• Warmer on the teapot in the form. Beautiful soft fabric vase, ball, cup and teapot

    Warmers for teapot.

    The ancient custom of covering the teapot with special dolls has survived to this day. Interestingly, the dolls have not changed much. We offer you several new versions of the old invention.

    Heating pads, despite some differences, are made according to the same principle, using which in the future you can invent and make your own.

    The basis of any heating pad is a cover. Its pattern can be the most diverse, however, the process of making the cover is the same for all models. From any dense fabric, open the two outer parts of the cover. Sew them together along the ABC line with a seam over the edge. Cut out exactly the same two parts and sew from flannel. You have got the outer and inner parts of the case. Now turn both pieces right side up and fold as shown. Cut out two spacers from thin foam rubber according to the shape of the cover, insert them inside the outer part and sew, as far as possible, the inner and outer covers together along the AOB line. Insert the inner part of the cover into the remaining hole and straighten it so that there is foam rubber between the parts on both sides. Now sew up the hole with a "blind seam", and the cover for the heating pad is ready.

    Covers for heating pads "Cow", "Lion" and "Cat" are made according to one pattern.

    PATTERNS FOR EXTERIOR DETAILS OF A HEATER COVER ON A TEAPOT

    Source: M. Kalinich, L. Pavlovskaya, V. Savinykh "Needlework for children"

    Sometime in 1996, I came across an original teapot heating doll in a store. A few years later, in one of the needlework magazines, I came across a similar model. I will present it to you. Based on this model, I then created a series of heating pads dedicated to the symbols of the year according to the Chinese horoscope. I made all the patterns arbitrarily, the main thing is that the size of the teapot (they are also different).

    From a light chintz measuring 50x80 cm, we will make a blank for a warmer skirt. We fold the fabric in half and put a strip of batting (synthetic winterizer) inside in several layers, size 24x79

    This blank must be quilted for the strength and stability of the skirt. We sew and get a bell skirt.

    From dense knitwear, or other suitable fabric, we cut out 2 parts of the head-torso of the Monkey. For each detail, first we sew a dress, lace.

    Only then we sew the halves, turn them inside out, stuff them with batting through the bottom seam and sew them up.
    We sew ears to the head-torso. We sew long hands, we stuff them loosely, we sew the palm, marking the fingers with seams. We sew sleeves from small rectangles, decorate them with lace, collect the sleeve with a thread at the place of sewing to the body. We sew the sleeves together with the hand. The torso is sewn to the warmer skirt. We decorate the muzzle. From loose yarn we make a hairstyle. We cut out the mouth from a large oval, collect it with a thread around the perimeter, tighten it and stuff the resulting lump with cotton. We sew a muzzle with a secret seam. We embroider the mouth, and with beads we denote the nostrils. From beads - eyes.

    Now we need to sew the top skirt. We take a rectangular piece of chintz 28x85 cm, sew on lace, braid, an apron decorated with different braids, sew the skirt, turning the top edge 1.5 cm in order to insert the ribbon later. We put the skirt on top and pull the tape into beautiful bow behind the doll.

    It would be nice to give the doll a name and embroider it on the apron. This gives her a special charm.

    If you dream up, you can sew other dolls, for example, a Pig.

    Do-it-yourself heating pad for a teapot

    The order of work when sewing a heating pad on a teapot, regardless of model, is almost always the same. The basis of any model differs only in configuration and additional details, such as: apron, hat, bows and the like. For any warmer on the kettle, you need a main fabric, lining, synthetic winterizer, various braid, threads, buttons, patterns.
    We cut out the main fabric, lining fabric and synthetic winterizer according to the pattern, having previously folded the fabric with the front side inward.

    Warmer for kettle PEACOCK

    First of all, we decorate the cut out main part, that is, we sew on a bright braid. You can sew on multi-colored patches to imitate the colorful tail of a peacock. We sew together the synthetic winterizer and the lining of the heating pad, insert it into the tail and process the edge.

    For the body of a bird, a plain fabric is best suited. We cut out according to the pattern, sew on the wrong side, turn it on the front side and carefully fill it with padding polyester. It is not necessary to fill it tightly with synthetic winterizer. We cut out the beak from the skin and sew it to the head of the peacock. We determine the place for the eye and sew on the button. We sew a crest on the top of the bird. It can be made from lurex braid. Now we connect the body of the peacock with the tail, we fix the head with a few stitches.

