How to make a paper snowman, video

A paper snowman craft can become original New Year's gift or just a touching home decoration. This video presents a master class on how to create such a small paper “miracle” - watch and create!

Excellent New Year's decoration is on the Christmas tree volumetric snowman from paper. It is beautiful, funny, the child will love making it, and then playing and proudly showing it to all the guests.

The work itself is very easy, especially if you have a special composter with which you can quickly cut out many circles. But even without it there is nothing complicated, since this craft is made of paper, not cardboard, it can be folded in several layers and many circles can be cut out at once.

What will you need to create a snowman?

    • White paper.
    • Just a little orange for the nose and blue for the scarf.
    • Glue stick, scissors, black felt-tip pen, pencil.
    • A compass or any object with a round part. For example, a glass.

How to make a snowman out of paper?

First you need to draw a snowman on a sheet of white paper. That is, one lower circle is larger, and the one on top is smaller. To do this, you can use a glass: its top and bottom.

Fold the paper in half and cut out two snowmen according to your own design. Glue a thin strip of paper bent into a loop onto one of them. More the best option– white ribbon, braid, thick thread or decorative shiny one.

Glue two snowmen into one. Cut out 18 circles from white paper, exactly the same size as the bottom of the snowman you drew.

Fold each circle in half, count and set aside half of the circles, that is 9.

Glue 9 circles together, half to half.

And then separately glue 9 more. You will get two rounded resemblances of an accordion.

Glue to the bottom of the snowman. One “accordion” on the front of the circle, and the second on the back. Draw the eyes, cut out a circle from orange paper and glue on the nose. It turns out funny if you replace the paper spout with a round piece of foam rubber or a small orange pompom.

Cut a thin strip of blue paper to serve as a scarf. Tie it around the snowman's neck.

Alternatively, the scarf can be made of thick thread or suitable fabric. I found my daughter's hair tie, cut it and made a scarf. It seemed more natural and more stable to me.

The voluminous paper snowman is completely ready; it can be used to decorate not only a Christmas tree, but also your home, for example, hang it on a cabinet door or a large flower in the house. And if you don’t add a loop, then all horizontal surfaces, since the snowman holds perfectly in a vertical position.

Another option for crafts for the Christmas tree is.

A cheerful three-dimensional snowman made of paper will decorate your Christmas tree during the New Year holidays. Craft for kids, kids can do it too kindergarten senior or preparatory group, and, of course, younger schoolchildren who will be able to make such a snowman on their own, even without the help of adults. If you don’t yet have a single handmade Christmas tree decoration, let’s do it urgently, the New Year is already close!

    Master class paper snowman

This is the snowman and this is how he will show off on your Christmas tree :)

To make a three-dimensional snowman, we will need: white paper, pencil, compass, scissors, glue, markers, string or thin ribbon, beads.

On a piece of paper, using a compass, draw 2 circles on top of each other, one slightly smaller than the other. You should get the body of a snowman along with his head (the circles are “moulded”), like his silhouette. And we also draw 16 circles of exactly the same diameter as the bottom circle in the snowman’s body. To make your work easier, you can fold a sheet of white paper in half 3 times, draw 2 circles and cut out in this folded form. We will just get 16 circles - 8 for one half of the ball, 8 for the second.

We fold the rope in half and glue it to the silhouette detail. Glue the second part of the silhouette on top so that the rope is inside the snowman. We decorate the ends of the rope with beads. For now, we put this finished part of the snowman aside.

Let's take circles. Fold each circle in half. Glue 2 circles together, placing the halves next to each other. Then glue the next circle in the same way and so on 8 circles. You will get half a ball. Similarly, from the remaining circles we make the second half of the ball.

We glue the first half of the ball to one side of the snowman’s body, turn it over backwards, glue the second half of the ball, we get a round body.

    Description of the Master class:

    Mystery

They didn't raise him, they made him out of snow

Instead of a nose, they cleverly inserted a carrot,

Eyes are coals, lips are bitches.

    Cold big.

    Who is he? (Snowman)

For work we need: 1 sheet of white paper, size A 4 (for making the head), 1 sheet of white paper, size A 3- (for making the body - middle lump), 2 sheets of white paper, size A 3 (for making the largest bottom lump), ½ sheet of paper format A 4-2 pcs (for making handles), a square of orange colored paper 8x8 cm (for the carrot nose), a rectangle of red colored paper 4x15 cm (for making a bucket for the head), a strip of blue colored paper 1x18 cm (for a scarf), glue white PVA (for gluing parts), felt-tip pens, fabric napkin.

And also desire, patience, inspiration, imagination and a pair of skillful hands.

The craft making process consists of four main stages.

Stage 1. Preparing paper for making crafts, that is, creasing.

Stage 2. Forming volumetric parts (lumps) from prepared paper. By folding and tucking all corners and sides inward to form a ball.

Stage 3. Represents the assembly of parts, gluing.

Stage 4. Final. Decorating crafts and adding details to create the intended image.

But before you start making crafts, you need to stretch your hands and prepare them for work.

