• What are early childhood development centers? Children's development centers Payroll

    23.06.2020

Modern children differ from the previous generation in that their development occurs more rapidly and intensively. In our age of information technology and developed living conditions, a child’s brain can “grab” everything on the fly, assimilate more information, remember everything he saw, formulate questions about what interests him. And the modern pace of life often does not give parents the opportunity to fully engage in the development of their children.

Specialized development centers come to the aid of little “whys” and their parents. Such centers have long become the norm in the West, but they began to appear in the post-Soviet space relatively recently. Parents decide to send their child to one of these centers so that professionals can work with him and teach him everything he needs - and they turn out to be right.

Each center works with children using one method or another; their work is aimed at activating logical thinking, developing general erudition, improving fine motor skills, broadening your horizons.

The world's leading psychologists are developing special methods for development centers, and these methods are being successfully introduced into our education system. These techniques are aimed at maintaining an optimal balance between intellectual and emotional development, and also help the physical development and maturation of the baby.

As a rule, teachers in such centers take an individual approach to each of their pupils. Therefore, groups always involve no more than 5-6 people, and the duration of classes is from half an hour to two hours, depending on the age of the children.

During the classes, children are taught the basics of languages, engaged in creative activities - sculpting, drawing, singing, making appliqués, and also solving logic problems. All learning is built in a game format, which helps children learn more about the world, love it and strive to learn new things.

In addition, the centers help children adapt to society, learn to communicate with peers, solve small situational problems, share, and make friends. Such centers help prepare for school or kindergarten.

No matter how many opinions there are about such development centers among parents, psychologists and teachers are unanimous in the opinion that classes in them really help children begin to think logically, quickly adapt to the world and society, explore the world, and learn a lot of new and interesting things.

Kinds complex classes at the kids club

We have considered different models children's clubs, talked about the range of possible activities, touched on the choice of teaching methods and touched upon the issue of necessary teaching aids. Now let's move on to the lessons. What elements should be included in their structure? What is the optimal duration of each stage and the lesson as a whole?

As you know, children's clubs offer various special classes (monocourses): music, chess, dancing, foreign languages, etc. These courses are taught and programs for them are developed by specialists in these fields.

In addition to monocourses, there are general developmental classes that dominate the schedule of most children's centers. Such classes, unlike special ones, are aimed at solving several problems at the same time: teaching a child to read and count, developing his ability to navigate the world around him and hold a pencil correctly, developing various skills, developing fine motor skills, speech, memory, thinking, etc.

Such classes can be called complex, since they include many exercises and tasks taken from courses with different purposes. The advantages of general developmental classes are obvious: parents pay for several academic subjects at once. It’s hard to imagine that preschoolers will only go to reading on Mondays and Fridays, to math on Tuesdays, to writing on Wednesdays, and to develop thinking and memory on Saturdays. Of course, complex classes are much more convenient. In addition, they take into account age characteristics preschool children. For example, a child of five or six years old is not yet able to devote more than 20 minutes to one type of activity: mathematics, reading, drawing, modeling. But no one will take their child to the club only to take him home 20 minutes later. It just takes more time to undress and dress him. Another thing is a complex lesson. Here you have both mathematics and creativity, and 20 minutes are allotted for each type of activity. Of course, the total duration of the lesson increases - it can last 45 minutes or more, up to an hour and a half. A complex lesson necessarily involves pauses - active, moving or, conversely, calm. Such breaks help children refocus and relax.

Development centers provide comprehensive classes for children from six months to seven years (for older age groups, a “school preparation” course is offered).

Let me emphasize once again: general developmental (comprehensive) classes are available in all children's clubs. But they are organized differently. They can be divided into two types: a complex of courses and the complex lesson itself.

    Complex of courses

Talking about club models, I noted that some children's centers offer parents a certain set of courses, including, for example, reading, mathematics, speech development, dancing, etc. It is very simple to organize such courses: different days weeks, certain combinations of these courses are given. Here's what a schedule might look like for two-year-olds (Table 4.1).

Table 4.1. Complex of courses: example schedule

The duration of such classes is never short. In Moscow clubs they usually last about 1 hour 20 minutes with a short (5-10 minutes) break. Each course is allocated at least 20 minutes.

I have already said that such a structure has its pros and cons from the point of view of organizing club work. It also has advantages and disadvantages of a purely methodological nature.

    Pros:

    Parents understand the structure of the lesson, and they know what exactly their children are being taught - this is clear from the names of the courses. If a child misses a lesson, then the parents understand what exactly they have to make up;

    A methodologist does not need to “fence out” anything superfluous and think about little things: mathematics means mathematics. It is much easier to select exercises and tasks;

A lot of time is allocated for each course, which allows you to complete enough tasks and better practice the topic being studied.

