the smallest dust particles, and due to this, it seems to glow from the inside. This powder is applied with a brush.

    According to the color scheme, the powders are divided into light, dark and transparent. Colored powders are used to correct the oval of the face or its modeling. Light tones are applied to the protruding areas of the face: the forehead, the area under the outer corners of the eyes, the area under the bend of the eyebrow, the back of the nose, the central part of the chin. dark shades used on the peripheral part of the face to narrow it or make it more prominent: the area of \u200b\u200bthe temples, subzygomatic cavities, extra roundness of the cheeks are affected, double chin. Translucent powder - the most versatile - is used for any kind of makeup in order to make the face matte, velvety and well-groomed.

    Blush

    Blush is a type of decorative cosmetic product designed to create a face pattern. With their help, the morphology of the face is emphasized, the shape of the cheekbones, an oval is drawn. Without blush, the face would look lifeless, painful, flat and shapeless, so blush is given Special attention in makeup.

    Blush revitalizes and rejuvenates the face. With their help, you can correct irregular shapes and details of the face. The color scheme and shape of the blush set the overall tone and style of the entire make-up; they balance the make-up of the lips and eyes, creating a smooth transition from one part of the face to another.

    Thanks to blush, you can create the image of a young girl or an extravagant woman, make your face faded and tired, or, conversely, healthy and blooming. It is important how the blush will be applied and where the color accents will be placed.

    There are two types of blush: oily and dry. Oily blush can be creamy (in a tube) or compact (in a cake) consistency, dry blush can be compact, crumbly, and also be in the form of balls.

    According to the color scheme, blush is divided into two groups: colored (cold shades - from pale pink to caustic pink, warm shades - from peach and coral to orange-brown) and beige-brown (shades of tan).

    The first group is intended for drawing a blush as such, and the second - for correcting and modeling the oval of the face and emphasizing its structure.

    The composition of blush is similar to the composition of powder and shadows.

    Shadowsforcentury

    The concept of "shadow" includes all the variety of special paints designed to decorate the eyes and give depth to the look. Eye makeup is based on the principle of a competent and harmonious combination of lines and colors. Lines give shape to the eyes, increase or decrease the size, and emphasize or change the shape of the eyes. The color of the shadows highlights the color of the eyes, makes the look more expressive, open, "open".

    According to the composition of the shadow, there are two types: dry and oily.

    According to the consistency, crumbly and compact dry shadows are distinguished. Bold shadows can be liquid, compact, in the form of crayons, lipsticks and pencils.

    The texture of the shadows are matte (suitable for natural, day, business and age makeup), mother-of-pearl (used for solemn and evening makeup).

    Shadows serve the following functions:

    Eye modeling (changing the shape, cut, size, etc.)

    Correction of the eyes (enlargement of small eyes, "raising" the "falling" corners of the eyes; "pushing" forward deep-set eyes, etc.)

    · Giving the person a certain expression (strictness, openness, good looks, extravagance, etc.);

    Emphasizing the color of the eyes (for which - bluish shades are used, for green - pinkish-lilac, for blue - beige-brown)

    · Solving compositional problems in a holistic way of the model.

    The composition and ingredients of the shadows, as well as their production, are similar to the formula of the powder, with the exception of dyes. AT this case their range is much wider than in the production of powders. The basis of the shadows is talc, vegetable and mineral substances, magnesia stearate, mineral oil, silk protein, preservatives, fragrances.

    Pencilsforcentury

    Cosmetic pencils play an important role in eye makeup. It is thanks to pencils that you can make the look hard and sharp or soft and radiant. There are three types of eye contour products: kyle, hard contour pencil, and aligner.

    Kyle- This is a very soft eye contour pencil that draws a bold bright line. Kyle is usually either black or white. White kyle is used mainly for eyeliner of the lower inner eyelid in order to visual magnification eyes, giving freshness to the eyes, and make-up solemnity, visually “relieves” eye fatigue and hides the redness and yellowness of proteins. Often, a kyle adds depth to the look and is designed to drastically change the shape of the eyes, as well as create the effect of thicker eyelashes and deepen the eyes a little. If you draw a line along the inner lower eyelid with a black pick, then the eyes will appear narrower and smaller, while the look will be burning and sharp.

    Unlike the usual Kyle contour pencil for the eyelids is more solid. It blends worse, does not leave a thick bold line. But he draws more evenly and thinner and you can not fix it with shadows - he will stay on the eyelids for a long time anyway. When choosing an eyeliner, you should pay attention to the fact that it glides easily without scratching the skin, and leaves a soft, thin mark. The color range of pencils is very large; the pencil is selected either in tone to match the shadows, or tone to match the eyes, but opposite in color to the shadows.

    Eileiner- liquid eyeliner With its help, all kinds of "arrows" in the style of the 60s or 70s are easily achieved. XX century, thin beaded lines along the century. Liquid eyeliners are produced in the form of a felt-tip pen, in a case with a hairy or felt brush. Eyeliners can also be compact, in the form of a cake. Such eyeliners are similar to watercolor paints and are applied with a thin round brush dipped in water. Liquid eyeliners, as a rule, do not shade.