    Heating pad for teapot MOUSE

    The basis of the heating pad is a mouse dress. First of all, we cut out boots 4 details. After stitching and turning it on the front side, we fill it with padding polyester. We sew boots into the dress of the mouse when processing the edge of the heating pad. When the dress is almost ready, we sew a frill made of fabric or lace along the edge.

    Mouse head: Cut out 4 details of the ears, sew in pairs, turn inside out and along the front side Lay a line along the edge of the ears. We cut out 2 details of the muzzle of the mouse, put the ears between them and sew. We turn it inside out, fill it with padding polyester, sew up the hole. Hair - from any thread, we braid pigtails, tie bows. Next, sew on a button-nose (or embroider with black thread), freckles (beads), button eyes. Finished head sew to the body dress.

    Heating pad for kettle CAT or CAT

    The torso of a cat is simply a cap with a frill of fabric or lace.

    Cat's head: Cut out 2 parts of the head, sew, turn inside out, fill with padding polyester, sew up the hole. We cut out the mustache from the cloth. We cut out an overlay for the muzzle, collect it on a strong thread around the perimeter, fill it with padding polyester and sew it to the muzzle along with the mustache and tongue. Sew on the button nose and eyes. Sew the head to the body. You can sew a tail on the cat, and decorate the head with a hat.

    We all love to drink real fragrant tea from a teapot with sweets or pies. To make the tea stronger (some people like this “thick”), the tea stays hot for a long time, there are heating pads for the kettle.

    For those who know how to use sewing machine, do do-it-yourself heating pad for teapot from the fabric will be quite easy. It can be both sewn and knitted.

    At the samovar, me and my Masha
    We will drink tea as a bite until the morning ...

    What you need to sew a heating pad made of fabric on a teapot

    In order for the tea leaves in the kettle to remain hot for a long time, a heater is needed inside. The insulation is usually batting or synthetic winterizer.

    You will also need some lining (preferably natural fabric, it will be in direct contact with a hot kettle, I used fabric from bed linen), as well as the main beautiful fabric itself.

    Well, it’s still nice to have a sewing machine of any model, then things will go much faster! AND the right attitude- you must be sure that everything will turn out very cool!

    Here is a pattern of my heating pad (without seam allowances) for a teapot in full size, if I may say so:

    It should be noted that there is no universal heating pad pattern for all teapots. Because such dishes are sometimes produced in completely different sizes and bizarre shapes. Everyone has her own. The task is for the cover to cover the entire brewer as a whole and to be put on without tension, freely. At the same time, it should not be too large.

    So if you have two teapots, one small and the other large, very different in size, then it is better to sew a heating pad for each. Since I have several, but almost the same, only the height is different, I sewed one for everyone, if necessary, I simply fold the bottom inward and the cover becomes shorter.

    To sew the simplest, we will make the scheme in the form of a rectangle, perhaps with rounded edges to make it beautiful. To estimate how much fabric will go, how it will need to be cut out, you need to take two measurements with a centimeter.

    How best to do this is described in a couple of paragraphs below, and a formula is also given for constructing a pattern, taking into account seam allowances.

    If you want to get an interesting original kitchen heater, you are ready to spend Extra time, then you can make a heating pad for a teapot in the shape of an animal - chickens, pussies, cows, lions, owls - the scope of imagination is great. It is only necessary to make an additional head (sewn to the body, i.e. to the heating pad itself at the top side) and a tail (sewn into the seam). For a cow, cat, dog, this form is suitable.

    If you have time, desire, then you can sew such a chicken (or cockerel) on a sewing machine with your own hands. It consists of many small double-sided parts, inside each, even a very small element, there is an insulating gasket inside, some parts are simply stuffed with synthetic wool or what you have at home - finely chopped unnecessary shreds, insulation from old jacket etc. (no one will ever look inside these fragments, everything will remain inside).

    The size can also be reduced or increased depending on the size of the brewer.

    If you want to make a slightly different shape of the body, then you can, for example, increase this pattern in height - make the top round or elongated upwards - this is how you can make a chicken or a sitting cat, the head will be in the middle. If desired, you can sew on the paws or just mark them with a line.

    Warmer cow under Khokhloma

    My first thought was to sew a heating pad in the form of a cow, but then I got too lazy, in the end I decided to make such a simple version of a heating pad for an “average” teapot.