    Minuses:

    A lot of things are left behind. In addition to the formation of specific knowledge, skills and abilities, it is necessary to develop mental processes (memory, thinking, attention, imagination and perception), as well as prepare the hand for writing. In addition, there is also creativity: drawing, modeling, appliqué. You can, of course, expand the list of courses and increase their number to five to seven per day, but few people do this. However, this is not the main drawback of the complex;

    Older children know what awaits them on a given day - interesting the world or boring reading. An open schedule reduces motivation to learn;

The most important thing is that the foundations of the development and learning process are violated. I'll explain now. The activities of clubs, of course, are results-oriented. And the results pedagogical work serve as formed skills and abilities: reading, counting, writing, the ability to roll sausages from plasticine, and mental properties that are not so noticeably manifested outwardly: mental actions and thinking operations, attention properties, indicators of memory development, etc. For learning and development progressed successfully, it is necessary to take into account the laws of memory functioning. Thus, even in short-term memory, information will be consolidated only if it is reproduced and repeated within three to four days. There is no point in talking about long-term memory yet. In other words, in order for a child to remember the letter “A” or “M”, he must be reminded of this at least twice a week, otherwise the information will always end up in working memory, that is, it will be perceived almost as new every time. Look again at the above structure of the complex: mathematics is carried out only on Thursdays. This means that it takes six whole days from one lesson to the next! Since the law of repetition is violated, short-term and long-term memory cry bitter tears and give way to operative memory, which does not allow achieving the intended results and glorifying the effective methods of the club.

    Actually complex classes

An alternative to a set of courses are general developmental classes, the structure of each of which includes reading, mathematics, mastering the surrounding world, speech formation, and the development of mental processes.

and creativity, etc. The duration of such classes is usually 40–50 minutes. This is more than enough, since the classes are dynamic and intense.

Is it really possible to fit all the listed courses into 45 minutes and even dilute them with motor breaks and outdoor games? Quite. However, the methodologist must clearly outline the core of the lesson and develop a structure that would allow the gradual formation of knowledge and skills, purposefully develop certain thinking operations and attention properties, and also demonstrate to parents the effectiveness effective methodology club.

How is a complex lesson indicated in the schedule (Table 4.2)?

Table 4.2. Complex classes: example schedule

If the structure of a course complex is completely transparent, since it identifies the specific subjects being studied and all that remains is to select tasks, then the structure of the complex lesson itself is more complex. Let's look at it with a specific example.

Lesson plan for one year old children.

    1. Greeting.

    2. Development of perception and thinking (color, classification by color). The bear and the bunny share objects.

    3. Musical warm-up.

    4. Development of hand-eye coordination. Stringing. Pyramids for a bear and a bunny.

    5. Outdoor game “The gray bunny is sitting.”

    6. Mathematics. The concepts of “one, many, none.” The bear collects mushrooms.

    7. Massage break.

    8. Development of fine motor skills of the hands. The bunny is making soup.

    9. An outdoor game with flags “We will wave high.”

    10. Development of fine motor skills of the hands. Modeling. We prepare cutlets for the bear and the bunny.

    11. Development of perception. Color. Cups and saucers for tea drinking.

    12. Finger gymnastics"One two three four five…".

    13. Preparing your hand for writing. Drawing straight vertical lines. The bunny puts the cups on the saucers.

    14. Creativity. Palm drawing. Passepartout. Ball for a bear and a bunny.

    15. Farewell.

As you can see, the complex lesson is aimed at solving several major problems: the development of perception and thinking; development of fine motor skills of the hands; formation of mathematical concepts; preparing the hand for writing, etc. Moving pauses, which also carry a developmental load, are highlighted in italics. The above plan does not allow us to identify the core of a comprehensive lesson for one-year-old children - for this it is necessary to analyze several similar plans and highlight the same points, which will turn out to be the core. It is clear that the structure of classes for children three to four years old, and even more so five years old and older, will be very different from the structure of classes for one-year-old children.

Now let's look at the advantages and disadvantages of complex training itself.

    Pros:

If you schedule classes two or three times a week, the law of repetition begins to apply. And reading and math,

    and the preparation of the hand for writing will be given attention at least twice a week. The effectiveness of such activities is obvious;

    Children do not get tired because the activities are varied and often replace each other. Each item on the plan usually takes from 3 to 10 minutes, no more;

Due to the constant change of activities, positive motivation for learning increases significantly.

