* You can cut the strips with scissors as you twist them, or you can cut the necessary strips in advance (approximate length of each strip: 17.5, 20, 22.5, 25, 27.5, 30 cm).
3. Start rolling the strips, adding a little glue between them. Finally, make sure that the outer strip is longer than all the others. Glue the ends of the strips together.
4. Using hot glue, glue the stick to the resulting candy. If desired, you can paint the toothpick or skewer with white acrylic paint.
5. Glue or sew ribbon to the back of the candy so it can be hung on the tree.

Cardboard toilet paper rolls (their number depends on the number of lights)

Colored paper or colored cardboard

What else is there not a single New Year without? Of course, no sweets! And it doesn’t matter whether there are children in the house or not – it’s nice to treat yourself to delicious desserts and chocolate at any age! Besides, a sweet gift is always universal. So, what kind of gifts for monkeys can you make with your own hands from sweets and chocolate for 2016?
The first option is a sweet ball. This is a “two in one” gift - both a toy for the Christmas tree and a dessert for New Year's table. To make it, we need a glass or plastic ball, cocoa powder, powdered sugar, chocolate chips, small marshmallow marmalade, glazed candies or marshmallows. Pour all the ingredients in turn into a pre-prepared ball (without top fastening, washed and dried): first cocoa powder, then powder, then crumbs, then everything else: from heavy to lighter and less dense. Then we put the top back on and don’t forget to strengthen it – tie it with a ribbon, for example. Such a ball will decorate New Year's days, and then easily turn into a wonderful drink: just remove it, pour the contents into a mug and pour hot milk.
The second option is a chocolate sled! All we need to make them is a couple of candy canes for the runners, a small flat tile, some rectangular candies, satin ribbon and a bow. To strengthen the structure, use glue gun or double-sided tape. The sled is made in five minutes: just place a large chocolate bar on the lollipops with tails bent up, and put smaller candies on top - from large to small, strengthening it all with drops of glue. Finally, tie everything with a ribbon and make an elegant bow from its ends - or place a ready-made, industrial one on top, also secured with glue. Ready!
And finally one more New Year's version a gift of candy - chocolate Christmas tree! To make a large Christmas tree, choose larger candies, and for a small one, smaller ones.
Roll the cardboard into a cone, glue it and trim off the excess at the base. Decorate with tinsel along the bottom edge using double-sided tape.
Then glue a layer of candies onto the same tape - by the tails from the candy wrappers.
Continue filling the Christmas tree to the top, alternating a layer of tinsel with a layer of chocolates.
Decorate the top with tinsel or a toy, and also add more rain. Ready! You can also use a bottle of alcohol instead of a cone - this surprise will please parents no less than upper layer- children!

If you have ready-made souvenir boxes on hand, you can decorate them with appliqués, cut out and painted the way you like. For example, you can take these drawings as a basis.
In the simpler pictures, children can also “teach their hand” - learn to use scissors on New Year pictures, which you can give to friends - it's exciting! If they are still unsure of holding scissors, they can help with coloring the pictures. It’s better to process complex pictures with a stationery knife, just remember the safety rules!