    Pencilsforeyebrows. Eyebrow pencils create a defined shape for the eyebrows. Thanks to this form, the face takes on a different expression: sadness, joy, surprise, attention, fear, goodwill, etc. eyebrows should be in harmony with the eyes. The color of the eyebrows should match the color of the hair, however, too light eyebrows give the impression of a "blank" look and a browless face. Coloring with a black pencil is undesirable, even if one's own hair is burning black. It is better to soften the unnatural blackness by replacing it with a more delicate dark brown pencil. Gray shades age, so for blondes, it is better to use light grayish brown or beige shades.

    An eyebrow is considered classic, in which the length of the part going up is greater than that going down. It is determined by the ratio of 2:1. the main rule is that the tail of the eyebrow should not be lower than the head of the eyebrow (beginning), otherwise the eyes will appear “falling”, and the face will look sadder and older.

    Unlike eyeliners, eyebrow pencils are harder and harder, so they should not be used to outline the eye contour. It is better to draw not a solid line along the eyebrow, but to imitate the hairs, repeating their location with small short strokes. This will make your brow look more natural.

    Eyebrow pencils are based on cotton and hydrogenated castor oil, as well as extracts from coconut, vitamins A, C, B, preservatives, dyes and fragrances.

    inkforeyelashes

    The application of mascara involves the completion of work on eye makeup. Without beautiful and properly colored eyelashes, the eyes will appear tired, faded, unattractive. And all the diligence spent on applying shadows, drawing the contour of the eyes and shaping the eyebrows will be in vain. Eyelashes give the look languor, feminine charm, and sometimes coquetry, playfulness, slyness. Depending on the shape that is given to the eyelashes with the help of the chosen mascara, the eyes may appear large, round, oriental, slanted, etc. For this, ink of various types is used.

    The consistency of the mascara is solid and liquid. By appointment, ink is classified as follows:

    Volumetric (to add volume to the eyelashes, thickening the hairs); used for thin and sparse eyelashes, as well as for solemn and evening make-up;

    waterproof (washable only with special products, resistant to water and soap); used when playing sports, in swimming pools, on beaches, in baths, etc.;

    lengthening (increasing the length of the hairs); used for thin and short eyelashes;

    for sensitive eyes(not containing fragrances and additives that are part of the bulk and lengthening); used by women prone to allergic reactions to eye cosmetics;

    classic - the most common type of mascara, designed for everyday use (it paints over every hair well, which gives the eyelashes a natural look).

    Liquid mascara in its composition has a water-alcohol solution of the dye, which serves to dry the eyelashes; natural resins designed for waterproof mascaras so that they do not spread from excessive moisture; waxes (peat, carnauba, bees, etc.), which create additional volume and length, as well as increase thermal stability and form a water-air-tight film; vegetable and mineral oils; high quality soap; soot.

    Solid carcasses with good moisture resistance, in addition to the above ingredients, may contain propolis, which has an anti-inflammatory and disinfectant agent. All carcasses have different kinds of preservatives. Perfumes and other useful additives.

    Decorativefundsforlips

    Labialpomade

    Like the eyes, lips can tell a lot. If the eyes are the "mirror of the soul", then the lips are a reflection of a person's character. Full juicy lips speak of good nature, benevolence, generosity of a person; thin, compressed - on the contrary, more often indicate an evil, jealous, cunning character; lips "bow" - flirtatious, sensual. Even the color of the chosen lipstick will tell about the hostess: cold shades are chosen, as a rule, when you want to appear gentle, feminine, soft, charming. In addition, the lipstick used today by our women is not just a decorative spot on the face, it is a salvation from premature signs of aging and care for such an important part of the face as the lips.

    Thus, the functions of lipstick are defined by themselves: creating female image through lip makeup; completion of the compositional construction of makeup; lip care thanks to the useful components that are part of the lipstick; correction of irregular lip shape; creation of color harmony in a holistic image of a woman, including makeup, hair and clothes.

    Lip care primarily involves the presence of nourishing and moisturizing substances in the composition of lipstick, for example, such as hyaluric acid, recognized as the most powerful and effective moisturizer. Unfortunately, not all manufacturers use this ingredient in the formulation of lipsticks, as it significantly increases the cost of the product. However, the results of its use are so positive and high that, having felt the effect of this component once, it is unlikely that you will want to change this product for another. But each type of lipstick has its own characteristics and properties and is used depending on the purpose and tasks.

    According to their properties, lipsticks are of the following types.

    Moisturizing pomade not only colors the lips, but also softens them, preventing peeling and the appearance of small cracks and wrinkles. Recommended in hot and windy weather.

    Nutritious pomade protects lips from cracking and saturates the skin with vitamins. it most often includes various waxes and fats, therefore, in order to prevent lipstick from spreading, you must first outline the contour with a pencil. This type of lipstick is best used in frosty and cold weather, when the lips are especially in need of a protective fatty film and additional nutrition.

    Hygienic pomade prevents dryness and cracking of the skin of the lips, makes them more elastic, elastic, smooth, and also gives the lips a natural healthy shine. Hygienic lipstick can contain a whole range of useful substances, such as vitamins, UV filters, antiseptic, nourishing and moisturizing ingredients. It can be used regardless of the time of year and weather conditions, as it is often used to prevent the maintenance of a healthy lip skin.

    sustainable and super resistant lipstick - their name speaks for itself: stable lipsticks stay on the lips for about 8-10 hours, super-resistant lipsticks - 24 hours. can be attributed to the fact that they cause a feeling of tightness and dryness on the lips. As a result, stable and super-resistant lipsticks should not be used every day. They are recommended in hot weather, for special occasions and are not desirable for use in the winter season.

