It turned out so talentedly that we have long had the feeling that this tradition is hundreds of years old. We want to remind you, dear readers, of some of our favorite New Year's tales.
The New Year originally developed in the USSR as children's party. Let us remember that on January 1, for many years, all workers went to work in the morning. It was only in 1947 that the first day of the new year was declared a non-working day.
Well, adults only got multi-day vacations in our time. And for children, the New Year has always been the beginning winter holidays- with Christmas trees, with children's festivals in cinemas and Pioneer Houses, with cartoon premieres, with gifts. The festive atmosphere was felt in children's radio programs and in toy stores.
The tradition was formed before the eyes of the pre-war generation: the granddaughter Snegurochka appeared next to Grandfather, they were helped by hares and snowmen, and devilry tried to disrupt the holiday. But the vigilant Grandfather Frost stands guard over justice. Since 1938, Santa Clauses paratroopers have parachuted into the most remote corners of the country so that the children there would not be deprived of gifts. The aviation fairy tale, like the fairy tale about the Arctic, was a sign of those first Stalinist Christmas trees.

The cartoon is called “When the Christmas Trees Light Up.” Perhaps the most perfect creation of Dedmorozov's animation. Director Mstislav Pashchenko managed to create a masterpiece for all times. This is the golden ratio New Year's fairy tale.
Writer Vladimir Suteev is one of the main creators of the New Year's fairy tale. A true creator of a monumental and kind legend! The heroes of the fairy tale are children, brother and sister, Lucy and Vanya. The gifts reach them with adventures, and Vanya, meanwhile, learns to overcome attacks of cowardice. This is where the poems of Sergei Mikhalkov sound - the anthem of the New Year holidays:

“Santa Claus and the Gray Wolf” is a pre-war cartoon that was little known. Now it has become more accessible - glory to the Internet, glory to torrents. And the bright, albeit black and white, work of Olga Khodataeva is always ready for viewing. And yet this film is undeservedly forgotten. But from time to time television shows the 1978 version - a re-film adaptation of this fairy tale by Suteev.
The first Soviet New Year's film fairy tale was published in 1937, and it is not surprising that the obnoxious Wolf's habits resemble the pest fist from the cartoons of that time. Children of the fifties remembered this cartoon firmly and fell in love with it for the rest of their lives. There is an adventure in this fairy tale, it takes your breath away - and at the same time we are not the least bit afraid. A chaste, bright fairy tale. It was written by Vladimir Suteev. The focus is on one of the main characters new year tradition, which took shape in those years. The animated Snowman is a resourceful, although seemingly clumsy, good-natured fellow. His siblings stood in almost every yard in those days - thus, every child could join the fairy tale. And so the children sent the Snowman on a dangerous journey to get the Christmas tree, to get the holiday.
Dangerous opponents live in the magical forest: eagle owl, fox. They are trying to stop the Snowman. But the postman also has an assistant - a kind bear. The snowman still gets to Frost. And all this - to the amazing music of Nikita Bogoslovsky.
Well, Georgy Vitsin speaks for the Snowman, who had not yet acted as the Coward, but had already caught comic intonations. Vitsin is perhaps the main decoration of this cartoon, although the artists here are at their best. Marshak wrote his Christmas tale during the war years, in the most non-holiday years. In the winter of 1942, happiness shone dimly. Marshak turned to the tradition of European fairy tales: the action takes place in Bohemia. The professor teaches the queen - an arrogant girl. This fairy tale contained hints that preschoolers could hardly “read,” but their parents enjoyed. And children found something of their own in such films, learned to see the world in vague subtexts.

They say that it was the idea of this film that brought Tatarsky to Moscow from Kyiv. The unusual film caused bewilderment among conservatives, but, as they say, it sold for quotes. I was seriously upset. Although he himself consisted of them.
