I love you very much the winter vacation. Although they are much shorter than the summer ones, they are always fun and bright. This is because my favorite holidays occur during the winter holidays - New Year and Christmas. Throughout the two weeks of rest from classes, a festive atmosphere reigns.
I usually spend the winter holidays at home because my grandparents or other relatives come to visit us for the holidays. We are all preparing for the celebration together - decorating the house and cooking delicious dishes. And then we celebrate the New Year with the whole family, usually staying up all night.
And this year I hope that I will be able to visit the Carpathians. This has been my long-time dream - to spend the winter holidays at a ski resort, go skiing, and see with my own eyes the beauty of the mountains in winter.
Winter holidays provide an opportunity to take a break from school, communicate with loved ones and devote time to your favorite pastime. In winter, when it's frosty outside, I like to sit with a book by the window and listen to music. And when it snows, I go for a walk outside. Everything around is white, it seems that you are in a completely different dimension. It's so beautiful all around! You can go skating or sledding down a hill, or even play snowballs and make a snow woman. It's always fun for everyone - both children and adults.
Winter holidays are a wonderful time. It's a pity that they end quickly and we have to go back to school again. But the vivid impressions of a good time stay with us for a long time and brighten up the difficult everyday life of school.
My winter holidays were very interesting and fun, I simply had no time to be bored! When the winter holidays just started, it seemed to me that they would last a very long time. A lot of snow fell before the New Year, due to which the city was plunged into fairy tale. By this time, everything around was decorated with multi-colored garlands: store facades, city streets, and garlands also hung on the windows of houses. It happens that you stand at the window and look at the lights burning in neighboring houses.
For the New Year, all families decorate the Christmas tree. We, of course, were no exception. Grandmother took out old toys from a box that were more than a century old, but they were very well preserved. Every year we buy something new to complement our old toys. So on our Christmas tree you can find the most various decorations, both ancient toys that contain the memory and history of an entire century, and new multi-colored balls. We hang the garland not only on the Christmas tree, but also on the wall, as well as on the window, to evoke a holiday mood among passers-by. We also hang candies on the tree, I tie strings to them and beautifully distribute them around the tree.
During the winter holidays I spent a lot of time outside. My friends and I sculpted various fancy figures or ordinary snowmen with a carrot nose out of snow. We also went downhill and played snowballs. When it was too cold outside, we would gather at my house and play computer games, but this was not often.
I like the New Year itself because I don’t have to go to bed early. You can play and have fun half the night and no one will scold you for it. My parents and I go to the ice town on New Year’s Day, they always put up a big Christmas tree there, and in general it’s cool there - there are a lot of different ice figures that you can take pictures with, and big ice slides! Home to New Year's Eve We usually get back around three in the morning, but this night is always the most memorable of the year.
The winter holidays flew by very quickly, but they were very interesting and memorable. I talked a lot with relatives, went out with friends and was just happy New Year's holidays, thanks to which a special magical atmosphere reigned in the city.

On that day, when on the eve of the holiday, my mother was busy in the kitchen for a long time, and my father and I were decorating the Christmas tree, the doorbell suddenly rang. We were waiting for my grandparents, and so I ran to open the door. I looked through the peephole and couldn’t believe my eyes. They stood outside the door real Grandfather Frost in a red coat and with a huge beard, and next to him is the Snow Maiden with a blond braid. Why did I immediately think it was real, because the last time it was an unsuccessfully disguised dad. Everything turned out to be simpler than it could have been. Father Frost and Snow Maiden turned out to be actors who had the wrong apartment, but I still received the magic candy.
The first January days of the winter holidays turned out to be sunny and very frosty. These days it was great to walk outside and play various winter fun games. True, it was not possible to make a snowman, because in such frosts the snow turned out to be loose and not at all sticky. After such fun walks, it was especially nice to be at home, where my mother’s hot lunch was waiting for me. And in the evenings, dad and I read books and played Board games, which turned out to be much more interesting than a computer.
On one of the days of the winter holidays, our whole family visited the circus. To be honest, I didn’t really like it because I felt sorry for the animals. Another day, my mother and I went to the theater to see a play for schoolchildren; it turned out to be very interesting and not at all boring. This is how I spent the winter holidays, which, although not as long as the summer ones, were eventful and interesting. So now all we have to do is be patient and wait for spring and summer.

Winter is very good time of the year. Everything outside is white and white, nature seems to have frozen in anticipation of a miracle. And a miracle is the New Year holiday! Guests came to our home to celebrate the New Year. It was fun! After the clock struck 12, my friend and I went outside. We played snowballs, went down the slide and lit sparklers. Coming home, my friend and I were like snowmen. We stayed up until the morning and had fun all the time. The next day the guests left, but the festive mood remained.
I really liked the winter holidays, I had a good time: I walked a lot on the street, went ice skating, and went to visit my grandmother. But I didn't just play and have fun. During the holidays I practiced karate and passed the 6th kyu exam, now I have a green belt, and I also went to the Republican competitions, which took place in the village of Raevka. I also went to study English at the linguistic academy.

Winter is about to begin. My favorite season. Winter for me means a lot of snow, an ice skating rink and New Year. I can't wait for the winter holidays anymore. I can already imagine how I will sleep until lunch and not think about anything. It's nice to be at home in winter. Mom always prepares hot tea and fry hearty pancakes. Therefore, during the holidays I don’t have to leave the house. Maybe only in the evening, when the guys from the yard invite you to go for a walk. Now mom is thinking about what we should do for the New Year. We will celebrate at home. But we are planning to go to the skating rink to make a wish while the chimes strike. I really liked this idea, because we always just go to visit someone, and here we expect real fun. I also want to congratulate my friends, but that will be in the morning. I also make homemade gifts. I will make boxes and spoons from wood, and then I will paint them. It will turn out very beautiful. The main thing is that parents don’t see it. I love the New Year, because I can stuff myself with goodies like Olivier salad, caviar and drink children's champagne. And the next day watch your favorite films about the New Year. Plans for winter holidays
During the winter holidays I plan to go to my grandmother. In her village there are steep hills on which I will sled and ski. I also love warming myself on the stove. It is very nice. The guys with whom we will go fishing are already waiting for me in the village.
When I'm in town, I'll go to the skating rink. I know how to ride and want to learn more. Maybe I'll sign up for hockey at a local club. In the yard with the guys we play snowballs, build houses and shelters out of snow. In general, we spend a lot of time together, which is not always possible when you go to school. I also want to spend more time with my parents, who are always busy with their own affairs. You can play video games or chess with dad, and talk with mom. I appreciate this time while I have no worries. I'm looking forward to the holidays, because it's a time of miracles.
