    30.07.2021

Each country has special holidays that have their own customs and traditions. In Russia there are also such dates. And each of them is important for our population. Of course, time makes its own adjustments to the life of every person. As a result, something is forgotten, something changes, and new dates come and appear. In particular, such famous holiday, how May 1 is little understood by modern children. But their parents still remember those moments when she attended May Day demonstrations and parades. At the same time, slogans sounded there - “Peace! Work! May!".

Today we can put these memories aside. And May Day may turn out to be a good spring tradition, when you can have a great time free time with my family. In this case, you can go to nature, and if the weather outside is not very good, then you can make crafts for May 1st with your own hands at home.

    Craft ideas

    May Day brooch.

Previously, May Day was considered the most happy holiday. He was very bright and contained a lot of goodness. This day personified the spring mood and conveyed all the riot of colors.

The May Day brooch combines precisely these qualities. To make it you will need a square of thick cardboard, onto which a pin is attached on the back side. Reverse side brooches are decorated with flowers, which are made from colored paper. This craft will be completed with a flyer in the form of the flag of our country. If you don’t have such a ribbon, you can use the St. George’s ribbon. This brooch can be worn in honor of the May 9 parade. Well, if there is no such ribbon, then you can simply decorate the brooch with a beautiful satin ribbon.

It is worth noting that children's crafts are incredibly interesting to do in May. That's why creative activities At this time, the children are happy to attend both school and kindergarten. Moreover, this activity will captivate children at home.

So, take a blank album sheet for the applique and draw a design on it that will correspond to the holiday. This could be, for example, a twig of an apple tree or a dove. However, in this case, you do not need to color the drawing with ordinary pencils. It's good to use a bottle. This item will help you make a drawing in the form of stamps.

Using, bottom plastic bottle you can make delicate apple blossoms. To make such flowers, you need to pour a little paint onto a flat surface. Then simply dip the bottom of the bottle in paint and place it on a clean sheet of paper. As a result, you will get a flower that will have 5 petals and a core. Such flowers can be placed on an entire sheet of paper.

Of course, your drawing cannot be complete without: twigs, stems and leaves. These details are depicted with paints and brushes. And if your child is very small, then they will come to the rescue Finger paint.

The final stage of creating a postcard is beautiful inscription“May 1!”, which is also done with a brush.

    Application.

Crafts in May are also done in kindergarten. And the following idea was created just for little kids. The applique is incredibly easy to make. This activity is also considered incredibly exciting. First you need a base. It could be a sheet of cardboard of any color. Any figure can be cut out of it.

Now you should think about decorating this figurine. In this case, you can cut out various things from colored paper: flowers, leaves and everything that goes into decorating your craft.

Before gluing these products, you just need to attach them to the workpiece, and then glue them with glue. Finally, it is worth gluing a ribbon, which will be a symbol of May 1st.

    Another application option.

Above was an application that is simple in execution. So the kids can handle it younger age. The next application option is a more complex option. But with some effort, you can get such a beautiful dove.

To make it, you need to transfer your palm print onto a white sheet of paper. You will need 2 such blanks. They are connected to each other and used in decoration as symbols of peace and goodness.

    Volumetric dove of peace.

To create the next dove, you need thick cardboard. It is from this that the silhouette of a dove should be cut out. You will also need another sheet of paper that folds like an accordion. A slit is made in the dove in the middle of the silhouette. An accordion is inserted into it.

Slots are made along the edges of the accordion to indicate the feathers of the bird. Also use a stapler to attach the wings to the bird's body. A wire is inserted into the slot so that you can hang your bird. Let the child independently draw the eyes for the bird, as well as the beak.

Each country has its own holidays - special and special days, in which certain memorable events are celebrated, following certain traditions and familiar rituals. However, time always makes its own adjustments: something is forgotten, something recedes into the shadows, something new comes along, replacing the measured order of actions. So, for example, the holiday of May 1 is already unfamiliar and incomprehensible to modern children, while their parents happily went to May Day demonstrations and parades, chanting slogans - “Peace! Work! May!".

However, even if we leave aside the memories of the holiday of the unity of all workers, May Day can become an excellent spring tradition for family recreation in nature. It will also be great if you and your children try to make a variety of crafts with your own hands for May 1st.

Spring crafts for joint creativity for children and adults

The May 1st holiday has always been very cheerful, bright and kind, therefore crafts made on its theme should be colorful, personifying spring itself and its mood, conveying the diversity and riot of colors of blooming nature.

Creative ideas can be embodied in any way: you can make postcards, appliqués, and other paper products with your own hands (following the May Day theme, you should use spring flowers in the design, a dove - a symbol of peace, etc.). Also beautiful crafts are obtained from napkins, fabric, plasticine and other materials.

