    3. Prepare the future employee for the fact that work is responsibilities that must be observed. Something is not always done quickly and easily. Money does not come without effort, especially to a person who is going to work for the first time.
    4. If your child will work in a team, teach him such concepts as “tolerance,” “responsibility,” and “sense of tact.”
    5. Study the labor code together to avoid unexpected unpleasant surprises. There are a lot of charlatans, so study the reviews of those working in the company, check its existence personally. No fees for official employment! This is a sign that you are being deceived.

I looked at many sites, everything is described incomprehensibly and complicated. I hope your team can help me figure it out.

Nikolay, hello! In short, at the age of 15 you will not be able to get an official job without the written permission of your parents and guardianship authorities. But at the age of 16 you are your own boss and can conclude employment contract with the employer without anyone's consent.

    Elena Glubko

worked part-time since I was 16 years old

At what age can you work?

If this is not the case and you are in ninth grade or have just entered tenth grade, you will have to obtain two more documents:

    1. Written permission from one of the parents with a copy of the parent’s passport does not need to be certified by a notary.
    2. Permission from the guardianship authorities.

In order for the guardianship to issue permission, you need to take one of the parents and with all necessary documents go to the social security authorities. There you will write an application, attach to it the parent’s consent and a draft employment contract. Officials will check everything and issue written consent. Or they will refuse if the work is contraindicated or beyond your capabilities.

    One-time job

Instead of an employment contract, a civil law contract may be concluded with you. Such an agreement is concluded for the performance of one-time work. For example, when an agency organizes a promotion and hires you as a promoter. In this case, both parents sign consent to work, even if you are already sixteen.

    Schedule

The state believes that while you are in school, you cannot abandon your studies and disappear from morning to evening at work. The Labor Code allows you to work part-time and only during free time from school - you should not run around the area and post advertisements during lessons.

Children cannot work at night: from 10 pm to 6 am they must be at home.

    Age

    Hours per day

    Hours per week

    2.5 after school
    5 on vacation

    12 after school
    24 on vacation

    4 after school

Since most teenagers have temporary jobs and short term, they don’t have time to go on vacation. In this case, upon dismissal, the employer pays compensation for unpaid vacation.

What job will a child not be hired for?

You can only do light work that is not harmful to your health and moral development. You definitely won’t be hired to unload bags of cement, you won’t be sent to work underground, you won’t be invited to a chemical plant, you won’t be allowed to sell tobacco and alcohol, and you won’t be offered to work in a casino.

    Where to look for work

There are several ways to find a job: on the Internet, through advertisements in the newspaper, from your parents and at the youth labor exchange. The last two methods are the safest.

At the labor exchange, they will find a job that suits your abilities, and the employer will enter into a fixed-term employment contract with you for a certain period, but you have the right to terminate it early.

Usually on the stock exchange they offer to work as a janitor, postman, courier, promoter, or assistant at a construction site. In summer you can plant flowers, paint fences, and in winter you can remove snow from your yards.

You can get a job through the labor exchange only from the age of 14, because you need a passport. There are few vacancies Good work They're snapped up right away and you have to sign up for a waiting list. They pay a little - from 5,000 to 15,000 R per month, but everything is official. If you want to find a job for the summer, contact the exchange in advance - in April-May, before interesting vacancies are sorted out.

In addition to your salary, you can receive a monthly supplement from the regional budget, but only if there is such a condition in the agreement between the exchange and the employer. It is better to ask about this at the exchange in advance.

Each region has its own surcharge amount. For example, Moscow pays no more than 80% of the subsistence level of the working-age population for a full month worked, that is, 14,800 RUR, and Murmansk pays no more than two minimum unemployment benefits multiplied by the regional coefficient.

If you have a question about personal finance, luxury purchases or family budget, write: [email protected]. For the most interesting questions We will answer in the journal.

Nowadays, many schoolchildren, after receiving an official identification document, are thinking about starting to earn money pocket money and take a small step towards independent living. But where can you go to work at the age of 14, when you don’t even have a secondary education yet?

    Summer job

Many schoolchildren begin to try their hand at it in the summer, free from school. During this period, many organizations are looking for students and schoolchildren, since an adult simply will not agree to work part-time at half the rate. Therefore, this kind of activity always remains for teenagers.

