A few seasons ago, detachable collars came into fashion. various models. They can be separate from the item with which they are combined, or attached to it using buttons or snaps. As a rule, according to the model, these are flat collars or stand-up collars. With this piece of clothing you can decorate and update your favorite sweater, blouse or dress. ? Today I want to introduce you to the process of sewing a round flat collar from faux fur.

For work we will need the following materials:

Artificial fur

Atlas

Nonwoven

Lace no more than 5 cm wide

Small clasp or hook

This pattern is the basis of a flat collar; you can change the width and shape of the collar if you wish. When you do paper template, be sure to try it on and adjust it to your neck circumference. Make the neckline the way you want.

We cut out the top of the collar from faux fur. I would like to note that fur always has a pile direction, and it will be more convenient and beautiful if the direction of the pile coincides with the vertical line of the front of the collar; when laid out on fabric, this is a split line, i.e., directed along the roll of fabric. In the photo, the direction of the lobar is shown by arrows.

We make 4 parts: 2 parts from fur (left and right collar) and 2 from satin fabric, respectively (you can take any fabric that matches the color, but not stretchy). We retreat 1 cm from the edge of the template on all sides.

Now we need to glue all the parts with non-woven fabric. Now big choice non-woven fabrics, choose one that is not very dense, so that the collar does not stick out, but is soft enough. In the photo, the interlining that I used is under the collar details. Our collar has a front and a back, do not forget to mark them so as not to be confused in the future. I am guided by the direction of the fractional one. Let me remind you that the direction of the lobar is indicated by arrows in the photo.

Another important point. I think that you will encounter it in the process of working with fur. When connecting the front and back parts of the collar, the fur will have to be placed with the pile inward and it will constantly move out. Therefore, having connected the left and right parts separately with the front sides, sweep them first.

Now stitch together the details, leaving the side of the neck open and then cut the fabric 0.5 cm from the edge, in rounded areas you can do a little more so that the finished edge of the collar lies smoother.

We turn both halves of our future collar inside out and sew a stitch along the front side of the lower parts of the collar close to the line of stitching the parts, capturing the allowance that we cut off. Iron both halves. Next, you need to cut off that centimeter along the neck line that we gave when cutting, since in this model the neck will be processed. If you want to make a collar with an internal seam along the neckline, then leave this allowance. Connect the parts of both halves along the neck with a stitch.

Align the centers of the front collar. Now we will sew on the lace, which must be stretch, otherwise you will not be able to lay it out. The width of the lace must be at least 2 cm, appearance to your taste. Using a centimeter, measure the total length of the neckline and add another 1 cm. Cut off the lace to the resulting length. Fold the lace right side up in half lengthwise and iron it.

Then we turn the edges of the lace inside out and stitch, retreating 0.5 cm from the edge. We turn the lace inside out and pin it to the neck, wrapping it on both sides. We make a line along the front side, preferably along the edge of the lace, so as not to disturb the design. If the edges of the lace are asymmetrical, then you will not be able to capture two sides of it with one stitch. You will need to sew the lace on the inside of the collar by hand. On the back half from the bottom I sewed small hooks for quality. Alternatively, it could be a small flat button with an air loop.

OK it's all over Now! Our collar is ready! Look how he decorated an ordinary blouse. I found 2 brooches in my household that, in my opinion, suited him very well.

Anyone can make a decorative removable collar. To begin with, you need to decide on desired shape collar and its style. Then we cut out the paper pattern and transfer the contours to the fabric. Any fabric for collars is suitable, but remember that parts for a collar made of thin fabrics must first be placed on non-woven fabric and a seam allowance must be added when cutting. It is better to cut out collars for full embroidery with beads and beads from felt, artificial leather or non-woven fabric ironed in 4-6 layers. If you are planning to make, for example, a satin collar with partial embroidery with beads, then you need to place the front part of the collar on several layers of non-woven fabric, sew on the beads, and only after that sew on the wrong side of the collar.