    Warmer for kettle - simple pattern from fabric under Khokhloma

    First, let's measure our teapot with a flexible centimeter, one measure (X) - from the bottom vertically upward through the highest point (together with the lid!) To the bottom of the opposite side, the second (Y) - horizontal measure "diameter" (equator), along the most prominent parts - on the one hand it is a spout, on the other - a handle.

    x/2+2*1.5cm+2cm
    Y/2+2*1.5cm+2cm.

    I have two different kettles. I made a heating pad of such a size that it was possible to use both kettles.
    One teapot is taller, so when I use a small one, I tuck a few centimeters (about 5) in from the bottom.

    On the pattern-rectangle, round the two upper corners. You need two of these items.

    How to sew a heating pad for a teapot with your own hands

    To make it convenient to use, we will immediately prepare a loop, it will be sewn into the seam from above. You can use ready-made ribbons or make them from the same material.

    We fold the parts with the right sides inward (do not forget to insert a loop!), Sew the two parts along the rounded side.

    We cut out similar details from a synthetic winterizer (2 pieces), lining (4 pieces - from above, from below a synthetic winterizer). Insulation can be taken along with the lining from the old jacket, I used cotton fabric as the lining, which I had left after altering the pillowcases (instead of 80x80 I now have 40x80). Attach the synthetic winterizer to the lining, connect, quilt. Fold the parts with the fabric inward, stitch along the rounded line.

    Put the cotton cap inside the front of the heating pad, now it remains only to process the lower part - carefully bend the edges inward, iron it, stitch it by hand or use a sewing machine, whichever is more convenient for you.

    I found such a beautiful fabric in the Russian style at home, it just suited my idea, I already have potholders for the kitchen and a mitten made of similar material, now I have come through another kitchen item.

    My kettle and heating pad

    That's it. We brew strong tea, cover it with our new heating pad, and prepare to drink it with cookies or cakes.

    The teapot warmer is a functional item and stylish element kitchen decor that will emphasize your taste.

    First you need to decide how you will make it: knit or sew. Then we select appearance. You can see a photo of a heating pad on a teapot on the Internet, or you can come up with a unique design.

    Recently, heating pads in the form of a doll or an animal (more often an owl, a chicken, a cat, etc.), as well as in the form of a fruit or vegetable, are gaining more and more popularity. Next, you need to decide for yourself: will it completely cover the teapot or will the spout with the handle remain open. Not only the form, but also the stages of work will depend on this.

    Here we will give a master class on making three heating pads: sewn, crocheted and knitting.

    To make a heating pad for a kettle with your own hands, you will need the following tools and materials:

    • needle;
    • scissors;
    • sewing machine (if possible);
    • compasses (can be replaced with any container of a suitable size);
    • tailor's chalk (or a piece of dried soap);
    • threads;
    • fabric for the top of the product (it can be absolutely any in texture);
    • interlining;
    • synthetic winterizer;
    • ruler or measuring tape;
    • paper or newspaper (for pattern making).

    If you know how to knit, the set will be smaller:

    • hook or knitting needles;
    • reinforced threads, acrylic or wool;
    • a sewing needle, a needle with a large eye for threading thick threads;
    • lining fabric (preferably cotton).

    Step by step description of actions

    To begin with, I’ll tell you how to crochet a heating pad on a teapot. She will be in the form of a chicken.

    crochet warmer

    After choosing a design and type, we get to work. Consider the option of manufacturing a closed heating pad, since it is easier to implement. It is better to start knitting from the bottom. We collect the first row of loops, equal to the width of the teapot centimeter 2. Next, we knit in a circle up to 1/3 of the height. After that, we decrease the loops on both sides (from the side of the spout and the handle), 1st in each row, and so on until the end of the height of the teapot plus 1 cm.

    At the end of the work, we close the part, fold it in half to make an even trapezoid and connect both edges with the last column. The bottom edge can be made from contrasting threads.

    Then we knit a circle for the head (from two halves), on which we fasten the eyes-buttons on both sides (you can glue ready-made ones). We make the beak in the form of a triangle. Having collected all the details, we sew the workpiece and stuff it (with cotton, scraps, etc.).

    We attach the finished head to one of the ends. We make wings and sew them on the sides of the trapezoid. Upon completion of the work, we cut out the inner cotton part. This will prevent yarn fluff from getting into the kettle. It should be 0.3 cm less in the side seam, and 1 cm longer in length than the top.

