I have known Avon for a long time, they have various interesting promotions, the quality is not bad for me. Not all cosmetics, of course, are suitable, but for the most part I can use them without harming myself.
This time I bought lipstick with a volume effect. Terracotta color.
The shade itself is quite bright and deep. It looks even richer on the lips.
The packaging is quite convenient, but the structure of the material itself is such that, due to its softness, it can break at any time. This bothered me a little because the product itself is good, it would be a shame to break it. Although the price is quite affordable, you can try all the colors of this line without much damage to your wallet.
I really liked the smell: light, without strong flavors, unobtrusive and pleasant.
I applied it in several layers to get the true shade. The lipstick feels soft and a little greasy, although it moisturizes wonderfully. It applies tightly, the color lasts a long time, practically does not rub off or smudge, unless you need to let it absorb into the skin.
I didn’t notice any significant volume even after several hours. Nothing tingled or felt cold as it should have been, but visual increase was ensured by the slight gloss of the fondant itself. To enhance the effect, I had to apply glitter on top.
Overall, the product turned out to be good, but, in my opinion, it is more suitable for winter than summer. And I was disappointed by the lack of the increasing effect stated in the description. It may have manifested itself in some people, but not in me.
Maxi-volume" SPF 15
Second lipstick increasing lip volume turned out to be from the same company. It's called "Maxi-Volume" from Avon. Color "Radiant Pink"
The price is quite affordable, wide choose colors. The tube has a good design with a claim to luxury. It closes with a slight click and holds tightly.
This time I chose mother-of-pearl with sparkles, also known as shimmering particles.
The smell is a pleasant mint aroma. I have been looking for a pencil or gloss with this effect for a long time. By the way, other flavors are sometimes mixed with mint, but this depends on the chosen shade.
Also, after application, it tingles and cools your lips for a while, making them feel a little plump. It’s quite difficult to tell visually, but compared to other products from this company, the lips seem to be enlarged. It’s not like they were pumped with something, but quite naturally.
In addition, the composition contains hyaluronic acid, which may cause a tingling sensation.
Easy to apply. Non-greasy and not very soft, at first it moisturizes the skin, and then for some reason it starts to dry out, although it claims to have a moisturizing effect. Maybe my lips are used to wetter options, but this is the first time it feels like this. It fits well, does not spread or roll, and does not get caught in folds.
The color is quite even and uniform, there’s nothing to complain about here. It is bright and long-lasting; if applied in several layers, it will be quite intense and rich; due to the glitter and mother-of-pearl, the lips are slightly enlarged.
They wear off slowly if you don't lick or eat them. For me it lasts, on average, 3-4 hours, then I have to renew it.
I would note two disadvantages. The first is that it dries out the skin, and from time to time you have to apply glitter on top.
Secondly, it's glitter. I don't know how the shimmering particles crawl onto my face from my mouth, but sometimes I look like a fairy covered in glitter. A very good effect for theatrical and entertainment events, but not for everyday use.
I will try a few more colors from this line, since I liked the mint effect most of all from this company.
For comparison, I took several more tubes containing hyaluronic acid and with the effect of increasing lip volume.
Giordani Gold
I purchased another shade from the “Sensual Color” line from Oriflame. Color: Seductive cream.
The bottle closes well and tightly, the design is very ordinary, I can’t say anything about it.
The fudge has a strange aroma and doesn’t evoke much sympathy.
If you apply it in one layer, the color will appear pale, but the thicker it is spread, the more it will sting and cool the skin. In general, the feeling was not very pleasant at first, but then it went away.
Naturally, my lips swollen and became larger as a result of this reaction, but I didn’t like the method of obtaining this effect. Moreover, I’m afraid to imagine what would happen if I carelessly licked my lips after applying lipstick.
Does not last long and leaves marks on the surface of objects. It doesn't moisturize, so you have to apply a layer of gloss on top.
In my opinion, the quality does not correspond to its price at all compared to other manufacturers in a similar price range.
Just recently, I was given a small set of luxury cosmetics for my birthday. Among other sample-sized creams, I received the Rephase ROLIPS lip serum as a gift.
This is certainly not a lipstick, but it is great as a moisturizing and healing base. In addition to hydration, I can also note a slight increase in volume in the lips and a pleasant smell.
The downside is that the serum is applied in a thick layer, and at first you feel discomfort on your lips, for the same reason it runs out quickly. And the price. I would not have been able to purchase such a product on my own.
