Winter bouquets are good because you can use a huge variety of materials to make them. Traditionally, these are spruce or fir branches, you can also use artificial ones, nuts or shells, pine cones, dried citrus peels, Christmas tree decorations and tinsel, as well as anything that your imagination allows. The main thing is that the winter bouquet is beautiful and does not stray from the general theme.
This one will be for kindergarten It is very simple to make, and the whole family can take part in its production.
What we need for the bouquet:
- twigs (spruce, fir, pine, artificial branches);
- cones and nuts;
- Styrofoam;
- floral sponge;
- beads, bugles or seed beads;
- artificial roses.
The first thing we do is cut out the foam for the stand. If your foam is too thin, it is better to glue it in several layers. The width and height of the stand depends on how much weight your branches have and how tall they are; the branches should not outweigh the base. On average, a stand with a width of 20-25 cm and a height of 15-17 cm looks good.
Once the stand is cut out, we move on to cutting a hole inside it. We will need it to insert a floral sponge into it. If you have artificial branches, you can do without a floral sponge. It is needed so that the branches stay green longer and do not fall off. And so we carefully cut a hole in the foam and cut out a sponge according to the shape of this hole. Wet the sponge in water and insert it into the hole.
The foam must be draped. To do this, you can cover it with paper tape and wrap it in New Year's tinsel, but we used green floral sisal for these purposes. Sisal can be secured using pieces of tape or a regular stapler.
The stand is decorated, let's move on to working with the branches. Carefully insert them one by one into the floral sponge and do not move them from place to place. We do not loosen the recesses in which we placed the branches, otherwise they will not sit firmly. Next to the branches we insert a branch with roses and turn the flowers in the direction we need. If spruce branches and roses are leaning, you can stick a stick of a matching color nearby and tie the branches to it using beads. Much like tying up tomatoes in greenhouses.
The branches are installed, add beads or threads with beads to them.
And lastly, we decorate the top of our stand with cones and nuts. Special attention It is worth paying attention to the base of the branches and the side in which our roses are facing. Once all the nuts and pine cones are attached, add some beads, beads or glitter to them to make them look more festive.

Bouquet with Christmas balls
This bouquet is perfect for a school competition. It is simple to make, but looks very impressive and festive. Your child will be pleased to show off this composition to his classmates.

- cellophane;
- sand;
- branches of a coniferous tree, thuja or any similar tree;
- glue;
- Christmas tree rain;

To make a wreath from toys, we need to twist two circles from medium-hard wire, one larger circle, one smaller circle. The circles are fastened together with wire. When the circles are fastened together, you need to drape them. To do this, we tightly braid our structure with tinsel and rain. The last step is to add toys to the wreath. Each toy has a little thing by which it is hung on the Christmas tree. It is with this little thing that we will screw our balls to the wreath frame using wire.
Small toys and various beads are glued to the wreath with glue. Our winter bouquet is ready. Surprisingly, we made this beauty with our own hands.