    We sew the lining. The edges, if the material crumbles, are processed with an overlock, zigzag or finishing braid. Now we connect the parts. Knitted cover we turn the seams inside out, the lining - with the seams out and insert it into the first one, We fasten the parts. We bend the bottom of the lining and attach it to the outer part.

    Knitting warmer

    The second option is for knitting. The knitting pattern is simple: we collect an edge row equal to the volume of the teapot + 1 cm and knit the fabric with a garter stitch two heights + 2 cm. Fold in half, sew the sides. We knit the ears tightly so that they stand.

    There are two ways - either dial the loops from the top row or separately. The number of loops affects the length and durability of the ears. It is better to limit yourself to 10-15. When working at the beginning of each row, we knit the first two loops together. So we knit to the end, until two or one loop remains.

    Sew on the ears, eyes and button nose (or glue the purchased ones) and embroider the antennae. The top part is already done. Further, everything is the same as described above.

    Sewn heating pad

    The third type is for those who love to sew. We draw a semicircle with a diameter of 1-2 cm more than the teapot. We cut the blank from fabric, interlining and synthetic winterizer. We fold the fabric with the front side inward, apply a synthetic winterizer to the wrong side and connect along the perimeter, leaving the bottom open.

    We sew the interlining around the perimeter (except for the bottom), leaving 10 cm from one side. Then we put the lining with the front side inward and sew along the bottom, turn it inside out through the hole, which we then sew with a blind seam manually or on a typewriter. All is ready! Happy tea!

    Photo of heating pads on the teapot

    There has always been a reverent and special attitude towards tea drinking in Rus'.

    Tea traditions were not interrupted during the times of the USSR. One of the attributes of this ceremony was the so-called woman on the teapot - a doll with a warm, quilted skirt that kept the heat of brewed tea for a long time. It was in the USSR that teapot dolls became a fashionable trend and were produced on an industrial scale. They were made in the form of a magnificent Russian lady or merchant's wife and were a very fashionable element in the interior.

    Currently, heating dolls are experiencing a real heyday. Almost every needlewoman who makes dolls with her own hands will certainly create her own unique copy. These can be classic heating pads based on ready-made dolls, crocheted or knitting funny characters sewn from warmer tilde fabric or funny animals. There can be an incredible variety of options for the execution of such a useful thing. Our master class and several interesting ideas will help you make real masterpieces with your own hands.

    In order to sew a tilde on a teapot with your own hands, you will need to prepare the following in advance:

    • pieces of material from natural fabric(cotton, satin, linen or calico) and fleece for the top of the dress;
    • synthetic winterizer, holofiber for warming the heating pad;
    • wool for making hair;
    • buttons, ribbons, braid or lace;
    • sewing tools: scissors, needles, threads, sewing machine.

    1. Measure the dimensions of your teapot and make a pattern based on the template according to your size.

    2. Put the pattern details on the material (preferably linen) and, taking into account the seam allowances of 1 cm, cut out the future details of the doll.

    3. Sew the details of the torso, except for the bottom, making cuts in all places of the bend. Turn the stitched pieces right side out.

    4. Stuff the head and handles with stuffing. Between the top of the doll and the skirt, you need to make a line that will not allow the filler to fall out.

    5. Cut out the lining details from the fabric according to pattern No. 2, leaving 1.5 cm allowances on the bottom and 8 mm on the sides. Cut out similar parts from the synthetic winterizer. Connect the lining with the padding polyester with a sewing machine, leaving a small hole.

    6. Sew the blank of the torso with a warm lining in a circle and turn it through the prepared hole, which is then sewn up. Insert the insulated part of the heating pad into the body of the doll.

    7. Sew a slightly gathered strip of colored fabric to the bottom of the body.

    8. From the fleece, cut out two parts of the dress and one part of the collar according to patterns No. 3 and No. 4.

    9. Shape the doll's hair from the wool and glue it on the head. Embroider or draw eyes, brown cheeks.

    10. Put a fleece dress on the tilde warmer, fasten an apron sewn from fabric with a button and a ribbon. Decorate the doll with lace or braid to your liking.

    The teapot doll in the form of a touching tilde is ready!

    Warmer for a teapot from a finished doll

    From an old doll, you can get the easiest version of a heating pad for a kettle to make. Even dolls of the USSR era are well suited for this. Surely in the house or in the country you will find such broken plastic toys that are lying around idle. Even if the doll does not have legs, it is still suitable for creating a teapot with your own hands.

