    From multi-colored plastic bags can be very interesting and beautiful crafts for home and garden. Crafts are made very simply, but whole masterpieces are obtained from them, and you will still get great pleasure from the work done. We already have interesting ones on the site and you should definitely check them out too.
    Today we will take a look at interesting master a class for making chicken from plastic bags, the author of this MK is Natalya Semyonova. If you make a chicken from multi-colored bags, then you will get a bright, beautiful and luxurious plumage.
    Natalya saw a photo of this cute chicken on the Internet and immediately got the idea to create exactly the same one. There were no explanations on how to make a chicken, so I had to invent everything myself. Natalia hopes that her master class will be useful to someone and will be useful. But if you find another way to make, we will be glad if you share it with us.

    To make a chicken, we need:
    * Plastic bags.
    * Thick wire.
    * Thin wire.
    * Pen or pencil.
    * Sheet A 4 - 2 pcs.
    * Thermal gun.

    How to make chicken:
    On two sheets of A 4 we will make a sketch and then bend a frame from a thick wire along it. We make the frame approximately, then when you create volume for it, all the flaws will be covered.

    She took her paws to the sides so that in the end they were not from one point.

    Natalya dreamed of making a chicken out of colored bags, but only rustling ones came across, and they would not look very good. Therefore, I decided to make from what was - these are soft dense packages (black is thinner), from which we will get a pied chicken))).
    We cut strips from the packages, 3 cm strips will be needed on the body, and 2 cm on the head. The strips also need to be cut across to make a long ribbon. It didn’t take a lot of packages to make chicken, 3-4 pieces of each color. also depends on the tightness of the parts.

    Now we take a thin wire and start collecting a tape on it, we should get a ruffle as in the photo.

    The volume of the chicken is made of bags, we fix it with tape or some kind of synthetic tape. We start making volume in the chicken from the tail. We put the corner of the bag on the tail and fasten it with tape. We weave five braids from packages, fix the edges with a stapler. Now we glue ruffles to the bag on the tail glue gun.
    The chicken will turn out to be approximately the size of an ordinary chicken, it all depends on the frame you draw, and you will get one. You can stuff the chicken with unnecessary rags or paper, but if you make it for the street, then stuff it with plastic bags, otherwise everything inside will rot. It is best to glue the finished ruffles with a glue gun.

    Gradually we reach the chest.

    We make the breast from the bottom up like a frill.

    If the length of the ribbons is not changed, then we will get a plump breast.

    We take the wire and make legs out of it.

    We twist on the base, but this is not very reliable, so we fill it with hot glue.

    We circle the head on plastic (you can take a hot stand), draw a comb, beak, beard and cut it out with an allowance of 0.5 cm.

    We finish the final touches - we attach ruffles to the head. We will make the eyes from the buttons on the leg, paint them with orange nail polish and draw the pupils with a black indelible marker. We wrap the legs with a tape cut from the package. All chicken from plastic bags is ready.

    You have accumulated a lot of plastic bags at home, do not rush to throw them away, because you can make incredible crafts. Since this is the year of the rooster, why not decorate your garden, vegetable garden or even your apartment with a plastic bag rooster. And if you wish, you can make several hens with a cockerel and make a small composition, such a craft will come in handy even for a kindergarten.

    In this tutorial, we will show you how to make a chicken from bags, but following these instructions, you can also make a cockerel, just by adding a few details, and which ones, we will tell you in the process.

    How to make a chicken or cockerel from old bags

    The craft itself is very easy to manufacture, most of all time is spent on preparation and templates. Before starting work, you need to prepare the following materials:

    • several dozen packages (size and color are not important);
    • a piece of thick wire (up to 1 m.);
    • coil of thin wire;
    • simple pencil;
    • adhesive tape, adhesive tape;
    • several sheets of A4 paper;
    • glue gun.

    How to make chicken from plastic bags step by step:

    First of all, you need to make the frame of the future bird. On a piece of paper, draw schematically the outlines of a chicken or cockerel, so that you can then bend the wire along them, as shown in the photo. You do not need to do everything perfectly evenly, in the process of work you will correct everything.

    Bend the wire so that its ends complete the contour in the area of \u200b\u200bthe legs. A little later we will tell you how to make realistic legs for a chicken.

    Advice : try to use soft bags, then the craft will rustle less.

    Regardless of the size of the package that you have prepared, you need to make two types of strips, on the body up to 3 cm thick, and on the head, up to 2 cm. The longer the strip, the better, you can always cut off the excess. Having prepared the strips, start stringing them on a thin wire. The result should be a crumpled ruffle.