The most important thing is to choose a central accent and come up with the shape of the future product, because in such spring work everything is quite concise and simple.

Several ideas for making May Day crafts

Among the most favorite and simple children's products that are easy to make with your own hands are paper postcards. There are many variations of them.

    • You can draw something on the blank postcard on the May Day theme - a dove, spring flowers, an apple tree branch. It will be very interesting if the drawing is done in the form of stamps. For example, delicate and beautiful flower blanks can be made using the bottom of a plastic bottle (you just need to pour a little paint of the desired color into some container and, dipping the bottom of the plastic bottle into it, put stamps on the paper or cardboard blank - you should get five-petal small flowers with a center). Then you can finish painting stems, twigs, and leaves with brushes. And if the child is small, try using finger paints to add all the necessary details to the drawing. Finish the card with a beautiful themed message.
    • You can also make any applique on a paper card. This is also very simple. For such a product, you just need to cut out the figures you need from colored paper or cardboard: the sun, balls, flowers, birds, etc. Arrange them as desired on the front side of the postcard blank and stick it on. Finally, you can attach a ribbon as another symbol of the May 1st holiday.

    • The application can be more complicated. For example, if you make a mosaic from multi-colored sawdust along the drawn contours. To make the product beautiful and neat, use thin wooden skewers to apply sawdust, first coating the contours with glue.

    • If you cut out and paste many patterns of dove figures or children's hands, you will get a wonderful three-dimensional applique postcard with symbols of peace and goodness of the May Day holiday. Moreover, children love to play with their handprints.
    • In addition, you can make a dove of peace in the form of a postcard, pendant or just a souvenir. To do this, you need to cut out the silhouette of a dove from thick paper or cardboard (if you are planning a postcard, then make a double blank). To make a hanging craft, take another sheet of paper and fold it like an accordion. Then you will need to make a small slot in the middle of the dove’s silhouette and insert your accordion there (pay attention that there are “wings” of the same length on both sides of the dove). Next, use small cuts along the edges of the accordion to mark the feathers of the bird, and to prevent the wings from falling off, attach them to the body of the pigeon with a stapler. A wire is inserted into the slot and connected into a ring, from which the dove can be hung.

Everyone's favorite May holidays are approaching. And even though they took away 9 days off from the people, we will still go to nature on the 1st or 2nd, and with pleasure on the 9th. And these days are also a great opportunity to have a lot of fun with your children, making something or just for your home. After all, every thing becomes loved if you put work, love and a little creative ingenuity into it.

Today we invite you to transform an ordinary (in our case half-liter) jar into vase for dried flowers or pencil holder(We in the family have yet to agree on the purpose of this vessel 😛).

What do we need for our May craft??

    1. Half-liter jar 1 pc.

    2. Wide molar brush – 1 pc.

    3. PVA glue.

    4. Semolina.

    5. Acrylic or gouache paints

    6. Paint brushes

    7. Finishing varnish (I used puzzle glue).

    8. Napkins (to wipe surfaces, and at the same time children’s hands).

So, let's start making our crafts for May 1st.

    1. Thoroughly degrease the jar to ensure good affinity with other materials.

    2. We begin to cover the jar with glue. PVA glue is quite thick, so this is easy to do.

    3. Sprinkle a little semolina onto clean paper. Let your child roll the can over the semolina. The cereal will evenly adhere to the glue. I also glued the bottom, but, as practice has shown, this is not effective. Therefore, it is better to leave the bottom clean. Moreover, it is practically invisible.

    4. Are the grains stuck? Shake the May craft a little and let the extra particles fall off. Look through the product - if there are places that are not “clogged” with the grain background, treat them locally with glue and sprinkle with semolina.

    5. The most interesting moment is the decor. 😉 Since our theme is May, I remembered funny demonstrations with balloons soaring into the sky, grass, spring mood, that’s why we drew these very scenes on the can. First I drew the outlines, then my child and I painted them over with paint.

    6. Then I let the child paint the jar the way she wanted. She finished drawing the “balls” as best she could, made grass, and together we drew strings for the balls. This made the craft only brighter.

    7. The last step - I waited until the glue and paints dried, and covered our craft for the May holidays with a finishing layer. I used glue for puzzles, but a good one will work just fine for this. clear varnish. An excellent option is a spray can, so you definitely won’t get anything smeared.

    This is what we got!

I hope that yours too crafts for the May holidays in kindergarten were a great success!

And this is how we will congratulate veterans on Victory Day this year - 😛