    Shine for lips simultaneously moisturizes lips, preventing chapped lips, and nourishes and protects against the harmful effects of UV rays and the environment. At the same time, the decorative role of gloss is that it makes the lips more plump, moist and attractive. However, it should not be used in cases where the skin is oily or wrinkled, as it further accentuates these imperfections.

    As a rule, lip gloss is transparent, with sparkles, as well as mother-of-pearl, and has a delicious smell. It can be used in combination with lipstick, but the durability of this lip makeup option will not be long. Unfortunately, lip glosses do not hold the contour well, they spread and are quickly “eaten up”.

    Pomade - shine combines the intense color of lipstick and all the properties of lip gloss. Unlike regular gloss, it is more stable on the lips; Designed for festive and festive occasions and evening make-up. When using gloss lipstick, it should be remembered that, like all other cosmetics with glitter and mother of pearl, it emphasizes wrinkles and skin defects, so it can only be used with impeccable makeup.

    According to the texture of lipstick are: compact, liquid; by texture and purpose - matte for natural, day, business make-up; mother-of-pearl - for daytime, solemn, evening and special make-up.

    The composition of lipsticks includes the following ingredients: carnauba wax; beeswax; mineral oil; vegetable oils; lycetin, collagen, paraffin, lanolin. The composition of lipsticks also includes silicones, vitamins A, C, B5, physical and chemical UV filters, preservatives, dyes, fragrances.

    contourpencilsforlips

    A lip liner is, in fact, a lipstick pressed into a thin rod with a large amount of coloring particles and a denser and thicker consistency, so you should not be afraid and avoid lip pencils. Functions of lip pencils: highlighting the correct shape of the lips; correction of irregular lip shape; lip shape modeling; "Retention" from spreading and creating a clear border of lipstick.

    Lip pencils are wooden, automatic, plastic.

    The quality of pencils depends on the quality of the shell and the workmanship of the core itself. So, wooden lip pencils are easy to use, easy to sharpen. Poorly made pencils crumble, have an unpleasant aftertaste, quickly smear, spread and create dirt and the effect of careless makeup on the lips. Unlike other pencils, microbes do not multiply on their surface. Automatic pencils are convenient because they do not require sharpening: the core is unscrewed from the case as needed. Sometimes such pencils are accompanied by a special sharpener for the rod built into the case in case the contour line needs to be made thinner and clearer. Plastic pencils, like wooden ones, are sharpened with a sharpener, but sharpening is faster and smoother.

    When choosing a lip pencil, it is necessary that its shade matches the shade of lipstick. A pencil shade is allowed a tone darker than lipstick. With lighter nuances, the contour of the lips will appear blurry, fuzzy, smeared and sloppy. You should combine cold shades with cold, warm with warm. The overall color tone of the lip makeup also depends on the color of the chosen pencil: the same lipstick looks different when combined with different shades pencils.

    The main ingredients that make up the lip pencils: hydrogenated vegetable glycerides; glycerol; talc; vegetable oils; natural flower extracts, preservatives; paraffin; zinc oxide; dyes; mica.

    What does decorative cosmetics mean for modern life? Can you imagine your life without her? Me not!

    Some time ago, having won in one of the competitions of the wonderful fashion portal Relook, I became the owner of wonderful cosmetics from Avon of the Luxe series. The set includes: lipstick, lip gloss, shadows, mascara, powder and foundation. I am very pleased with the present, and the idea arose in my head to write a short article about decorative cosmetics.

    Each of us, in childhood, secretly painted her lips with lipstick, used blush, eye shadow, powder, imitating her older sisters or mother. Of course, over time, all girls develop taste, habits and the desire to be beautiful and attractive. Naturally, we constantly try new decorative cosmetics, select the best, taking into account many different factors.

    So what is decorative cosmetics?
    Decorative cosmetics are special products designed to mask imperfections in the skin of the face and other parts of the body. Designed to improve the appearance, create a certain image (evening, for every day) and emphasize the attractive features of the face and body. Decorative cosmetics is what makeup is created with.

    What does decorative cosmetics include?
    Decorative cosmetics includes: foundation, powder, shadows, mascara, blush, lip glosses, lipsticks, varnishes and other makeup products.

    Very often, the inability to use decorative cosmetics leads to not very good consequences, and instead of beautifying a woman’s appearance, adding zest to her image, improper makeup simply disfigures her. The main task of cosmetics is to mask the imperfections of the skin, to give expressiveness to the eyes and lips.

    How to use makeup correctly?
    You should know that before applying makeup, you need to wash and wipe the skin with a tonic or lotion. After this simple procedure, you need to start applying powder or foundation. Shades of data cosmetics choose depending on the texture and tone of your skin, hair color. The foundation is applied strictly along the massage lines, and fixed with powder. In no case should you apply too much cream and powder, all in moderation, otherwise, instead of correcting minor skin imperfections, you will give it the effect of a “mask”.