    Permission from parents

Where can you work at 14 years old in the summer? Finding a job during this period is not particularly difficult. But in order for a child to start working, he will need written permission from one of the parents. It must include an explanation that the parent or guardian does not object if the entrepreneur hires the child.

Where can you work from the age of 14? To find a suitable vacancy, you need to acquire a special newspaper that contains a large number of advertisements You can also look at the work on the Internet.

    Promoter

What kind of work can you do at 14 years old? Let's look at the options. As a rule, teenagers are offered work as a promoter. This is the most widespread option for schoolchildren and students.

The most important advantage of such work is that it takes only a few hours a day, which makes it easy to do this both on vacation and during school hours.

    Poster and worker in cafe

What else can you do at 14 years old? Poster of advertisements. The advantages of these options are similar: part-time work, payment is made for hours worked and is usually issued on the same day or at the end of the work week. Don't know what job you can do at 14? A worker in a fast food cafe. Basically, young people aged 16 are preferred for such a position, but if the candidate has all the the necessary qualities, then they can take it from 14. The work is not pleasant, but it is fairly adequately paid. Mostly I have to wash dishes or hand out leaflets in the cafe area.

    Courier

How can a 14 year old teenager work? By courier. You can deliver, for example, documents. You can also get a job in a regular online store that has its own courier delivery service. As a rule, such enterprises are happy to hire schoolchildren and students for part-time jobs.

    Networking

Recently, this type of earning money, such as working on the Internet, has been gaining popularity. Here a lot depends on the teenager himself, since the choice remains his. He can independently plan his time, while combining work and study. And a simple part-time job can turn into a full-time activity over time. So, what types of earnings are there online:

    1. Testing computer games. We need young people here who are interested in games and know a lot about it.
    2. Taking all kinds of online surveys. As a rule, it does not bring in a lot of money. In order to save a decent amount, you need to go through maximum amount questionnaires per month.
    3. Work as a freelancer. Article writing, rewriting/copywriting.
    4. Assistance in creating websites and all kinds of blogs.

Labor exchange and number of working hours

If it happened that neither a newspaper with advertisements nor endless searches on the Internet yielded desired results, you can contact the central or local labor exchange, where employees will take into account all the features labor activity and load restrictions due to age category. Many job seekers wonder how long they can work at 14 years old.

In law Russian Federation and the Labor Code, a teenager must work no more than 24 hours a week during the holidays. Less during school (no more than twelve). The calculation of this time is based on the fact that if a teenager’s workload is greater, he may abandon his studies or become physically tired.

    Rights and obligations

The applicant is not required to incur any material costs to begin work. Respectable employers are well aware of this and will never ask for this kind of service. Some employers refuse to officially employ a teenager, which is contrary to the Labor Code. If he nevertheless agreed to this kind of cooperation, then we can safely demand the conclusion of an agreement. This will protect the applicant from non-payment wages. If the employer decides to do such a bad thing, in court this document may work in favor of the teenager.

    For girls

Very often, girls of 14 years old are offered to attend some kind of castings in the summer, so that later they can carry out promotions for a product. As a rule, this work is not official.

Therefore, in order to protect yourself, it is necessary to require any document or receipt from the employer that will prove the worker’s involvement in his company. These recommendations will help if problems arise.

You also need to remember that you should think not only about what work a 14-year-old girl can do, but also about ensuring that this activity does not interfere with her studies. There is no need to try to take on additional tasks just to earn more. It is necessary to calculate your strengths and capabilities so that no more problems arise.

Parents should support their child in independent endeavors, but it is still worth being on the safe side. 14 years is the same age when youthful maximalism begins to “spring out.” Teenagers do not yet know how to calculate their strength. It seems to them that they can cope with all difficulties and problems on their own, until in reality they are faced with them. Therefore, in order to prevent serious mistakes, it is worth giving recommendations unobtrusively. Then the teenager will think about his actions and learn to plan his every step. This will help you approach choosing a job or part-time job more consciously and less emotionally. He still only theoretically imagines how great it would be to work, but he did not feel it himself. But in practice, as a rule, expectations rarely coincide with reality. Therefore, after graduating from educational institutions, remembering past experiences, many beginning specialists experience more serious difficulties in getting the desired job. They need more time to adapt to a new social environment and make new friends and acquaintances.

    Conclusion