Below is a simple tutorial on how to make a removable leather collar. Two wide parts and two narrower parts are cut out of leather. Holes are made along the edges of the wide parts, then the inside of the narrow parts is coated with a thin layer of glue and glued to the inside of the wide parts. The front collar pieces are assembled using satin ribbon, pieces of chain with a lock are attached to the edges of the collar.

Any turn-down collar is cut from upper and lower parts. If the fastener of the product is located in the front, then the collar is represented by one solid part, and its ends are connected at the place of the cut for the fastener.

1. Attach the seal to the wrong sides of the top 2 collar pieces, right sides together. Line up the cut edges and pin all the top pieces to the loose bottom pieces. Baste parts of the collar, but leave the edges of the neckline free, remove the pins.
2. Run the machine along the outer edges of all collar pieces. If the fabric is thin, then set the stitching to small stitches. When strengthening each side of the corner, step back 1.5 cm from the top. If the fabric is a little thicker, then make a few stitches across the tops of the corners to blunt them a little. Remove the basting.
3. Trim seam allowances. At the bends, make “V” shaped cuts into them around the bends (top). On 2 sides of each corner, bevel the seam allowances diagonally and cut off the corners. If the stitching gathers, smooth out the collar seam as you move the presser foot.
4. Using a sleeve ironing board, press the seam, opening the seam allowances with the tip of the iron. For rounded sections of the collar, it is better to use a curved section of the board. The seam allowances should be pressed towards the bottom of the collar, and remember to press the stitching seam again section by section.
   
5. Machine stitch along the collar seam, working from the right side of the bottom collar piece, taking the seam allowance close to the seam line. If, due to the shape of the collar, you cannot sew the entire seam, then sew while you can.
6. Turn the collar pieces right side out. Turn out the corners using a needle with a thread folded in half and a knot tied at the end, first passing the needle inside and then pulling it back out.
7. Try using your finger to roll the seam a little, moving it towards the bottom piece. Press the offset seam edge by running the tip of the iron along the seam, section by section. Then iron the collar from the front side through the fabric to prevent unwanted shine from appearing.

If ironing does not hold the seam offset towards the bottom piece, pin the collar pieces along the edge of the neckline. Baste along the outer edge. Remove the basting from the finished product.

Most easy way sew on a turn-down flat collar - place it between the garment and the inner hem and stitch together. A turn-down flat collar made of one or two parts is sewn in the same way, except that the collar from the one-piece part is turned with its ends toward the middle of the front.

1. Before you start sewing on the collar, sew down the shoulder seams and sew the darts running towards the neckline. Attach the zipper. Mark the middle of the front with a pin.
2. For a collar consisting of 2 parts, baste along the neck line, connecting 2 layers of fabric. At the junction of the front ends of each collar piece, overlap them when basting.
3. The collar must be pinned to the front side of the product. The top of the collar piece should be at the top, the raw edges should be aligned, and the markings should be aligned. Place a point where the collar pieces intersect with a pin and baste the collar. Remove the pins.
4. Cut out the inner facing and pin it to the top part of the collar along the neck line, right side inward. Align the edges of the neckline. Leave 1/2 inch ends on each side of the zipper cut. Baste. Machine stitch along the neckline through all layers of fabric.
5. Remove the basting. Trim the seam allowances, leaving the seam allowance on the product side a little wider. Trim the corners of the facing seam allowances diagonally at the cut area at the shoulder seams and at the back. Make “V” shaped cuts along the curves, making them more frequently in the more curved areas.

To make your own charming decoration, you will need:

• Atlas.

Important! You can use the same materials to change the shape and width of the product. When drawing the pattern, be sure to take into account the circumference of the neck. This is necessary so that the collar on the dress fits perfectly with your own hands.

The upper part of the product is made of fur. In accordance with the pattern, cut out the details:

• 2 fur parts.
• 2 parts made of satin.

Important! When cutting out parts, step back 1 cm in all directions.

Operating procedure:
