This is ensured by tightly twisting two threads together, and depending on their thickness and color, the results are different kinds fabrics:

    • matte or shiny,

It’s easy to create organza flowers with your own hands – the main thing is to know the basic techniques. For this purpose, Krestik has prepared a review of simple master classes.

Basic principles of creating organza flowers

The creation of any, even the most exquisite, flower or complex composition begins with preparing the parts and connecting them in a certain sequence. Needlewomen have come up with several techniques that help create floral masterpieces:

    • classic with buns,
    • with heat treatment,
    • kanzashi,
    • from ribbons.

It is easier for beginners to master the technique using heat treatment of petals, while experienced craftswomen create their masterpieces using several techniques.

    Classic floristry

This technique is called silk floristry or Japanese technology. Ancient art the creation of flowers from silk came from Japan. However, it is also applicable to other fabrics: viscose, cambric, organza. To make flowers you will need a soldering iron and a set of special brass tools on a handle. It includes round balls of various diameters - boules, as well as smoothers, knives, heels, hooks, dies and special tools for chrysanthemums, lilies of the valley and fantasy flowers.

The petals are cut out according to the pattern, starched or kept in gelatin and dried - due to this, the edges will not fray, and the petal will keep its shape.

To give natural bends, the blank petal is placed on a special pad and passed over it with a hot tool. Then a flower is assembled from the finished petals on a string.

MK on making flowers using Japanese technique:

    Simple flowers with heat-treated edges

Preparing the petals is similar to the classical method: you need to cut the blanks exactly according to the template.

To prevent the edges from fraying and fraying, they must be processed. This will require a candle. Since organza is made from synthetic fabric– it does not burn, but melts. This is simplicity and complexity at the same time: the petal easily takes on the required shape, but it must be melted carefully, otherwise you can ruin the workpiece by melting the excess. The peculiarity of the melted edge of organza is a rounded edge of a darker shade. Thanks to her, the petals look especially charming.

The flower is assembled onto a thread, and the core is decorated with beads, beads, and sequins.

The flower will look more organic if the petals are not connected directly in the middle, but each one is moved a little.

    Kanzashi

This technique is universal because it allows you to make flowers both from blanks cut from fabric and to use organza ribbons. The point is that each petal is a fabric folded many times. Individual elements can be fixed with a thread or the edges can be melted over a flame, thus gluing them together.

The technique is most suitable for creating small flowers intended for decoration, photo frames, cards, decoration gift boxes and to realize countless creative ideas.

Instructions for making organza flowers using the Kanzashi technique:

    Ribbon flowers

This technique is the first step in and an excellent option for beginning craftswomen. The organza ribbon has an edge, so the petals look neat, and only the edge needs to be treated with fire. The width and length of the ribbon depends on the intended size of the flower. Creating flowers using this technique is an excellent option for joint creativity with children.

Exquisite organza flowers for special occasions

In the techniques discussed above, the edges of the petals are subjected only to heat treatment. You can add chic with a special finish instead of melting or on top of it. This flower will be an exquisite decoration wedding bouquet or delicate clothing decor. Let's learn how to create elegant flowers from organza, and the master class will help us with this.

For making this type of flowers, organza is an ideal option, since it is quite rigid and will withstand the load of glitter or small beads glued to the petals.

To make flowers we will need:

    • organza,
    • transparent fabric glue,
    • white or silver glitter,
    • scissors and pins,
    • sewing needle and thread to match the fabric.

First step. Cut out petals according to the template. Required amount and the sizes depend on your idea. For a delicate cup stand, two petals are enough.

Second step. Gently coat the edges of the petals with transparent glue, sprinkle them with glitter and dry.

If you are creating a flower to decorate clothes, then it is still better to melt the edges over a candle - this will prevent the threads from fraying, and then decorate with glitter.

Third step. Using a thread to match the fabric, sew large stitches into the middle of the petal. When pulled together, folds are formed that need to be secured with additional stitches. If you are making a napkin for a cup, you just need to slightly tighten the folds and then straighten them, giving the flower some airiness.

