And since they were separated from the exit by a long series of narrow corridors with winding turns, this task seemed not so easy. When everyone got into cars, the wedding procession went to the regional center to register the marriage at the registry office, the time for which was already approaching.

The registration procedure itself was almost no different from that in our city. The only difference was that the wedding procession did not all enter the registration hall at once. First, the guests entered and stood along the walls, thus forming a corridor. And only then, along this corridor, the bride and groom solemnly entered the hall to loud applause and Mendelssohn's march. This, of course, was somewhat unusual. It was also not unusual that the bride and groom also stood against the wall in our row, and stood there for the entire ceremony. Therefore, I had to lean out from a number of guests in order to see the bride and groom and take photographs.
It was a little more jarring that at the end of the marriage registration ceremony, the host asked the groom to give the name of his wife. He named her using her last name. After the young people went out to the impatient guests, the wedding procession went to the groom's house to conduct the "bread and salt" ceremony. Not a long wedding walk was hung up. In the village you can’t especially walk around - there are not many remarkable places.
At the entrance to the groom's house, our cortege was again stopped - the groom's neighbors built a "constriction", blocking the road in two places at once. After a little bargaining and having received the due ransom, they went home, wishing the young people happiness.
Ritual "Bread and salt"
Then everyone moved to the groom's house, where his parents met the young with "bread and salt." True, it happened so quickly that when we drove up to the groom's house (our car was the last in the motorcade), everything was already over.
But the most interesting, as it turned out, was yet to come. When all the guests followed the newlyweds to the entrance to the groom's house, his mother leaned out of the door and threw a handful of coins and sweets into the crowd (there was no sprinkling at the registry office). It is not clear how she didn’t gouge out anyone’s eye: the candy hit my wife right in the forehead. Several other people were also injured. It's just that the mother of the groom, out of habit, did not calculate the strength. Subsequent throws were more successful.
Wedding banquet - day one
After a small buffet table, the wedding cortege headed to the venue of the wedding banquet. Meanwhile, it was only the first hour of the day.