    Minuses:

    At first, parents have little understanding of what exactly their children are doing and demand additional explanations, because the schedule simply says “complex lesson”;

    The methodologist or teacher must conduct great job to make the lesson holistic, interesting and effective;

    The methodologist must clearly define the core of complex classes;

Less time is allocated for each course: mathematics, reading, creativity, so the methodologist has to select assignments more carefully.

Our club adheres to the second model. Teachers have the expertise to make complex lessons lasting only 50 minutes fun, rich, varied, effective and unique - so that parents understand: “Yes, these are great lessons.” But everything did not come at once - it was necessary to select and process a colossal amount of methodological material.

Thus, the structure of general developmental classes may be different, but they take into account both the psychophysiological characteristics of children and the needs of parents. Therefore, when organizing work with preschoolers, comprehensive classes cannot be avoided.

Developmental centers for children: 6 stages of opening + 8 requirements for premises + list of equipment + 5 advertising methods + detailed calculations + 5 tips from experienced businessmen.

The excessive attachment of modern children to computer technology leads to the fact that they lose interest in ordinary children's pastimes: drawing, dancing, outdoor games, etc. Because of this, children’s memory deteriorates, they become absent-minded, their eyes may hurt from spending too long in front of monitors and their vision may deteriorate.

To avoid unpleasant consequences, many parents send their babies to child development centers.

Throughout the day or several hours, teachers work with the children, teach them new sciences or art, and make their inner world richer.

If for parents such institutions are a salvation, for businessmen this idea can become a source of great profit. Let's figure out what you need to do if you want to become an owner.

Where to start opening a development center for children?

As soon as you decide to open a development center for children in your city, immediately start drawing up a business plan. It will include the main stages of creating a business, as well as approximate calculations.

Almost all business plans consist of the following stages:

    1. Business registration and collection of permits from government authorities.
    2. Renting or purchasing premises.
    3. Purchase of equipment and furniture.
    4. Recruitment of personnel.
    5. Creating a lesson plan.
    6. Advertising a children's center through various means communications.

Do not forget also that it is necessary to conduct a market analysis. Find out if there are similar establishments in your region, what they offer to children, what prices for services are set, what are their key advantages.

After research, decide what your developmental plan will be. child Center:

    1. What age is the establishment intended for?
    2. How many people are you willing to accept?
    3. What will you teach children at the center?
    4. Will you teach yourself or hire teachers?

There is no need to be afraid that a development institution will not have demand. Today, many parents are willing to pay for their children to work on themselves and develop not only in the exact sciences, but also in creativity.

In addition, mothers and fathers love to share the successes of their children with others, so rumors about a new development center will fly by quickly.

Example of a business plan for developmental centers for children: 6 stages

This section is an example of a business plan from scratch for a children's development center. Here we briefly describe exactly what stages need to be completed in order for the business to work in the market.

Of course, each city has its own characteristics when creating a new enterprise, but in general the picture looks like this.

Stage No. 1. Preparation of documentation and registration of individual entrepreneurs.

The first thing you need to do is register individual(center owner) as .

Since the center is associated with the educational process, you should be extremely careful. According to the Law of the Russian Federation “On Education”, tutoring, preparing children for school or conducting other educational processes is possible only after obtaining a license from the Ministry of Education.

This is a very long process: it is necessary to collect a lot of documents, create a unique curriculum, and prepare teaching materials. Moreover, it will take a long time to wait for approval from the committee.

Be prepared for the fact that you will have to repeatedly bring new documents or redo old ones.

When starting a business at a development center for children, you can do without obtaining a license from the Ministry of Education. After all, it will be faster, and you can save money.

To do this, it is enough to obtain from the tax service such a form of business management as a private individual pedagogical activity. With this status, it is allowed to hire any personnel for work, except for educated teachers.

In order for experienced teachers to work in your child development center, they must also have the status of individual entrepreneurs. Otherwise, you will have to obtain a license and open an LLC.

To obtain individual entrepreneur status from the tax office, you must go through the following steps:

Do not forget that after repairing the premises you will have to contact the SES and fire inspectorate. You have no right to work without their permission.

The relevant authorities will tell you in detail what the standards should be. Follow them when preparing the premises for opening.

Stage No. 2. We are looking for a place for a children's center.

When choosing a room for classes with children, be guided by how many children will be in one group. As a rule, in development centers one group does not exceed 10 people.

This is not - here a child needs his own approach; teachers must pay special attention to maximum amount your attention to each child.