    The top layer of the chicken from plastic bags is ready, it's time to prepare the inside, which will add volume to the craft. On the previously prepared metal frame, you need to put on a tight bag, after which push a few more bags into it, but not very much, so that the workpiece does not become hard. Using adhesive tape, we glue the top package so that we get the image of a chicken or a rooster. If there is no adhesive tape, use small strips of fabric, as shown in the photo.

    Advice : If the chicken will stand in the house, you can fill it with paper, for the street you need to use plastic bags.

    The carcass of an artificial chicken should be approximately similar to the size of a real one, when you have reached the similarity, proceed to appearance. Everything is simple here, starting from the tail, wind the wire with chopped and crumpled strips around the body. The denser the ruffles, the less errors will be visible.

    Having reached the neck, you should stop. We need to make the head of the chicken more realistic, and for this we need to add some details, namely: a beak and a scallop. You can cut everything out of paper and paint it with red paint, but if this chicken is for the street, then the paper will get wet in the first rain, so it’s better to take plastic. More precisely, a plastic bowl and cut out the necessary details from it. Using a heat gun, glue the parts to the head and continue winding the crumpled strips from the bags. It is still worth sticking decorative eyes on the ruffles.

    The product is almost ready, only the paws remain. From soft wire make paws, as shown in the photo below, and then glue them to the main frame. Fasten the paws so that a little thick wire remains, in the future it can be stuck into the ground, and the whole craft will hold on to itself.

    If desired, the paws can still be painted in yellow or wrap with yellow electrical tape.

    By the same principle, a rooster is made from old packages, a traitor frame is enough, so that the neck is longer and the scallop is enlarged.

    Video review: Crafts from packages with your own hands

    We, without hesitation, send the plastic milk bag to the scrap. And such a fate awaits millions of packages, except for those that fall into the hands of Rimma Marfonova from Krichev. From waste material at first glance, she creates a real fairy tale.

    It will take: plastic bags from milk, scissors, empty plastic containers (for example, from shampoos), colored pet bottles, wire, thermal gun.

    Yarn preparation

    For the manufacture of polyethylene threads, I cut off the upper narrow edge of each bag. Thoroughly washed with dishwashing detergent from the outside and, after turning it out, from the inside. Dried up. The tape began to be cut from the open edge of the package at a slight angle (photo 1). I cut it around in a single strip about 1 cm wide to the end of the package (photo 2). I prepared all the other packages in the same way. She connected the blanks together, tying them into a knot (photo 3), which she hid on the wrong side of the product when knitting. For convenience, I wound the tape into a ball.

    Polyethylene knitting

    Knitting began with a loop (knot). Shaped it on my fingers. To do this, she clamped the working thread in her left palm, leaving about 20 cm of a free segment, brought the tape over the middle finger. Stepped back from the edge of the thread 5 cm and fixed it between the thumb and forefinger, thus forming a loop (photo 4). three fingers right hand inserted it into it, twisted it clockwise (photo 5), hooked it with the forefinger and pulled the working thread through the loop (photo 6) Pulled the tips and tightened the knot. Then I inserted a hook into it and began to knit. Depending on the conceived figure, I used various basic elements - air loop, semi-column, single crochet and double crochet. This knitting is similar to the amigurumi technique *.

    Garden figurine "Cockerel"

    Master of the yard

    The cockerel knitted the body, starting with the tail. Knitted 5 ch. (photo 7), closed them in a ring. Further єzala in circular rows st. b/n. Having built a schematic pattern, she divided the figure into segments, while knitting which she added and subtracted stitches as needed. I left a small hole on my head and tightly filled the workpiece with plastic bags.

    On a note
    If the figure is large, you can use bags as stuffing, distributing them inside closer to the knitted fabric, and fill the center with foam. With such a filler, your “sculpture” will not be afraid of either rain or snow.

    Then she continued knitting, decreasing the stitches, until she was left alone. Fixed the tape. Fastening a new thread on the cockerel's body in the right places, she tied a comb, earrings, a beak, and then, similarly, legs (shins) at the bottom of the body. I twisted the paws out of wire, fixed them with a thermal gun in the lower leg. She glued her eyes. For bright wings, neck and tail I used colored plastic bottles and containers. I cut out blanks in the form of feathers from them and, for greater realism, cut the edge of the parts (photo 8). I glued it to the knitted base with a thermal gun. She painted the fragments of the head with red enamel.

    Using this knitting technique, I decorated my site with decorative figures (photo 9-13).