    After applying the tone, you need to proceed to the blush. It is worth remembering that on tanned face bright blush does not look very beautiful. It is recommended to select blush according to the color of lipstick (shine), apply this cosmetic product under the zygomatic arch with a special brush.

    Now let's start applying the shadows. What shades to choose? Of course, it is necessary to take into account the color of the eyes and the color of the hair, you can use two shades at once, which will not create disharmony together. A brighter layer of shadows is applied to the outer corner, and a lighter one to the inner.

    Mascara! This cosmetic product is applied immediately after the shadows, it should not form lumps, but rather separate and highlight your cilia. Recently, colored mascaras have become popular, they are applied, taking into account the color of the eyes and applied shadows.

    Lipstick is selected depending on the color of the skin, the applied shadows, the color of the hair and on what event you are going to. For weekdays, it is best to opt for lipsticks and glosses in discreet colors. Before applying lipstick, outline the contour of the lips with a pencil.

    Decorative cosmetics must be chosen and applied, taking into account not only the characteristics of the skin and hair, but also age, style and even character. It is foolish to follow fashion if a certain makeup does not suit you.
    It is necessary to use decorative cosmetics in moderation, I think no one will be pleased to see a painted face.

    And now about cosmetics from Avon "Luxe"!
    I have never seen a better foundation in my life, it goes on evenly, almost imperceptibly. The powder has the same properties, hides the imperfections of the skin of the face. The lipstick lasts quite a long time. The gloss is perfect. I like the mascara, it goes on evenly without clumps. Alas, I didn’t use eyeliner, since I have small eyes, probably, many people know that using eyeliner, the eyes visually decrease.

    And what kind of decorative cosmetics do our wonderful relook women choose?

    According to the main types of raw materials used for their manufacture, decorative cosmetics are divided into fat-based, powdered and compact products. Fat-based cosmetics - lipsticks, lip glosses and balms, blush, eye shadows, eyeliners, lips, eyebrows and other products. They are made from a mixture of synthetic and natural products: fats, waxes, oils, biologically active substances with the addition of dyes and pigments. Powdered and compact decorative cosmetics - powder, dry blush, compact eye shadow, are powdery flavored mixtures of mineral and organic substances.

    Oil-based decorative cosmetics. Lipsticks are hygienic (colorless or slightly colored), protective (from exposure to cold or UV rays) and tonal - for coloring lips. Hygienic lipsticks contain moisturizing and wound-healing preparations: vinyline, propolis, azulene, bisabolol, vitamins E, K, avocado oil.

    By consistency, lipsticks are solid (rod, pencil) and creamy, packaged in jars or tubes with a brush. According to the degree of fat content of a smear of lipstick, they are divided into fatty, bold and dry. The fat content of lipstick is related to its formulation and the melting point of the waxes that make up the composition. The dropping point (close to the melting point) of lipsticks should be between 55 and 80°C, which ensures the strength of the lipstick rod and high smear quality.

    The widest range is a tonal lipstick, produced in a wide range of tones and shades. By color fastness, foundation lipstick is divided into three types - simple, traditional (keeps on lips for 3-4 hours); stable (5-
    6 hours) and ultra-resistant (super-resistant), retaining its color on the lips for more than 6-7 hours and leaving a minimal imprint. Tonal lipstick contains in its composition pigments (of natural or synthetic origin), which provide coverage (opacity) of lipstick, and organic dyes. Dyes are allowed to be introduced into the composition of lipsticks no more than 3-3.5%, while the total content of dyes and pigments in lipstick is 20%.

    When evaluating the quality of lipsticks, the appearance is determined - the surface of the rod should be even, smooth, evenly colored, without bubbles and cracks, the smell is pleasant, the smear is even, uniform, without grains.

    Packaging, labeling, storage. Lipsticks are packaged in metal, plastic or combined cases, while the lipstick must hold firmly inside the case, the engine must move freely, and during the reverse movement it must not cut off the edge of the lipstick. Lipsticks are produced in cases (folding thin cardboard) and without them, as well as in sets with other cosmetic products.

    Lipsticks are stored in dry, ventilated rooms with a relative humidity of no more than 70% at a temperature of 0 to 25°C.

    Decorative cosmetics powder and compact

    Powder is a flavored finely ground mixture of amorphous talc, zinc oxide, zinc stearate, magnesium stearate, starch, rice or maize flour (in various ratios) and natural mineral pigments. The powder should absorb the secretions of the skin, eliminate its shine, be easy to apply to the skin and have sufficient hiding power to mask skin defects.

    According to the state of aggregation, loose powder, compact, liquid, cream powder are distinguished. By skin type - for normal, oily and dry. By tone - white, pink, raschel (pink-yellow) light and dark, peach, tan (the tone can be indicated by a number). Loose powder according to the degree of grinding of the components is divided into groups "extra" (especially fine grinding) and the 1st group. The content of water and volatile components in powdered powders is 2%, the mass fraction of zinc stearate is not more than 20%.

    Powdered powder is packed in cardboard, plastic or combined boxes, the top of the box must be covered with a polymer film to prevent it from spilling.