    Such a doll for a teapot does not require the construction of a special pattern. It is enough just to take two rectangular pieces of fabric in length and width equal to the dimensions of the teapot and a metal wire. It will be necessary to connect the material in such a way that a cylinder is obtained. Sew the lining part of the skirt with a padding polyester, and then connect it along the bottom circle with the front part of the skirt.

    From metal wire it is necessary to make two rings equal to the circumferences of the top and bottom of the skirt, and then connect them with pieces of the same wire to each other. Insert the resulting frame inside the skirt. Fold the top of the skirt fabric to the wrong side of the design so that the top ring closes, and sew it with threads. Place the doll in the inner top ring of the skirt. Now it remains only to make clothes with your own hands and decorate the doll to your taste.

    Master class for sewing a rooster warmer with your own hands

    A do-it-yourself hot-water bottle for a rooster kettle is easily created even by novice craftsmen. This will help in detail. step by step description sewing process:

    1. Two parts of the body are cut out of the top fabric, taking into account a 1 cm wide seam allowance. The parts are folded with the right sides inward, and sewn on a sewing machine.
    2. Cut out two parts of the lining and also sew. They connect the details of the top and lining together, laying them side by side, pinning them with pins, sewing them on a typewriter, leaving a hole 10 or 15 centimeters wide. Two parts of the insulation are sewn on a typewriter, and inserted into the workpiece of the body through the hole, the hole is sewn up between the lining and the top with a blind seam. The cap is ready.

    1. From the main fabric, 4 details of the wings are cut out in a mirror image with an allowance for the seams. Sew, leaving a few centimeters unsewn. Small notches are made in the corners and the workpiece is turned inside out. The wing is stuffed with padding polyester, and the hole is sewn up with hidden stitches. To form a relief pattern on the wings, they are sewn to the middle of the length with two parallel lines.
    2. Cut out two parts of the tail from the main fabric with allowances for the seams. Stretch on the machine. Notches are made, not reaching a line of 2 mm. Turn the blank on the front side, and stuff it with small pieces of padding polyester, pushing them into the hole with a long stick. They make a relief pattern of feathers on the tail using 4 lines.

    1. To make a head, you can take a fabric of a different color, for example, yellow. Two parts of the head are cut out of the fabric using a pattern, in a mirror image, leaving allowances for the seam. Sew up the notches. Fold the parts right sides inward and sew. Turned out on the face, stuffed tightly with padding polyester. Where there will be cheeks, they put two dense synthetic winterizer balls. Attach the head, combining the seams, to the body, and secure with pins. The head of the rooster is sewn with hidden stitches to the body of the heating pad.
    2. The scallop is cut out of red knitwear using a pattern. Fold the two parts right sides and sew. Since the pieces are small, the seam allowances should be small. Scissors make notches on the seamy side in places where the scallop is bent so that it turns out better. Stuffed with synthetic winterizer. Attach with pins to the head of the cockerel, and sew with hidden stitches.

    Tip: Using the same pattern, you can make a chicken heating pad for a teapot. Only she will have a smaller tail, comb and beak, there will be no red beard.

    Crochet master class

    Crochet a warmer for a teapot cockerel is made using thick yarn to make the product warm and perform its main function of keeping warm well.

    A step-by-step description of the work of a cockerel crochet warmer:

    1. An African flower is knitted from three petals, tying them around with single crochets.

    1. They take the threads of the main color, for example, beige, knit three rows of double crochets around the flower (more can be, it all depends on the size of the teapot) - this will be a triangular canvas of the body. To make a heating pad, two such parts are made, then fastening them together with connecting loops.
    2. To make the body part in the shape of a triangle, the knitting is expanded. To do this, knit at the top of the triangle, which will be the head of the rooster, five double crochets. Do the same opposite each corner of the triangular part.

    1. Rooster wings are knitted using the African flower pattern.
    2. A comb is knitted from a rooster of red yarn, consisting of three semicircles. The two side parts of the scallop are connected with single crochet stitches, and the central semicircle with double crochet stitches.
    3. A beak is knitted from one loop with one crochet in three columns. A beard of seven loops and five columns with one crochet consists of two identical parts. The tail is knitted arbitrarily at will from bright threads.
    4. At the bottom, the cockerel's body is tied with a frill, using three double crochets. Threads for edging are chosen different in color from the body.

    At the end of the work, the eyes of the bead are sewn on. A wonderful crocheted cockerel for a teapot is ready! You can brew fragrant tea with fragrant herbs, and invite guests to a tea party.
