Use droplets of glue to connect adjacent halves (one adjacent at the top and the other at the bottom). You will get a beautiful voluminous ball with an original color.
Newspaper is also useful for creating Christmas balls. It needs to be torn into small pieces and glued onto any ball (glass, plastic or foam) using a brush. After the glue has dried, you can start decorating: this can be beautiful inscription or a New Year's themed drawing, black and white colors will look more impressive. 
Very good technique- balls made from paper tubes. You will need a foam ball and several sheets of thin paper. You can take old newspapers and magazines. You need to twist paper into tight tubes. Apply glue to the ball and attach the beginning paper straw. Next, wrap the entire ball with tubes in a spiral, fastening the ends of the tubes with glue. It will turn out very original Christmas decorations.
Christmas balls made of fabric
Take thin fabric suitable colors, preferably small rectangular patches. Wrap the ball in fabric, tie the edges with a beautiful braid, you can decorate it with a bow, small cones or pine needles, artificial snow around the edges will also look good. It is important that the color of the fabric matches well with the braid and other decor.
If there are a lot of small scraps or scraps of fabric in the house, you can also make creative New Year's balls from them. The basis is the same foam ball or any round object (even a bag filled with rags). You can decorate it with ruffles from shreds or tightly sew small pieces of fabric. Christmas balls made of threads
Using the same principle as the ball was previously covered with paper spirals, you can decorate it with decorative threads. And to make it even more beautiful, you can add a thread with beads, beads or sequins. It looks very elegant and festive. 
Thick woolen threads that are left over, for example, after knitting a winter sweater, are also suitable. The ball is wrapped in them in a chaotic manner and becomes like a ball. The decoration can be two wooden skewers or Chinese chopsticks. 
To create an openwork ball from threads you will need a balloon, a thick thread, preferably a single color, and PVA glue. Balloon inflate a little (about the size of a Christmas tree decoration). Wind threads coated with glue in a chaotic manner and let the structure dry. Then pierce the ball with a needle and remove what is left of it.
The result is a delicate openwork decoration that can be decorated with an elegant bow or beads. For greater effect, you can cover the product with glitter. 
A similar decoration can be made using lace instead of threads. It looks very gentle and gives the impression of home comfort. 
Christmas balls from other scrap materials
Such a ball will sparkle on the Christmas tree with all the colors of the rainbow, especially if you illuminate it with a garland. To make it, you will need unnecessary computer disks. They need to be cut into small pieces of arbitrary shape and glued to the base ball. This decor would look better on a transparent glass ball.
A ball covered with multi-colored buttons looks bright and original. This work will only take a few minutes, and even children can handle it. You can alternate buttons of different colors, large and small size. A bow made of thick thread will complement the composition. Instead of buttons, you can stick on gold-plated macaroni or ordinary coins. 
Will also fit natural materials. Take a white or transparent ball, attach small pine branches, a couple of cones and acorns to it. You can cover the composition with artificial snow or glitter, and decorate it with a bow made of red or gold ribbon. The decoration is ready!

Glue gun or superglue (Moment glue)

1. Prepare some paper and make several thin tubes out of it.
2. Roll the first tube into a spiral (to look like a snail).
3. Apply a drop of glue to the ball and press the tip of the rolled tube to this place. Wait until the tip sticks.
4. Apply glue in a spiral from the top of the head.
5. Glue the rest of the tube to the applied glue.
6. All other tubes need to be glued, continuing the spiral until you cover the entire surface of the ball. Where the ends of the tubes touch, apply glue to hold them together.

5. Wait 2 weeks for the craft to dry, or you can place it directly in the oven for an hour.

4. Apply white paint on the place where you want to make the drawing.