    In compact products, the content of volatile components and moisture is 7%, the mass fraction of zinc stearate is 11%; they are smaller in volume, have a higher density. Compact powder has the ability to be applied lightly on the skin, but not crumble. Starch, dextrin, tragacanth are used as a binder. The correct proportion of powder substances and binder ensures the degree of compactness of the powder - dense, but not hard; incapable of "salting" on the surface.

    This also applies to other compact products - blush, eye shadow, etc. Compact shadows and blush differ from powder in tone and color of pigments and dyes, with a predominance of cold tones - green and blue, purple, lilac, etc. The quality of powder compactness , blush, eye shadows are checked by hitting a saucer with a compact product on a hard surface covered with a layer of linoleum: products should not crack.

    Compact powder and other products are packaged in metal or plastic saucers, which are inserted into powder boxes or palettes and supplemented with an insert (eyeshadow applicators) for application. A polymeric film spacer is placed between the powder layer and the liner.

    Powdered and compact decorative cosmetics should be stored in dry warehouses at a temperature not lower than 0°C and not higher than plus 25°C and relative air humidity not higher than 70%. The warranty period for the storage of products is determined by the manufacturer.

    Mascara

    The most widely used liquid emulsion mascara in a can with a screw cap-brush. It has higher consumer properties, ease of use.

    Liquid emulsion mascara is a suspension of finely ground coloring pigments in an emulsion medium containing substances that leave a hydrophobic, water-soluble colored film on the eyelashes. The emulsion contains fat components, lanolin derivatives, vegetable waxes, film-forming polymers, emulsifiers, emulsion stabilizers. To protect the mucous membrane of the eyes, anti-inflammatory additives are introduced into the mascaras - azulene, propolis, provitamins, rose oil, etc. Mascara is produced in various colors. Mascara is ordinary and resistant to water; the latter contains in its composition a large number of water repellents and waxes, which dissolve only in special liquids for removing fatty cosmetics. To increase the volume of eyelashes and lengthen them, 3-4% of fine crushed polymer fibers are introduced into emulsion mascaras.

    Decorative cosmetics for nails

    Decorative cosmetics for nails are manicure varnishes and enamels. Nail polish is a colorless or colored transparent solution of a mixture of polymeric film-forming agents in organic solvents. After drying, the varnish leaves a transparent film on the nails. Nail enamel is a colored, opaque suspension of pigments in polish. Enamel leaves an opaque colored film on the nails.

    Nail enamels contain finely dispersed mineral pigments, various dyes, metal oxides, pearlescent additives (guanine), finely ground motley inclusions of "gold" or "silver" (aluminum particles about 0.1 mm in size), mica particles and other decorative additives, depending on from fashion.

    Film-forming polymers in varnishes and enamels (hereinafter - varnishes) are cellulose nitrate and polymer resins - polyester, styrene-acrylate copolymers, which improve the structure of the film, increase gloss, hardness and adhesion (bonding strength) to the surface of the nail. To reduce the fragility of the film, high-molecular oils are introduced into the composition of varnishes - plasticizers, for example, castor oil, dibutyl phthalate. Organic solvents in varnishes serve to improve dispersion, reduce viscosity and form a quality film layer. The content of dry residue in varnishes is 12-18%. On the labeling of varnish (more often on a folding case) there should be information about the content of volatile components. It is forbidden to use toluene and formaldehyde in varnishes. Solvents can cause irritation or allergies, but the dry film itself is harmless.

    A film of nail polish should evenly cover the nails and remain unchanged on the nails for as long as possible. Lacquer films must be resistant to water, as well as cleaning, washing and rinsing agents.

    The drying time of a double layer of varnish at a temperature of 20°C should be no more than 2.5 minutes. Currently, enamels are produced with high hiding power and a drying rate of 1-
    2 minutes.

    The modern assortment of decorative cosmetics for nails includes protective compositions for nails with protein, gelatin and calcium salts, means for strengthening nails and restoring nail plates, a varnish base that smoothes out irregularities on the nail plates.

    Nail polish removers contain a mixture of solvents - acetone, amyl acetate, ethyl acetate, isopropyl alcohol, etc., with the addition of castor oil. They are distinguished by the ability to quickly dissolve the varnish film. Acetone-free fluids are available.

    Manicure varnishes are packaged in glass bottles of various shapes with a volume of 15 ml (1/2 fl.oz.) with a screw-cut cap and an insert brush. In some varnishes, a glass or metal ball is placed on the bottom for ease of mixing the composition. The lacquer bottles are produced in folding cardboard cases and without it.

    Storage of nail varnishes at a temperature not lower than plus 5°С and not higher than 25°С, subject to fire safety.

    The beauty of women constantly attracts attention, therefore, from time immemorial, they strive to look perfect, and to achieve these goals, people began to make cosmetics thousands of years ago.

    Historians believe that the first cosmetics appeared 5000 years ago in ancient Egypt. This is evidenced by archaeological excavations in Egyptian tombs, because it was there that vessels were found with various ointments and incense, consisting of natural herbs. It is noted that the very first recipe for a cosmetic product was written down about 1500 years ago.