    Finger gymnastics

    We'll take some snow

We make snowballs in our palms.

    (slapping with turning hands)

    They threw them together

    (we rush)

    Our hands warmed up.

    Now it's time to create

    Sculpt a snow woman.

They rolled along, lump after lump

(stroking the palms of the hands in a circular motion)

    They hoisted one after another

(hands in fist one at a time, one at a time, alternately)

    Third small lump on top

The snow was shaken off my hands later

    (shaking hands).

Let's start preparing the paper to make the largest ball, for the snowman. To do this, take a white sheet of A3 paper, crumple it into a ball, then unfold it, smooth it with your palms, returning the original shape of the sheet. Next, we crumple the sheet into a ball and squeeze it tightly in a fist with one hand, then with the other hand, unfold it and smooth it out. We repeat this procedure several times so that the sheet becomes soft and pliable.

We prepare the second A3 sheet in the same way, since the bottom one is the largest and to make it we will need two A3 sheets.

We have prepared the paper, now we need to form a ball out of it. To do this, take a sheet of crumpled paper and begin to tuck all the corners and sides inward. We squeeze it in a fist, thus forming a ball (lump).

And to make the lump more voluminous, we take this ball, place it on a second prepared sheet of paper and wrap it around the ball, tucking in the corners and sides in the same way. We form a lump for the bottom largest part of the snowman.

When the bottom lump is ready, you can begin making the second (middle) lump. To do this, take the same A3 sheet, crumple it and form a ball, also tucking the corners and sides inward.

Now we need to form the smallest lump (the snowman's head). We take a sheet of white A4 paper and, similarly to the previous ones, prepare the paper and form a ball.

Now all that remains is to make arms for our snowman. To do this, take ½ sheet of paper and form a ball, then a second one. We get 2 small lumps - the “handles” of the snowman.

From a square of orange colored paper, we form a nose - a carrot, in the shape of a cone.

All the blanks are ready - this is a large bottom lump, a middle lump, a snowman's head, 2 handles and a spout.

Now we move on to the next stage of work, that is, assembling parts and gluing parts.

To do this, take the largest one (the bottom lump) and apply PVA glue to the very center of it, put the middle lump on it and firmly press one lump to the other to better glue it.

Glue the head in the same way.

All that remains is to attach the handles to the snowman; we will glue them to the side of the body on the middle lump.

On the eve of the New Year holidays, every family tries to decorate their home as original and beautiful as possible. Children, like no one else, are waiting for the arrival of the New Year and will be happy to help you make holiday preparations. Today we offer you interesting master class on making DIY snowman crafts from various materials.

    Paper snowman craft

You can make a cute paper snowman with your preschool child. To do this you will need paper (preferably for quilling), cotton wool, tweezers, a sheet of cardboard and glue.

    1. We cut white paper into thin strips of equal width. We twist two large rolls from these strips: the head and the body. To make large rolls you will need up to 10 strips; each new strip should be glued to the workpiece with glue. Glue two rolls together.
    2. To make a snowman's hat, we roll up a large roll of multi-colored stripes, then give the roll the shape of a hat by bending it with your finger. We glue the cap inside for reliability.
    3. On a wide strip yellow color cut the fringe and twist it into a bubo shape. Glue the bubo and the cap together.
    4. We twist a nose from a small red strip and glue on eyes made from two beads. Paper snowman ready!

    Craft snowman from threads

A children's snowman craft made from threads will decorate any New Year's celebration. From a minimum of materials it turns out to be simply extraordinarily beautiful and original craft. To begin, take 5 balloons, PVA glue in a plastic package and a large needle. Let's pierce the bottle of glue with a needle and thread so that the thread with which you will subsequently wrap the balls is in the glue. Let's inflate Balloons: three for the body and two small ones for the arms. We wrap each ball with threads like balls. Let the balls dry overnight. Then we pierce the balls inside our balls with a needle and take them out. We connect our balls with glue; the sides that will be adjacent to each other can be slightly flattened. From colored paper we make the snowman’s nose, eyes and decorate with accessories. Our snowman is ready!

Craft a snowman from cotton wool

A snowman craft made from cotton wool can be made as a souvenir for the Christmas tree or small gift. We take a piece of cotton wool and, with soapy hands, roll it into two balls of different diameters: for the head and torso. Let our balls dry, and at this time we dilute PVA glue with water in the proportions: 1 part water and 2 parts glue. You can add glitter to the glue. Lubricate our lumps with glue and let them dry. To make a carrot for the nose, you need to tightly wrap cotton wool around a toothpick, coat it with a thin layer of glue, remove it and paint it orange. We connect the body and head using a toothpick previously soaked in glue. We glue eyes to the snowman, insert hands and decorate the resulting craft with accessories.

Craft a snowman from plastic cups

In order to make a snowman craft as tall as a preschool child, you need to stock up free time, a little patience and invite a cheerful little helper. Pre-cook 300 plastic cups of the same shape and a stapler with a full package of No. 10 staples. When choosing cups, pay attention to the fact that the narrower the rim of the glass, the better they fit together.