If you are new to flower making, first practice on scraps to select the appropriate fold size.

Fourth step. Connect the finished petals into a flower with a needle and thread. The middle can also be decorated with glitter or beads. The finished flower head is glued to a wire or wooden stick, which, if desired, are decorated with floral ribbon.

Why is organza so popular among needlewomen along with satin and rapeseed fabric for making artificial flowers and other crafts?

This fabric is made by twisting two fibers. Previously, organza was made from silk, but now you can more often find this transparent rigid thin fabric made of polyester or viscose. ́

By appearance and some properties differ among types of organza. For making roses , carnations, many large flowers and bouquets We recommend choosing “rainbow” or “chameleon” organza.

Rainbow organza can be recognized by its characteristic vertical stripe, transitioning from one color to another. And the “chameleon” is distinguished by the so-called “shanzhan” effect, thanks to which a homemade flower from this fabric changes color depending on what angle you look at it from.

Exist different techniques making artificial flowers from organza:

    hand twisting technique (as when working with satin ribbon in the kanzashi style);

    Classical technique (silk floristry);

    Ganutel (threads, fishing line, wire are used to give the flower petals the desired shape);

Heat treatment (for example, using a candle flame) of organza blanks to give the desired shape to a craft piece.

Most often, classic and hot (heat treatment) techniques are used to make organza flowers.

IN classical technique fabric blanks are processed as follows: first, the flower petals are starched and kept in gelatin or polyvinyl alcohol. After this, they take a special tool - boules, and with its help they give the required form petals (which are usually cut out using a template from cardboard). A special floral pad is placed under the workpiece, and the bulk is heated. Since the fabric was starched, the edges of the workpiece do not fray during processing.

Heat treatment of organza blanks using a candle flame became possible after this fabric began to be made from polyester and viscose. As is known, synthetic material does not burn, but melts over the fire. Therefore, you can easily change the shape of an organza petal by melting the edges over a fire.

    Ribbon hair clips for beginners

Let's figure out how easy it is to make hairpins from ribbons, and how it will help us detailed master class for this work. We propose to discuss this in this useful lesson. Let's try to build and glue together bright, cute and beautiful decorations for the ponytails of little fashionistas.

You can make many useful things from satin and high-quality grosgrain ribbons, but they are most often used to make elastic bands or hairpins. The only thing is that this creative material is easy to work with, practical and, not least important, available to craftswomen in any color and quantity.

By choosing bright ribbons and beads of delicate colors, we will get an original couple of useful things for a girl. Such hairpins can become a stylish gift for a holiday or birthday.

Let's start making hairpins from combined ribbons and figure out how simple the master class is.

To make hairpins (elastic bands) from satin ribbons with your own hands, you need the following material:

    • 1. Rep tape width 2.5 cm – 62 cm,
    • 2. Organza ribbon width 2.5 cm - 60 cm,
    • 3. Satin ribbon thin width 0.5 cm - 32 cm orange and 16 cm yellow,
    • 4. White spool thread and small eye sewing needle,
    • 5. Silicone hot glue,
    • 6. White plastic center – 2 pcs.,
    • 7. Scissors,
    • 8. Fastening – clamps 2 pcs.,
    • 9. Matches or candle.

A strong base for making hairpins will be two rep ribbons. They need to be cut into two sections for each hairpin, 8 cm long, as shown in the photo.

To make the ribbon more attractive and beautiful, we will cut its edges diagonally into a triangle. To do this, fold the ribbon at the edge with the front side facing inward and make cuts on both sides.

Rep ribbon, like satin ribbon, tends to crumble at the edges and unravel. To avoid this, we just need to take matches or a candle, with the help of which the cut edges need to be slightly scorched.

To combine two tapes, you need to apply glue to the bottom one in its center and cover it with a second tape.

For the central center of the ribbon hairpin, we will prepare pieces of rep and organza. The edges of the organza are also singed, but very quickly and carefully. This material burns easily.