    The main achievements in the cosmetology field were associated with the study and application of products, both plant and animal. Hundreds of years ago, cosmetics were divided into two groups - to maintain beauty (shampoos, soaps, creams and others) and to improve the appearance (this is decorative cosmetics, which includes mascaras, powders, lipsticks, shadows, nail polishes and other). It was in Egypt that the first recipe for black hair dye from the blood of black animals was prepared, and later recorded, and a little later a recipe for red henna dye was invented. It is mentioned that the very first handbook for making cosmetics was created by Cleopatra, it described recipes for making white, powder and blush.

    Some time later, cosmetics appeared in Greece, and then in Rome. The application of cosmetics in ancient times was called make-up, this procedure was elevated to the rank of art, only after a long period did a fashion for a certain make-up appear, which contributed to the further development of cosmetic production.

    Scientists in the cosmetic field developed a powder based on white lead, this remedy was very unhealthy, but it was used until the end of the Renaissance, when the expression appeared: "Beauty requires sacrifice." Since lead white powder was very expensive, only rich people could use it, and women from poor families powdered their faces with a mixture of wheat or bean flour.

    The first compact powder was invented by the Spaniards, who made it by mixing different shades of powder onto sheets of parchment that were covered with glue. Tearing off a piece of sheet with powder, women rubbed their faces with it, but such powder had Negative influence on the skin, because it clogged the pores, which provoked the appearance of irritation. A little later, in Germany, scientists managed to make talc, which was based on natural minerals.

    The first mascara appeared in Rome, then this cosmetic product was made on the basis of resin and wax, but after applying such mascara, the eyelashes became very heavy, moreover, they stuck together in a thick layer. A little later, scientists included ant eggs, lead and dead flies in the carcass, which was also unsafe and did not bring desired result. In 1913, student Terry Williams managed to make a semblance of a modern carcass, which was based on petroleum jelly. However, only in 1980, scientists introduced polymers into the mascara, which allowed this tool not to stick eyelashes and add volume.

    The basis of lipstick as many years ago, and now, includes fats and beeswax. In ancient times, scarlet and pink shades were popular, and for some time the lips were not painted at all, brightening them with powder. In 1915, the first metal tube of lipstick was invented in America, which caused a "lipstick boom".

    Decorative cosmetics

    The current trend is that the clear lines between cosmetics for skin and hair care and decorative cosmetics are erased, since almost all cosmetics contain ingredients that provide nutrition, hydration, care and protection of the skin. In addition, silicones, hyaluronic acid, vitamins and sunscreens, which are also found in creams, can be found in the basis of decorative cosmetics.

    However, there is a separate classification of decorative cosmetics, which includes:

    • tonal means;
    • masking agents;
    • powders;
    • blush;
    • eyeshadow;
    • eyeliners;
    • eyebrow pencils;
    • mascara;
    • lipsticks;
    • lip glosses;
    • lip pencils;
    • nail polishes;
    • varnish fixatives;
    • cuticle remover;
    • nail polish remover.

    How to choose the right cosmetics

    Very often, making a mistake in choosing decorative cosmetics, women not only throw money away, but also harm the health of the skin and appearance. Therefore, it is important to know the basic rules for choosing cosmetics.

    For example, when choosing a foundation, one should take into account not only the coverage density and ease of application, but also the skin type. For dry to normal skin, it is recommended to choose a satiny radiant cream texture that will moisturize the skin and give a healthy tone. For oily skin, a matte finish with a cream-powder texture is ideal, which will prevent the appearance of oily sheen. For sensitive and problematic skin, it is best to choose foundations that do not contain oils and fragrances.

    In addition to the texture of the foundation, its tone must be taken into account. Test foundation necessary on the chin or cheekbones. So, for tanned skin, sand shades or Ivory, and for pinkish or pale skin - light cream and beige shades.

    When choosing blush, it is worth remembering that cream blush visually looks more natural, unlike loose blush. For dark skin blush of lilac and coral shades are ideal, and light - peach and pale pink.

    Eye shadow is tested on the inside of the wrist with a cotton pad. Shades of shadows are selected depending on the color of the eyes, hair and skin tone. It is best to opt for loose shadows, since liquid ones tend to roll and smear.

    Eyeliner pencils are tested on the back of the hand, and then run over it with your finger, in the event that the eyeliner is completely smeared, then you should not buy it.

    There is currently big choice mascara, which has certain properties, the best mascara has a thin and long brush. When choosing a shade of this cosmetic product, it is necessary to be based on the color of the eyes, so black mascara will suit everyone, green, blue and burgundy brown-eyed ladies, and purple will emphasize gray-blue and green eyes.

    Testing lipstick and lip gloss is carried out on the fingertips, after application it is worth checking the product for stickiness. Also, each lipstick has a special mark, for example, "gloss" means that the lipstick will add shine, and "lacquer" - maximum color.

    In addition to determining the texture and tone, you must carefully read the composition of each product, high-quality cosmetics should always contain vitamins (usually A, E and C), hyaluronic acid and plant extracts (jojoba or avocado oil; rosemary, calendula or chamomile extract; aloe vera juice ). You should also pay attention to the expiration date. Recently, manufacturers of decorative cosmetics do not indicate the production date on the tube, instead they apply a code that does not give any information to the person. According to European standards, decorative cosmetics in a package can be stored for 36 months.

    Main raw materials: Fats, oils, fat-like components; Waxes; Hydrocarbons; Higher fatty acids and alcohols; Surfactants; Emulsifiers and emulsifying mixtures; Solubilizers; Abrasives and fillers; gelling agents; preservatives; Sulfur-containing preparations; film-forming substances.