Based on this, we can determine that the premises of a developmental center for children should be small (approximately 50-100 m2), but at the same time meet the following requirements:

    1. The ceiling height in the rooms is at least 3 meters.
    2. You definitely need a separate room for a bathroom, a locker room (at least a small closet in front of the entrance doors), an office for teachers and a common room where children will study.
    3. The walls must be painted, because you will have to constantly wet clean all the rooms in the center.
    4. Stick to standard room temperature: 19-21 degrees.
    5. The fire inspectorate will definitely require that all switches and sockets be at a height of 1.8 meters.
    6. Each room must be ventilated.
    7. The presence of a fire exit and fire protection system is mandatory.
    8. The room where children will spend time should be well lit.

Choose a room that is built in a separate building to avoid conflicts with neighbors.

Stage No. 3. Purchase of equipment for a children's development center.

As soon as you rent a room and carry out renovations there, you can start decorating the premises.

It is difficult to say exactly what materials and equipment will need to be purchased - it all depends on the choice of the format of your establishment.

We will only indicate what any developmental center for children cannot do without:

    Name of productQuantityPrice, rub.)
    TOTAL:227,000 rubles
    Laptops for staff work
    3 69 000
    Tables for teachers and directors
    3 7 800
    Chairs
    6 4 800
    Wardrobe
    2 23 000
    Children's toilets
    3 9 900
    Washbasins
    3 32 000
    Carpet
    1 10 500
    Children's chairs
    10 7 700
    Table for children
    2 14 800
Purchase of toys and educational materials From 30 000
Printer, scanner, copier (3 in 1)
    1 12 500
Small stationery for work (paper, pens, notepads, etc.) From 5 000

When it comes to furniture for children, it is best to make an individual order. This way you can choose the material, design and other details.

If your center also has a place for games, you will have to purchase foreign toys that are guaranteed not to cause allergies in children.

The best brands are Chicco or Toys. However, keep in mind: the price of such toys is high and not everyone can afford it.

If you have a minimum budget, buy domestic toys in bulk from the manufacturer, but demand quality certificates from him - then you, not him, will have to answer to the children’s parents.

Relatively educational materials, it is worth relying on the program that you create for children in your center. You can reduce the fee for classes, but at the same time ask parents to buy the necessary materials themselves.

Stage No. 4. Recruitment of personnel for children.

Even a small development center takes a lot of time, so it’s impossible to do without additional help. It is necessary to hire a person who will take on administrative work if you do not have time to do everything yourself.

From the housekeeping staff, it is necessary to invite a cleaner and a security guard to work.

Depending on the format of the institution, you will also have to hire at least two teachers and one psychologist. Their number directly depends on the number of children in the group and the extensiveness of the course.

If you decide to expand your development center, you will have to increase your staff.

When hiring new members of the teaching staff, you need to be very careful. Be sure to ask for letters of recommendation from past jobs and ask a lot of questions.

These people will be responsible for the life and health of children for a certain time, so negligence can cost the director of a development center dearly.

If you are aiming for children to gain new knowledge in your center, teachers should come up with some kind of rating scale so that the kids have a goal to achieve maximum praise. If your center is just a place where, then you can do without any ratings.

The most important thing is that your staff can give the kids care, attention, and teach them something new and interesting. If clients have a negative opinion about the center’s staff, then the establishment will not be successful and will soon close.

Employees of the children's development center will have to spend from 100 thousand rubles per month on salaries:

Stage No. 5. Lesson plan for center students.

Both the business owner and future teachers should work on the program for the development center. This is an important stage; how the business will develop depends on it.

Most developmental centers for children offer the following services:

    1. Music lessons.
    2. Dancing.
    3. Learning foreign languages.
    4. Lessons in reading, writing, counting.
    5. Development of creative abilities (drawing, appliqué, bead weaving, etc.).

All of the above is considered the generally accepted canon; similar classes are held in every center.

So, if your development center for children is not the first in the city, be prepared for high competition.

However, the demand for children's centers preschool development remains stable high level, because in groups of educational institutions of this kind are small, sometimes there is not enough space for everyone.

If you want to surprise visitors to your developmental institution, offer them courses such as cooking for children, cinema, theater, etc.

Which side you will develop in children depends only on the flow of imagination of the owners and teachers of the center.

In order not to make a mistake when choosing a development direction, conduct a short survey among potential clients, children and their parents. This will help you understand what exactly the target audience expects from the center.

Stage No. 6. How to advertise your future center for children?

Good development centers advertise themselves based on word of mouth. Parents on playgrounds, in schools and kindergartens they share with their friends that a wonderful institution has appeared for children, where they study and at the same time have a good time.