We fold the grosgrain piece of ribbon for the middle in half and sew it with a simple seam.

Since the thread has not been torn off, we use it to tighten the piece from rep, securing the thread to a knot.

We also tighten the organza ribbon, singed at the edges, using a thread and a needle.

By pulling the thread through the center of the bows, they need to be fastened together.

    We fasten it.

We also sew the second organza bow to the ribbons. We sew all three bows well again and tighten them to fix them in the center.

For two handmade hairpins we will make two blanks.

Cut a thin orange satin ribbon into pieces of the length indicated in the photo.

We will need only 4 of these blanks.

Lightly grease the central part of the rep with glue and attach thin satin ribbons. Before attaching these additional ribbons, their edges also need to be trimmed and singed.

We will prepare a thin yellow satin ribbon in the form of 7.5 cm segments, the edges of which we cut and singe.

We fasten these segments in the center of the hairpin.

We generously fill the ribbons collected together - the middle ones, which we made from three bows (rep and organza) on the wrong side with hot glue and combine them with the main part made of rep to create hairpins.

To hide the threads in the middle of the hairpin, you can sew a decorative element (button) or place a half-bead or plastic round center there to suit your taste. It is attached using hot or super glue. It is best to use hot glue, since super glue has a specific smell.

To securely attach the hairpin to your hair, you can use a metal clip. It is attached to the base of the hairpins with glue. The finished hairpins are allowed to dry, and they are completely ready.

In this lesson we suggested making these hairpins from ribbons and a master class for them with your own hands. Happy crafting and creative success.

    Elastic band "Ladybug"

The most adored insects among children are considered ladybugs. Therefore, hair accessories that contain the image of the “sun” look funny, cause affection, and most importantly, children like them.

These decorations are quite easy to make yourself. And you can involve your child in the manufacturing process, then the accessory will be even more beloved and valuable to him.

This hairpin is made of two types of organza. Made using a soldering iron or burner.

For such a flower, about 15 cm in diameter, we will need:
    - soldering iron with a sharp tip.
    - organza yellow color, and the second with sparkles.
    - beads in organza color.
    - a little gold thread.
    - hair clip.
    - glue gun.
    - a piece of glass or ceramic tile.

Let's start with templates. You will need a circle made of dense material, perhaps plastic, with a diameter of 5 cm. The second template is a flower petal, it is in the shape of a droplet, but cut off at the bottom. The cut will be three cm, the height of the template will be 7.5 cm, and its widest part will be five cm.

We turn on the soldering iron, but you can also use a fabric burner. We take the yellow organza, lay it out, and on top of it we level the second one with sparkles. We put glass or ceramic tiles to burn on it. We take the petal template and apply it to the fabric, cut it out along the contour with a soldering iron.

And we will need twenty such petals.

When all the petals are cut out, we will give each of them a different shape. In each workpiece, we fold the lower cut three cm wide with an accordion and secure it with a soldering iron. This is similar to the movement of making a point. And you need to put 2-3 “points”.

This is how we secure all 20 petals. This method allows the petal to become voluminous due to the resulting void between the two tissues.

It's time to assemble the flower. We take our plastic circle with a diameter of 5 cm and fasten four petals on it crosswise. We secure them along the edge with a glue gun.

We complete this circle by gluing 4 more petals between the four petals, and in the first circle we got eight petals.

The second row will be the same, and in it we glue 8 petals, staggered with respect to the first row.

And we fix the remaining four petals in the middle of the future flower.

Now let's start decorating it. Let's put the threads together golden color 6 cm long, without cutting the edges. Then you need to tie them in the middle, and fold them in half and secure them with thread. The resulting stamens are three cm high and glue such a bunch of threads into the middle of the flower.

Now we take beads in the color of organza and attach them with glue to the edges of the petals of the first row, where there are eight pieces, and the last one, four.

And she stayed last detail jewelry is a hair clip. We take our finished flower, turn it upside down and glue a clamp onto the plastic circle with a pistol. With this our hair decoration is ready.