    The nomenclature of quality indicators of decorative cosmetics products is determined not only by their purpose, but also by their composition. Requirements for the quality of lipsticks, gloss, lip balms, eye shadows, blush and pencils for lips, eyelids, eyebrows, made on a fat basis, are determined by GOST 28767 - 90.

    Decorative cosmetics for the eyes, types, features of the composition.

    In decorative cosmetics, eye makeup is of paramount importance. To create a neat and stable eye makeup, you should start by applying it to the eyelids. base creams for the eyelids, which are powdered on top, only after that they use eye shadow. Not all companies produce the base cream; it is included, for example, in the Lumene series. depending from eyeshadow makeup they are produced on a fat basis (similar in composition to lipstick) and solid, they are produced only in compact ones (similar in composition to compact powder). The stability of makeup when using shadows on a fat basis is low, so they are almost never released now. The range of eyeshadows is divided into colors, shades and number of shades per pack (1-, 2-, 3- and 4-color) and sets . According to the type of surface being created shadows are divided into matte, shiny and mother-of-pearl. The choice in this case is determined by the direction of fashion and the tastes of the consumer. The eyeshadow package includes an applicator.

    To emphasize or change the shape of the eyes, tools such as eyeliner, eyeliner and eyebrow pencil.

    Pencils for eyes and eyebrows differ only in color, and the colors of eyeliners are more diverse.

    Mechanical eyeliner is similar to eyeliner, but the eyeliner stick extends automatically and sharpens as it does so. This is a more convenient tool compared to a traditional pencil.

    Liquid eyeliner is a new cosmetic product that allows you to very carefully emphasize the shape of the eyes, and without pressure on the delicate skin of the eyelids. As a rule, useful additives are included in the liquid eyeliner. This is the most expensive cosmetic product.

    After eye shadow and pencil, the most important cosmetic product for the eyes is ink. Makeup, even sophisticated Sámi, will not be complete without carefully tinted eyelashes. Mascara is presented in a fairly wide range. Hard mascara with a brush is practically not produced now, because. she is obsolete. The modern range is represented by creamy mascara. Water resistance of mascara means that it does not form streaks when washed off with water, in the rain, but does not characterize its resistance to sweat and tears. On the oily skin mascara can also smudge. It's difficult to remove it. When choosing a mascara, you should take into account the shape, size, density of the eyelashes and select a tool that will eliminate the imperfections.

    The use of decorative cosmetics

    The use of various cosmetics to decorate the appearance is a certain art. Skillfully applied decorative cosmetics allows you to emphasize the beauty of the face and hide certain of its shortcomings. When choosing decorative cosmetics, you need to take into account the color of the skin, hair, eyes, face shape, age, time and location of a person (a gala evening or dinner, everyday work, etc.)

    Decorative cosmetics occupy the largest share in the production of cosmetic products. These are powders (powdered and pressed), pencils for eyebrows, eyelids and eyelashes, lipsticks, blush, foundation powders, makeup, hair dyes, eyebrows, eyelashes, nail polishes, hair, etc. All types of this cosmetic The products are available in different colors and shades.

    There are two types of face painting: simple and complex. Simple tinting is used, as a rule, with an oval face shape with regular features. The purpose of such tinting is to give the face freshness and expressiveness. But the oval of the face can be elongated, triangular in shape (a face tapering downward or upward), as well as round and quadrangular in shape. Along with the oval of the face, it is necessary to take into account its individual parts - forehead (large, small, narrow, wide), eyebrows (horizontal, round, long, short), nose (large, small, long, humpbacked, saddle-shaped), chin (round, oblique). Violation of the proportions of the face requires more complex tinting. With the help of paints of different colors and tones, you can give the face a more correct - oval - shape. As you know, light colors increase volume and make parts of the face more convex.

    Classification of decorative cosmetics

    Dark tones, on the contrary, hide the excessive volume and bulge of parts of the face. Using light and dark tonal powders, the face is given a more regular shape. For example, with a round or quadrangular face shape, more light tone impose on the central part of the face, and darker - on the zygomatic and jaw parts of the face. With an elongated face, a light tone is applied to the cheeks, jaw and temporal region; skin-colored cream-powder is applied to the rest of the face. Face coloring begins with skin cleansing; for this purpose, for dry skin, it is better to use lotions such as "Milk" or vegetable oil; oily skin is cleaned with soap and water or one of the oily skin lotions. It is recommended to clean the face in a certain order: remove lipstick, clean the eyelids and eyelashes from the paint and then clean the rest of the face. Then one of the liquid creams is applied to the face - the basis for the subsequent application of foundation or powder. Tint the cheeks and powder the face. Give shape and pattern to the eyebrows, tint the eyelids. Lips are painted last.

    Coloring lips should begin with the choice of lipstick. Every woman is recommended to have several shades of lipsticks, as well as a lighter lip liner, which is initially shaped to the lips. It should be remembered that upper lip should be tinted up to the corners of the mouth, while the underside may be rounder and fuller, going somewhat beyond the natural border. When applying the contour of the lips, it is more convenient for the mouth to be closed, and when applying lipstick, the mouth is slightly opened; in conclusion, pressing a strip of paper or a piece of bandage with your lips, remove excess lipstick. You can use another way of coloring the lips: first paint with lipstick, and then outline their borders with a contour pencil.

