Paper boats can be with or without sails, “able” to float, or play the role of a stationary craft (for example, for appliques).     Instructions for assembling a simple boat from origami paper. Bend the rectangular sheet in half, and then in half again, unfold (you should get a vertical bend). Along the intended bend, connect the two upper corners of the origami ship.


    Fold the bottom edges up on both sides. Fold over the bottom corners. Fold the edges up again.


    Grasp the edges from the inside and pull different sides(the triangle should form a rhombus). Bend the bottom corners of the diamond towards the middle on both sides. Repeat the previous point.


    Once again fold the lower edges towards the middle of the origami ship. Bend the triangular edges in different directions and stretch the figure.


    Sailing yacht

    The yacht is very simple to make; the assembly diagram will be understandable for beginners and even children. Bend the square sheet diagonally and unfold it. Repeat step 1 for the second diagonal, do not unfold.


    Fold the bottom edge of the resulting triangle to the middle of the origami ship and unfold it. Along the intended curve, bend the bottom edges upward (turn inside out).


    The result is an origami yacht.

    You can decorate finished boats and sailboats with flags, hearts, flowers that can be cut out using templates, or try to decorate the boat yourself.

    Steamships and ships

    Classic ship

    Next, put 1 yellow module in one pocket on two adjacent corners of the modules of the previous row, then put on 4 red modules and again - 2 yellow modules in one pocket on one corner (this way we will expand the ship at the stern). Moving on, put on 12 red modules, 2 yellow modules with one pocket on one corner (we are starting to expand the bow of the ship), 4 yellow modules, 2 yellow modules with one pocket on one corner, 12 red modules (see photo).

    3. In the fifth row, continue to expand the ship in the same places. Starting from the stern, put on 2 yellow modules with one pocket on one corner, 5 red modules, 2 yellow modules with one pocket on one corner, 13 red, 2 yellow modules with one pocket on one corner, 5 yellow modules, 2 yellow modules with one pocket on one corner, 13 red modules. Gradually give the ship the required form. To do this, you need to bring the sides of the ship as close as possible, increasing the distance between the stern and bow.

    4. In the place where the stern widens, put 1 yellow module on the two corners of the yellow modules of the previous row, then put on 6 red modules, 1 yellow, 14 red, 8 yellow, 14 red.

    5. Also start assembling the seventh row from the stern. Put on 1 yellow module (offset towards the stern), 5 red, 1 yellow, 15 red, 7 yellow, 15 red.

    6. In the next row, all modules should be put on with the short side out: 6 yellow (stern), 16 blue, 6 yellow (bow), 16 blue.

    9th row: 1 blue module (on the blue and yellow corner of the modules of the previous row), 5 yellow, 1 blue;

    10th row: 1 blue module (on the blue and yellow corner of the modules of the previous row), 4 yellow, 1 blue;

    8. Move to the stern of the ship. Insert (do not push on) the 13 red modules with the long side facing out (see photo).

    2nd row: 4 modules;

    Give the sail a curved shape.

    12. To make a flag, insert 3 modules into each other with two corners in two pockets: 1 blue, 1 yellow, 1 blue.

    Today we will engage in an unusual design in the Chinese style. Why in Chinese? Because modular origami is a technique for folding various crafts from paper modules, invented in China. It turns out like a constructor. Before assembling any craft, you need to fold many, many identical modules out of paper. Take three sheets of red, white and blue paper, PVA glue, and scissors.

    The modules fold simply and, despite the fact that one small craft It takes a lot of parts, in an hour you guys can make a whole box of these things. Let's take half a sheet of A-4 format, cut it into two more halves, then in half again and in half again. You should always cut along the width so that the rectangles are not too long. As a result, from half a sheet you will get 8 rectangles, and from a whole sheet - 16.

    When there are enough multi-colored blanks, we proceed directly to the manufacture of modules: step 1 - bend the rectangle in half; step 2 – make a triangle from a narrow rectangle;

    step 3 – flip the triangle reverse side and at the edges protruding from below we bend the outer corners; step 4 – “match” the free ends to the triangle;

    step 5 – fold the triangle in half; Step 6 - this is how the modules are attached to each other. Moreover, when attaching them, they can be turned over to expand, round the shape, etc.

    Phew... we've made some modules. The robot Otik even overheated while folding triangles.

    But now I’ve already rested and rebooted, so I can start assembling. We will build a ship with you. Our modules have two corners and two “pockets” on the bend. We assemble the circle by inserting one corner of two modules into the “pocket” of the third module. And so on in a circle.

    The craft will not fall apart, since the modules hold each other. The third row is made with blue modules according to the same scheme.

    We turn the boat over and decorate it with more red modules on top.

    There was a hole in the middle. We will insert the mast there. Cut a piece of white paper in half. From this half we make a square, connecting the two sides along one of the upper corners. We cut off the excess. And then from this square we twist a mast, similar to a school pointer or a narrow bag for sunflower seeds.

    We attach it to the boat.

    Modular origami does not involve the use of glue or other materials to hold the parts together. This is good because the figure can always be disassembled and reassembled new craft. But if you do not disassemble the boat, then for strength it is better to fasten the modules with PVA glue. All we have to do is assemble the sail. It is done simply: the modules are assembled in a pyramid, and then one row at the bottom and two rows at the top are fastened together in a checkerboard pattern. That is, again the corners of different modules are inserted into the “pocket” of the third module. In the top row, you can connect three corners at once in the “pocket” of one module.

    The ship is ready. From below from one white module We make a support for the sail, and decorate the boat with “flags” from the stern.

    It's just a pity that paper boat you won't get far...