The choice is very wide, at least in Moscow. No less popular are branches of thuja and other evergreen conifers: yew, cypress, juniper. More often they are used as an additive to the main ones, although no one forbids using them as base ones.
Evergreen deciduous plants. Their use is not widespread in our country; this tradition comes from the West. First of all, it is holly with beautiful carved white and green leaves and ivy. Notable are the eucalyptus and round leaves(especially blue), ficus benjamina and boxwood.
Flowers in winter bouquets
The most famous flower in a classic winter bouquet is the Christmas star, or poinsettia. Poinsettia comes in different colors - burgundy, white, light green, but the most popular, of course, is red. In winter, this flower in a pot can be bought in Ikea, Auchan, Obi, and it is inexpensive. Artificial poinsettias are also sold in different sizes and types - on stems, in bouquets, in garlands. The tradition of using this plant is also borrowed from the West. The Christmas star, as its second name suggests, is more suitable for New Year's compositions and home decoration for Christmas.
If your bouquet should have a winter theme without New Year's paraphernalia, it is better to resort to other colors. It is worth choosing those that are available in any season, for example, roses, lilies, orchids. The flowers of late autumn and the first snow - chrysanthemums - deserve attention. Flowers with large inflorescences, such as peony and hydrangea, will look interesting. The shade of the petals should be cold (the exception here is, perhaps, only roses): white, gray, blue, light blue or violet. Look at the pictures of winter bouquets below.
Cones and berries in winter compositions
When you need to convey the winter atmosphere flower arrangement, our cones and berries best helpers. I plan to write a separate publication about cones, because I can talk about them for a very long time. Most often in pictures of winter bouquets you will see pine cones - of different sizes, natural, painted, covered with artificial snow. This is due to the fact that most of the pictures come to us from Western sites. In the works of domestic florists, spruce cones, larch and even cedar cones are no less popular. So don’t hesitate to use them in your creativity, they have the same decorative properties as pine ones.
As for berries, difficulties often arise with them. In our latitudes in nature, it is quite difficult to find beautiful berry branches - of the trees and shrubs available to us, probably only rowan meets the given requirements. Yes, and at flower centers there are “interruptions” with them. So I advise you to use artificial ones. Any florist store has at least several varieties of such berry branches.
The most attractive combination with coniferous paws is provided by red berries. If you need to “cool” the composition a little, take blue ones (see the very first photo); if you need to “freeze” it, take white ones (photo below). The so-called “frosted” berries covered with artificial snow with sparkles look beautiful.
Natural materials
In winter and New Year's compositions, eco-style is now especially popular, implying the use of other types of flowers along with pine cones. natural materials– tree bark, dry twigs, bunches of moss. In addition to them, in order to increase the decorativeness of the bouquet, the package includes dried oranges, cinnamon sticks and cotton bolls. And among the so-called “exotics”, lotus fruits, bell caps and “cedar rose” are at their peak.
Dried oranges for New Year's floristry come in orange and green and are found in two types - whole dried fruits with longitudinal slits and in the form of slices. Due to their brightness and decorativeness, they enjoy great recognition.
Every year the fashion for cotton in winter bouquets continues. This topic captivated the people so much that, unable to cope with demand, Chinese manufacturers produced artificial cotton. Outwardly, it is practically no different from the real thing (if you are not an expert), but it is made like this: the boxes themselves are left natural, the cotton is removed from them and replaced with synthetic wool. I believe that this is a completely suitable product that does not require extra financial costs.
Not everyone knows how to use cinnamon. According to my observations, many needlewomen simply stick it into compositions; it looks like needles on a hedgehog. A design approach that delivers more visual effect– collect cinnamon sticks in bundles of 3-5 sticks, tying them with natural raffia or jute rope. A bunch of cinnamon garnished with an anise star looks very stylish.
Lotus fruits and other exotic dried flowers are often tinted. Most often in white or gold. Lotus comes in two types - boxes standard size, about 7 cm, and the so-called mini lotus 2-3 cm in diameter. Both types find their use in winter bouquets, both together and separately.
Additional decor
One important aspect that needs to be taken into account when creating winter compositions is lighting conditions. In winter there is very little daylight, and with artificial light everything seems gloomy. To avoid this, add to your winter bouquet bright accents: dry twigs painted gold, silver or white with glitter. Gold or silver painted cones and other dried flowers, leaves and berries with glitter, shiny balls. If the composition is New Year’s, bells, bells, decorative “gifts” are suitable, Christmas decorations, tartan bows.
A favorite technique of florists is to treat the finished bouquet (or a separate part of it) with a special “snow” spray, white floral paint, clear varnish with sparkles. Varnishes will add shine to the composition; in my opinion, the most interesting effect under artificial lighting is given by “multicolor” varnish, although everything is individual and depends on the composition and style of the product.

Just give free rein to your imagination and collect all the materials that pique your interest in the field, on the street, summer cottage. To make the bouquet look more interesting, place the flowers at different angles and at different heights. This bouquet will look spectacular in an ordinary vase.
2. If you want to create a New Year’s bouquet, you can use a vine or interestingly shaped driftwood as a basis. You can attach plants to a piece of polystyrene foam, plasticine or a “pillow” of moss. This bouquet can be supplemented with branches of coniferous trees and shrubs, fresh flowers, dry roots, and rosehip branches. When the bouquet is ready, do not forget to choose a place for it away from direct sunlight.
3. Great idea— create a winter bouquet of pine cones. All you need for this is 20 cones, silver-plated dry branches (you can use a special floral spray), wire or bamboo sticks, brown tape, velvet or satin ribbons in two colors, a white scarf or a piece of organza. We place cones on wire or bamboo sticks. We decorate each “stem” of the cone with tape, and then form a round bouquet from the cones. We wrap all the stems together with tape. Next, decorate the cones in a circle with silver branches and secure them again with tape. Afterwards, the bouquet must be wrapped in a piece of white fabric and secured with a stapler or rubber band. That's it, the bouquet is almost ready, the only thing left for us is to decorate it with velvet ribbons. If you wish, you can add red berries or small fresh flowers to the bouquet, wrap several cones in pieces of tulle, add cotton pom-poms or cinnamon sticks to the bouquet.
Winter bouquet created with my own hands, will fill your home with the colors that are so lacking in winter.