    The color of the lipstick should match the color of the nail polish and blush.

    Tinting up the face, you should always remember about age. For girls 18-19 years old, only light powdering of the face is recommended. At 20-29 years old, blondes are recommended light, and dark colors are recommended for brunettes. Women over 50 are better off using pastel colors.

    Evening makeup should not be used during the day, especially for older women. It allows wider use of decorative cosmetics and its brighter tones. The means of evening make-up include tone for the face of various shades. By the way, cream powder or compact powder can be used instead of tone. The tone covers the entire face, with the exception of the skin of the eyelids.

    After toning the face, blush is applied. With dry and normal skin it is better to use oily or emulsion blush, for oily skin it is better to use liquid or dry blush. Blush is applied in a thin layer on the upper outer part of the cheeks and temples. It should always be remembered that blush and tone make the face much older.

    When tinting the eyelids, it is recommended to use special pencils of various colors: black, brown, gray, green or blue. The upper eyelids can be shaded with special tint creams. The color of pencils and tint creams should be selected in accordance with eye color, skin tone and hair color. It is necessary to use mascara moderately and select its color in a certain range.

    Evening makeup should not be an update to daytime makeup or an addition to it. It is always applied anew on previously cleansed skin.

    Cosmetic products give a beautiful appearance and healthy condition to the skin and hair and therefore have great hygienic, aesthetic and psychological significance. They cleanse, moisturize, nourish, strengthen, protect against adverse environmental factors, and eliminate inflammatory processes. Consumer properties of cosmetics in general can be divided into the following main groups:

    functional; -ergonomic; -reliability; -aesthetic; -safety.

    The functional properties that determine the effectiveness of the agent are the most important for the consumer. Depending on the purpose of cosmetics, the functions performed by them have features: for example, for shampoos, this is a washing, foaming ability, for deodorants, it eliminates sweat, for nail polish, it dries out, for decorative cosmetics - color etc. The most important functional properties of cosmetics are:

    Cleansing ability, which is characterized by washing ability (for soaps and gels), cleansing effect (for milk, lotions), toning ability (for tonics), exfoliating ability (scrubs that remove dead skin scales from the skin surface and promote deeper cleaning).

    Cosmetic properties are manifested through the external visible effect of improving the condition of the skin and hair, thanks to moisturizing, nourishing, regenerating, improving metabolic processes in the skin, as a result of which the firmness and elasticity of the skin increases, its color improves, wrinkles are smoothed out. As moisturizers, hyaluronic acid and organic hydroxy acids (malic, citric, lactic) are most often used. Their action is associated with the formation of an elastic film on the surface of the skin, which limits the evaporation of moisture, thereby contributing to its preservation.

    Vitamins (A, F, E), yeast complexes, liposomes are offered as nutritional components.

    Protective properties provided by sunscreen additives, additives that provide a protective aging factor (tanning products), additives that provide protection against low temperatures(creams intended for use in the cold season).

    Therapeutic and prophylactic properties, have an antiseptic effect (foot care products, antiperspirants), a cleansing and degreasing effect (remedies for acne), anti-seborrheic effect (medicated hair shampoos).

    Special properties include skin whitening, the ability to shrink pores (deodorants-perspirants), depilation (removal of hair by chemical or mechanical means).

    Ergonomic properties, satisfy the physiological and psychological needs in accordance with certain characteristics of consumers. They characterize the ability of the product to create a feeling of convenience and comfort. Ergonomic properties of beauty products are determined by consistency; packaging; devices that facilitate the use of cosmetic products, etc.

    The reliability of cosmetic products is primarily related to their shelf life and is determined by the shelf life, which can be from several months to 3 years. A longer shelf life of cosmetics should cause careful attention to its composition, and above all to the type and amount of preservative. The expiration date of domestic cosmetics is determined by regulatory documents. However, when using new, higher quality preservatives, the shelf life increases, therefore, in the production of cosmetics, the practice of establishing the shelf life by the manufacturer himself, which is based on the formulation of the product, has developed.

    The aesthetic properties of cosmetic products are designed to satisfy the aesthetic needs of a person. The indicators of these properties are appearance, color, smell, package design, information content of the package, style orientation. The style of beauty products reflects the relationship between the content and appearance of products. Corporate identity, which determines the image of the company and its products, is especially evident in decoration packaging.

    Decorative cosmetics - abstract

    Domestic manufacturers pay great attention to creating their own corporate identity and have achieved great success in this direction, for example, the products of Nevskaya Cosmetics, the Kalina concern, Green Mom, Grim, and Svoboda are easily recognizable by a single design that is unique to them .

    The safety of cosmetic products depends on the composition, quality of the original components, the production process, storage and sale conditions, and consumption conditions. At each stage of the life cycle, certain processes can occur in cosmetic products that cause changes that are dangerous to human health. Therefore, to check the safety of cosmetic products, a set of tests is carried out. For chemical indicators, the set of tests includes the determination of the hydrogen index (acid number or alkali content). All these indicators determine the effect of cosmetics on the skin and hair.