But in order for this principle to work, it is necessary to recruit a group of children and prove to them your unique position in the market.

    1. Create a website with prices for services, photos of the establishment, general characteristic center personnel (work experience, education, achievements in pedagogy).
    2. Post information about the site and, accordingly, the center on forums (women's, city, for young parents).
    3. Distribute advertising for the establishment through print media, in magazines for mothers.
    4. Print a batch of flyers and business cards. Distribute this paper advertisement of the center to playgrounds, kindergartens, schools, and offices.
    5. Order a bright sign for your development center, and also arrange a grand opening with loud music, a lot of balloons, small gifts for children.

How quickly can a development center for children pay for itself?

In general, you need to spend from 490,000 rubles to open a center for children.

Its key components are the following costs:

In addition, do not forget that you will have to pay tax to the treasury on a monthly basis, as well as pay utility bills.

On average, every month for one child in development centers they pay from 2-3,000 rubles. In most institutions, it is possible to pay only for one visit, and this starts from about 300 rubles.

Based on average statistics, a development center for children should pay for itself in 1.5-2 years. The profitability of this business is 10-15%. It all depends on what format you have chosen for the establishment, the number of children, and operating hours.

To increase your income, you can add new techniques every month or quarter. For example, invite a speech therapist to work. Today, many children need specialist help. Hold one-off activities with parents and children where they can spend time together and create something with their own hands.

It would be nice if you opened a store near the center where you can buy any goods for children - from stationery to clothing.

5 useful tips for beginning businessmen on opening a children's development center

Developmental centers for children are in great demand among the population of our country. The main thing for the success of your endeavors is to correctly define the concept and not miss anything important.

To reduce costs and at the same time achieve payback faster, pay attention to the following tips from experienced businessmen:

If you have competitors in this business, you must come up with original idea for the center, which can show your personality and attract the attention of others.

For example, once a month, organize fun family games or invite animators to host a party for children.

To find out what exactly parents and their children want from your development center, conduct surveys through questionnaires.

Listen to the advice of visitors, try to fulfill their wishes.

At first, you can carry out classes lasting 2-3 hours.

If you see that there is demand, you can enlarge the center and make it a mini-kindergarten.

Run promotions that will help attract new customers.

For example, if parents bring another child, they will receive a discount on classes.

If your institution operates without a license, then in the work book or contract of the teacher It’s better to write a position for a consultant or an instructor.

This is in case your employees do not have individual entrepreneur status.

The most important thing is to love children and your work, then everything will work out for you, success will not take long to arrive.

Classes in a development center are often built on the principles of a certain author’s methodology, for example, the Zheleznovs, Zaitsev, Waldorf pedagogy, the card system of classes or Manichenko’s manuals.

For kids, classes are offered to develop such skills as: improving fine motor skills, speech development, creative and logical thinking. For older children there are creative workshops, art studios, and dance classes. Each center offers health-promoting activities in its program: exercises, physical education, outdoor games, visits to the pool and others.

Entertainment events, such as puppet shows and performances, organization of children's parties, birthdays, etc., are very widely represented in the centers.

The duration of one lesson in a development center varies depending on the child’s age and focus - from 30 minutes to 1.5 hours. Naturally, parents are present at classes with children under one year old. Classes can be built on the principle of free interaction (mother and child study at their own pace and sequence) or have a given structure (the teacher focuses on certain didactic materials and monitors the time).

What will classes at a development center give a child?

As a rule, a child will not become a child prodigy from such activities and will not receive a diploma from a development center, but interesting event the baby is guaranteed time. In addition, with the help of various exercises and techniques, parents can see what the child likes most and what he does better than his peers, what the child is more inclined to (drawing, designing, singing or dancing).

To expand their clientele and attract parents with children, many centers conduct lectures for adults, psychological trainings and training seminars.

How to choose a good development center in your city?

The first and most important thing in choosing is to visit the chosen center. No one will force you to pay for this excursion.

It is important that the rooms for activities with the baby are spacious and bright. Methodological materials were present in sufficient quantities and varied. It would be good if the center had a room where parents of preschoolers or schoolchildren can calmly wait for their child.

Ask about the number of children in the group. Find out in advance how many children are allowed for your chosen activity. Groups with 6-8 people are considered the best for the learning process. In larger groups, it will be more difficult for the teacher to provide an individual approach to each child.

Pay attention to the program and duration. Due to the fact that children cannot hold their attention for long, the lesson program should be varied and interesting. In the classroom, teachers must teach the child how to handle this or that developmental material, ensure that tasks are completed correctly, and offer the child materials and tasks that will help expand his knowledge.
