Ruffles, as well as the tiers of the skirt, are rectangles.
The skirt for a 6 year old girl (height 125) consists of 3 layers.
- 1st layer: top 1.5 m * 15 cm of crepe-satin (as a result, I think it was necessary to make it longer, 20 centimeters, otherwise a lot was bent into the elastic), middle 4 m * 11 cm, bottom 10 m * 11 cm. The ruffle for the lower tier is 20 m * 5 cm, the edges of the rolls are processed using an overlocker, gold Madeira thread was used on the upper looper, it is very good, easy to sew, our 1000 m spool costs 300 rubles, it took 2 spools in total. The ruffle is gathered in the middle and sewn at the bottom of the lower layer, approximately so that the edges of it and the layer coincide.
- Layer 2: top 2m*15cm, middle 4m*22cm, bottom 2 pieces each 8m*11cm, respectively 2 ruffles 16m*5cm, sew on each of the bottoms.
- 3rd layer is the same as the second.
We collect all 4 lower tiers with sewn ruffles together, gather the top edge and sew onto the 2 middle tiers layers 2 and 3, also folded together, so that all their lower edges coincide. We pull the upper skirt onto the lower one, placing folds on the lower one (it is 0.5 m wider), bend the top as standard for a drawstring under the elastic, mine is 3 cm wide. That's all.
